Episcopalian seminar

Episcopalian seminar, facade. Paintings and sculpures enrich this magnificent palace, probably the richest one in the district of Veronetta.

Cute balcony

Isn't it a sweet balcony? I love every detail here, the rusty iron, the mossy stone, the simple terracotta vases, the old paint on the shutters...
Yet another hidden corner of Veronetta district!

Barbwire

Piazza Isolo, district of Veronetta. This huge sculpture titled "barbwire" is bronze fusion created by the italian sculptor Pino Castagna. The sculpture is dedicated to the veronese deportees and to the Shoah victims during WWII.

The white chair

Ponte Navi junction. What really caught my attention here is the white chair (click on the photo to enlarge it) on a tiny, tiny balcony, where a woman is sitting as if she was in the middle of the countryside, rather than at a busy traffic light in Veronetta.

Farmers' market

Every thursday morning Piazza Isolo, district of Veronetta, hosts the Farmers Market. It's small but really nice, I love to go there and chose organic seasonal fruits, vegetables and other local produce, buying directly from the farmers.
This is my basket!

Behind the green door

Veronetta district. A hidden garden guarded by two ancient statues. I stepped into the courtyard and was enchanted by this sight. A black cat came near the gate from inside the luscious garden.

Behind guardian statues;
a black cat looks me
from the past.

Green door - Theme day: CONTRASTS

A beautiful main door in Veronetta district. When I saw this beautiful old wooden door on Veronetta's "high street" my curiosity pushed me inside. I entered the hall and saw a staircase on the right leading to the flats above. Stepped slowly further ahead and found a typical couryard with a superb wrought iron gate...
