Canadian Singer Nelly Furtado & Husband Demacio Castellon Split After 8 Years

Canadian-Portugese singer and songwriter Nelly Furtado has confirmed that she and her husband of 8 years Demacio Castellon have split.

The 38-year-old singer made an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women on Wednesday, where she spoke about the split.

She said; “I am single now, Someone here needs to update my Wikipedia—it’s not helping my dating life!”

“I went through an emotionally difficult time last summer and I actually wrote and sung myself songs to get through it, I would sing to myself while I drove on these long drives and I thought to myself, ‘I’m so lucky that I can write songs because I can soothe myself with them.’” She added.

An American author named Shawn James recently wrote a controversial essay titled 'Why Real Men Avoid Single Mothers' - detailing 15 reasons why men should not date single mothers. It's got people talking. Is he hurt by a single mother or is on pint with his write-up?

Now Canada is about to get its own couple whose wedding will be their second trip down the aisle.

Engaged couple Misty Moneo and Spencer Pennington, both from Assiniboia, Sask., are in the process of planning their wedding. They’ll tell you that inklings of their romantic relationship began when the two were in the fifth grade.

"We were making Christmas decorations for the door decorating contest and he literally came up to me and said, 'I have a confession to make: I really like you,'" says Moneo.

The couple eventually began dating in 2006, when they were in Grade 10 – but they first shared the big day together more than two decades ago at Pennington’s aunt’s wedding.

The judge also dismissed claims for orders that she reimburse them for the cost of the wedding — around $50,000, the groom’s mother says — and return any wedding gifts she received.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a married man, with People magazine reporting that the Looper star and longtime girlfriend Tasha McCauley tied the knot on Dec. 20.

Joseph has kept his relationship with the Tasha — co-founder of a robotics company in Silicon Valley — under the radar, and revealed to Howard Stern in a 2013 interview that she prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

Father of seven Thomas Bolton, 56, shocked his family by returning from a fishing holiday, with an unusual catch - a bride more than three decades his junior.

Mr Bolton fell 'hook line and sinker' for Jainaba Sawo, 24, during the trip with his brothers in Gambia - with the pair tying the knot just three weeks later.

Despite concerns from Mr Bolton's family that Jainaba was 'just after a visa', the husband and wife have been happily married for three years and now have a 17-month-old son, Malang.

Jainaba and Thomas first met in December 2011 in Tallinding, Serrekunda in western Gambia, while Thomas was holidaying with his brothers.

The joiner, from Accrington, Lancashire, said: 'I went to Gambia on a fishing trip with my brothers and came back with a wife. It was very unexpected, but I'm so happy.
