Excerpts From Actress Jennifer Lopez Close Interview With Complex Magazine

Actress Jennifer Lopez is sexy in a white body suit for the new cover of Complex magazine.  read excerpts from her interview below;

The setting, her home...after dinner....in mommy mode:
Our interview takes place after dinner, in a book-lined office/study neatly crammed with all types of J.Lo memorabilia-but not before Lopez reminds her kids, twins Emme and Max, that they have school tomorrow, and have to be in bed by 8 p.m. When she finally enters, Jennifer is barefoot and looking super comfortable in ready-for-bed wear. Yes, the icon wears regular pajamas, and she looks great. Speaking with the aura of a seasoned self-help guru, she reveals how she got to this happy place.
On fairytales about relationships that little girls are taught:
Yeah, well, that’s what we’re taught when we’re little. Little girls are taught that especially. Prince Charming is gonna come along. You’re going to live happily ever after, and then that doesn’t happen. You have your first boyfriend in high school and that falls apart and you’re like, “What’s going on?” [Laughs.] All of these things get shattered one by one. It’s so unfair.

HipHop Elder Statesman Common Covers Rolling Out Magazine

Common

On hip hop’s evolution: Hip-hop evolves and constantly grows. And, it’s gonna change. It’s moving where the youth are moving. The youth lead hip-hop in many ways, but then again — you still have artists like myself that have been around in hip-hop a long time, putting out fresh music and new sounds.

On accepting a role in SELMA and working with Ava DuVernay: I’m more than honored to be a part of this. This is one of my most fulfilling moments in my life as an artist, actor and as a human being.

Fifty Shades of Grey Actor Jamie Dornan Covers Details Magazine’s February 2015 issue

Jamie Dornan
Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan is on the cover of Details magazine’s February 2015 issue and inside the magazine the 32-year-old hottie talks about his role as Christian Grey, his biggest fear and more.

Read excerpts from his interview below:

On his interest in playing Christian Grey:“[It had to do with] an attraction and understanding I have for people that are broken in some way. Not that I’m some broken bird, but there’s a massive element of me that’s fractured from losing my mother so young, and I’m drawn to characters who are wounded.”

On staying away from the Internet after his casting news was announced: “I think my publicist said, ‘Yeah, mostly good.’ [I’m] very aware of opinion regarding the film, whether it be positive or negative. It is, by its nature, an easy target.”

On his biggest fear: “I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I’ll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere. Because a lot of people are very angry that I’m playing this character. And I’m a father now, and a husband. I don’t want to die yet.”

On joking about his biggest fear: “And when I do get murdered, people will say, ‘God, isn’t it haunting how he did that interview in Details magazine and predicted his own death on the red carpet?’”

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow Covers February Issue Of 'Harper's Bazaar'

BRENT FURDYK ET
Gwyneth Paltrow opens up like never before in an interview with Harper's Bazaar editor-in-chief Justine Picardie for the magazine's February issue.

One topic that gets under Gwyneth's skin is when women are nasty and critical towards other women. "Women really need to examine why they’re so vitriolic to other women," she says. "Why they want to twist words, why they want to read about someone else in a negative light and why that feels good to them… But I also know a huge tribe of women who are loving and supportive of other women, in ways that are completely transformative."

She also discusses the ever-changing role that women play in society, and how this changes their self-perception: "I think we are a generation of women who are different in a lot of respects, and some of us want to be ambitious, and for it not to be a dirty word," she says. "We want to be feminine and soft, we want to be maternal, we want to be sexual, we want to be explorers – and we can be a combination of all of these archetypes. You can be powerful, but you can also be vulnerable… [I have] learnt the power of kindness and the importance of non-judgemental ways of looking at others."

Excerpts From Rapper Lil Wayne Interview With Nylon Magazine

nylonguyslilwayne
According to the rapper, himself as well as BeyoncĂ© and Kanye West are “the last of a dying breed”. In an interview with Nylon magazine (which he lands the cover), he talks about his upcoming album, rapping and much more.

Read excerpts from his interview below:

On rapping: When I first started doing it, you only did it to be the best— not to have a hot song or popularity or for Instagram or Twitter. I’m one of the last of a dying breed…the ones who are only about the music. You have to want to be unforgettable. The only other people who I can think of like that are Kanye West and BeyoncĂ©.

On his process: I’m just a regular street n____ that’s a little smarter than the rest. I rap whatever comes up in my head. Whatever rhymes with the next word and how I’m feeling. I start rapping and we find something within what I just said and make a song out of it.

On weed: I don’t know how it works, but I know that I need weed…extra when I’m creating. It helps in a major way.

