Batrep: Skarsnik vs Morathi

Really glad that Defeng has joined the Blood in the Badlands Campaign held at Titan. He put a 2000 point force and off we went to Titan Games for our game.

Added 3 Trolls, 2x5 Wolves to my list from the extra points

Batrep: Night Goblins vs High Elves

I played this battle last week and meant to put it up sooner but work took the better part of my time. Here it is. I played a 1800 points of Night Goblins led by Snarsnik against the High Elves of Alarielle played by Dennis Sng. This was part of the Blood in the Badlands Campaign by Titan Games.

The mission was a little strange. Something that Rico of Titan Games cooked up. We rolled the following terrain.

Everything ready

My level 4 Nigh Goblin Shaman rolled these up

Deployed most of my stuff on this Scree Slope. I repositioned my Rock Lobba once we found out that I needed LOS

1800 Points of Night Goblins

Just got back from a 2 week break to Japan so have not really been working extensively on my models. I did however get some time yesterday evening to break out my Night Goblins for an upcoming campaign called Blood in the Badlands.

The only exception to the norm is that you need to include 2 special characters. I looked at my OAG book and found that the two cheapest Lord and Hero. So here you have it, Skarsnik and Snaggla, leading my 1800 points of Night Goblins.

I will be playing some Fantasy between my 40k gaming just to throw a little diversity into my gaming diet.

The horde gathers again

Fresh in the box. Sure glad I didn't sell them off!
Work still continues on my Eldar in preparation for my game on 12th May with Abdullah as the store has a fully painted policy.

Also, Sam will be running a narrative campaign for 40k really soon. He has already sent me the draft and I am hoping to draw in some committed players for this 3 turn campaign. I will let Sam fill everyone in.

Warlock and Farseer on Jetbike WIP

Added more layers to the Warlock on Jetbike. I have also added the colour block-in for my banner. Added in the highlight for the jetbike carapace with Pink Horror. I was surprised because I used a simple drybrush technique and the end result was actually very smooth. I was half expecting it to come out flaky but because I used very thin layers, the gradient was very pleasing. Pink Horror has a slight orange tinge to it so if you are thinking of doing the same for Craftworld Altansar, you've been warned!

The gentle drybrush. This was layer 1.

Started washing in the base colours for the back banner

While the jetbike was drying, I started using the new smaller diameter magnets for my Night Goblins.
Focussed on the bike and got the carapace done up. Also added the highlights to the gems.

More angles to show the drybrush to the carapace.

Added gentle gradients to the wing tips and blocked in the colours for the Lion Banner

Started blocking out colours for my Farseer on Jetbike

Underside of the cape is Bleached Bone
I have to own up though. This post was created awhile ago but I forgot to publish it for some reason (this was done prior to my Guardian repaint). I have resolved to change the Bleached Bone parts to pure white similar to my Guardians to create the clean look. Once I have done this, I will put the photos up for you to enjoy!

Video Batrep: 2500 Points of Orcs & Goblins vs High Elves

Got a game of Fantasy in with Defu who is our resident High Elf player.

I changed my list from the previous games and now included 2 units of 20 Night Goblin archers instead of 2 blocks of 49 Night Goblin Spears. Head on over to the YouTube channel and watch the following batrep! And as always, please leave a comment!

These are the pictures from the game. Please refer to the batrep if you want to know what went on in the game!
