Excerpts From Chris Rock Cover Of NewYork Magazine December Issue

The 49-year-old actor and comedian also talks about the Ferguson saga, income inequality and much more.
Read excerpts from his interview below.
On Bill Cosby: “I don’t know what to say. What do you say? I hope it’s not true. That’s all you can say. I really do. I grew up on Cosby. I love Cosby, and I just hope it’s not true. It’s a weird year for comedy. We lost Robin, we lost Joan, and we kind of lost Cosby.”
On Barack Obama: “Kind of cool. I always say, cooler than most politicians, not as cool as actual cool people. He’s not cool like Jay Z’s cool. He’s not Eddie Murphy. But in a world of politicians …”
On income inequality: “If poor people knew how rich rich people are, there would be riots in the streets. If the average person could see the Virgin Airlines first-class lounge, they’d go, “What? What? This is food, and it’s free, and they … what? Massage? Are you kidding me?”
On being black and rich: “I don’t think I’ve had any meetings with black film execs. Maybe one. It is what it is. As I told Bill Murray, Lost in Translation is a black movie: That’s what it feels like to be black and rich.”

Hollywood | Reese Witherspoon "Don’t put me in that box". I am Different!

Reese Witherspoon might be a blond Southern beauty, but she does not want to be confined by her looks.
"Don’t put me in that box. Or any box, for that matter," Witherspoon told Harper's Bazaar UK. "People are complex, on-screen and off. Can’t we do justice to that?"
The 38-year-old actress appears on the cover of the January 2015 issue of the fashion magazine.
The word "complex" comes up multiple times in her cover story interview. One of those times was while discussing role limitations for females in Hollywood and why she launched her own production company, Pacific Standard.
"It wasn’t as if there was a lack of roles being offered to me," she said. "It was the dynamic aspect of playing a really interesting, complicated person that was not readily available. Honestly, I don’t know a woman who isn’t complicated. It’s strange that you don’t see many complicated women on film; complicated meaning complex, I should say."
Witherspoon, who stars in Pacific Standard's "Wild," admits to her own complexity while discussing her 2013 disorderly conduct arrest. The actress was apprehended after arguing with an Atlanta police officer during a drunk driving stop with her husband, Jim Toth.
"[I]t was a moment where I think people sort of realized I wasn’t exactly what they thought I was ... We all like to define people by the ways the media presents them. If it shows I have a complexity that people didn’t know about, that’s part of human nature."

Ferguson: Officer Darren Wilson Opens Up "I did nothing wrong and I'd do it again"

Officer Darren Wilson says he has a clear conscience over the shooting death of Michael Brown, and would do it again if he finds himself in the same situation.
He spoke with ABC's George Stephanopoulos and said that if it'd been a white person he still would have fired his gun, that race had nothing to do with it. He said Brown had reached into his patrol car and attempted to grab his gun, and the teen had charged at him which is when he began shooting.

And she's not staying quiet about it!

Nicki Minaj's Reveals Biggest Fear On New Complex Issue
Nicki Minaj is the cover star for Complex Magazine’s December 2014/January 2015 issue and she slays in a fierce shoot done by Vijat Mohindra.
Read excerpts of her interview below.
One her new rules: One rule is “no more self-judgment.” I’m not judging myself; I’m not dissing what I do. I’m proud of what I’ve done and I’m proud of what I’m working on. I’ve accomplished something and I’m not going to be ashamed to be happy about what I’ve done. I’m talking about things that I didn’t speak about on other albums. It’s a truthful body of work. The album is me doing a press conference, addressing things and not putting too much [emphasis] on “This has to be lyrical,” to the point where I lose focus of a message. It’s important as a woman to be vulnerable and be strong at the same time. The album is a dope balance of vulnerability and strength, of inspiration and of not being politically correct. It’s the best of both worlds. It’s tapping into both sides.

On overcoming alcohol and drug addiction: “I guess my own voice – or God – spoke to me and said, ‘Haven’t you learnt anything? This is the moment where you see what you’re made of – get up.’ And I did. I got up. That was definitely the learning moment, the choice between life and death. I felt like it was over, and everybody was just running away. People I thought were friends were just dispersing. I could feel myself slipping away too. And I thought, ‘I don’t want to slip away because of alcohol and drugs and loneliness.’ I thought, ‘Don’t let people see you fold right now. You have to survive this because the world is watching.’”

Piers Morgan Loves him some Kim Kardashian

Excerpts from the article below-
On Kim being a Natural Beauty – he believed her when she told him she has never had surgery
As for her roundly condemned status as a role model, she told me with calm conviction: “I think I promote a healthy, natural body image.”
She admitted to using Botox, Spanx and the odd piece of masking tape to aid the daunting red carpet process. But she insisted she’d never had plastic surgery, and was happy and confident with how she looks.
I have studied her face close up and seen nothing to contradict this; Kim’s a natural beauty.
On The Backlash and People Who Criticise Her … Piers thinks they are hating on her success

Conrad Black to renounce Canadian citizenship

Former media baron Conrad Black says that when he renounced his Canadian citizenship to sit in the British House of Lords he was only doing so “temporarily,” and meant to re-apply until he was sidetracked by his legal troubles south of the border.
Black said Monday he was not turning his back on Canada itself when he gave up his citizenship in 2001 to become Lord Black of Crossharbour. Then-prime minister Jean Chretien had enforced an old law that said a Canadian citizen cannot become a British lord while retaining Canadian citizenship.
“I made it clear when I renounced it I was only doing it temporarily,” Black told CTV’s Canada AM while promoting his new book, “Rise to Greatness: The History of Canada from the Vikings to the Present.”
Black accused Chretien of “intervening in the affairs of another country to create a class of one person, a citizen of that country, namely myself, even though there are all sorts of dual citizens in Britain who have sat in the House of Lords and have other British honours.”

She chats with Billboard magazine and she talks about her new album, Adele, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift and being a diva.
Read excerpts from her interview below!
What was it like making this album?
I had a really good time. I love this music. I bought most of these records in the original version — I had the occasion to tell Berry Gordy that he owed me a ton of money for all the Motown records I bought! “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Midnight Train,” “Survivor” — that’s one of me and my granddaughter’s favorite songs. Victory, that’s her name. I’m coaching her; she wants to be a singer, and she’s coming along very well. She sang for me on the BET Honors. She’s more of a student right now, and she’s definitely finishing her education. But she has the voice, and she’s a very fast learner.
What did Babyface bring to this album?
Well, Babyface brings his savoir faire to every project. He’s a very easy producer to work with, very detailed in listening to everything. But we had a lot of fun, too, a lot of laughter. On “Midnight Train to Georgia,” I was doing some of the Pips moves at the microphone. We all had a lot of fun in the control room, listening to takes and talking about the tracks.