In a very candid chat, she talks to the magazine about sex, marriage and much more. Here’s what the 30-year-old reality star had to share with the magazine:

On love and sex: “I don’t crave sex. I talked about it more openly when I was married because it’s more comfortable. I crave companionship – I just want to cuddle. I got married at 25 – I was young, but I loved it. I do like it when you save certain things for your marriage. I don’t think you should treat every guy you’re dating like your husband. It doesn’t make it special.”

Keke Palmer covers the January 2015 Issue of Essence Magazine

ESSENCE-Cover-Keke-PalmerShe covers the January 2015 issue of Essence magazine looking very grownup and sexy. 21-year-old Keke Palmer talks about being all grown up and making major career moves.

On playing Cinderella on Broadway: I know that the role of Cinderella is primarily for a Caucasian girl, but it didn’t stop me from going in and it didn’t stop them from seeing me. There is a bit of intimidation. You think about Denzel, Viola Davis, and you think; Only great people can do Broadway. That was the scariest thing about it, but I’m the type who thrives on pressure.

On moving on after a recent breakup: I realized that I’m a lot freer of a spirit. That was the beginning of me standing up for myself. I would love to have somebody but this is such a great time in my life, in my career. I really am liking myself.

On staying positive no matter what: I sometimes have an issue of wanting everybody to have that positive outlook, but you can’t change the way anybody else is gonna think

For more on how Keke Palmer responded to her nude images being hacked, why she takes social media sabbaticals and more, pick up the January issue of ESSENCE, on newsstands.

Excerpts From Chris Rock Cover Of NewYork Magazine December Issue

Chris Rock (1)Chris Rock covers the latest issue of New York where he dishes on his newest film Top Five and the Bill Cosby-scandal.

The 49-year-old actor and comedian also talks about the Ferguson saga, income inequality and much more.

Read excerpts from his interview below.

On Bill Cosby: “I don’t know what to say. What do you say? I hope it’s not true. That’s all you can say. I really do. I grew up on Cosby. I love Cosby, and I just hope it’s not true. It’s a weird year for comedy. We lost Robin, we lost Joan, and we kind of lost Cosby.”

On Barack Obama: “Kind of cool. I always say, cooler than most politicians, not as cool as actual cool people. He’s not cool like Jay Z’s cool. He’s not Eddie Murphy. But in a world of politicians …”

On income inequality: “If poor people knew how rich rich people are, there would be riots in the streets. If the average person could see the Virgin Airlines first-class lounge, they’d go, “What? What? This is food, and it’s free, and they … what? Massage? Are you kidding me?”

On being black and rich: “I don’t think I’ve had any meetings with black film execs. Maybe one. It is what it is. As I told Bill Murray, Lost in Translation is a black movie: That’s what it feels like to be black and rich.”

Excerpts! John Legend Covers Confidential Magazine

John Legend
Read excerpts from his interview below.

On whether he loved his wife, Chrissy Teigen since the moment they first met: “Not right away. I’m more cautious than that. I wasn’t like, ‘This is the woman I’m going to marry’ from day one. For me I’m the kind of person who needs to grow into that feeling. It was probably a couple of years in when I could already see us being together forever.”

On hit song “All of Me” being inspired by Chrissy: “The more you know someone, the more you’re inspired by your relationship. Also, I grew up just learning what it means to be in love with somebody… because I had never really been in love before. I guess you have to grow enough to be able to write that song with sincerity and authenticity.”

On his childhood: “I was a very precocious kid, so I was very thirsty for learning. I wanted to learn the piano. I wanted to study the encyclopedia. I wanted to do everything. I just wanted to soak up a lot of knowledge.”

But I feel comfortable with how I look and feel. I find a pregnant body to be beautiful and an incredible reminder of what a woman’s body is made to do.”

On her pregnancy cravings: “Being in New York [to film Kourtney and KhloĂ© Take the Hamptons for E! over the summer], I’ve been craving bagels. I had to have one every day. I don’t eat a whole one because New York bagels are so big—I usually eat a half with cream cheese and jelly. I just tried cream cheese and honey on a toasted flagel [flat bagel]—so good.”

On her advice to younger sister Kim before having North West: “I gave her the same
advice that my grandmother gave me: Don’t worry about having all of the gear and the
perfect room. All that a baby needs, we have to give them.”

On making By The Sea with husband Brad Pitt: “Compared to Unbroken, this film is a walk in the park. The tricky thing is directing myself and directing Brad. It’s hard, dramatic material, and we’re balancing. It’s a heavy film, and it’s not easy for us. But even as you struggle through it, you’re in the trenches together and you don’t expect it to be easy. We’re challenging each other and that’s a really good thing.”

On Unbroken and her sons: “In the back of my mind, I wanted to make a film that would help my boys become better men. They know Louie’s story, so I’m able to say to them that it’s not bad to be full of fire—it’s what you choose to do with that fire.”
