Sunset on Via Cavour
From the Palace of the Bank of Italy to the clock tower of Castelvecchio: this is only a part of Corso Cavour that stretches from Porta Borsari in a continuous line of beautiful noble palaces. Palazzo Canossa, topped with a row of statues, is probably one of the most beautiful buildings of Verona.

What were they looking at?
This is the view that the couple in my previous post were looking at (Leif Hagen asked and here it is for you to see!)
Some of you pointed out that the "image" that most people have of Italy is definitely without snow and I can understand it, since Italy is always associated with sunlit views. I am therefore particularly glad to show you something different!
The snowfall went on for many hours and yesterday morning there were at least 15 cm of snow!
I had a long walk and took some nice shots, while yesterday I barely took any, so I won't be able to show you the "big" snow (some of you will laugh at it, I know...).
Now, please, forgive me if I post a second pic. I just want to show you what those lovers saw on
the opposite side of the bridge, during their romantic stroll through the snowflakes...

Art on the Adige
A morning in January. Sculpture by Virginio Ferrari. A Veronese artist, he has been living in Chicago from the late sixties. His works can be seen in many public places in Chicago. Virginio and his family spend several months here, in their country home. We used to be neighbours.
I really love his works, one of my favourites is called Being Born

A quick lunch with Audrey
This is another café where I often sip my mid morning coffee (you must have worked out that this is part of my daily routine...), just a few steps from Piazza Bra.
Somebody here had just eaten a small lunch watching Castelvecchio (not visible here) and a selection of photos of Audrey Hepburn on the screen.
Uhm, not a bad location for a nice quick meal...
Today we'll be off to Tuscany, back home in Argentario. I have programmed some posts to appear in the next few days as I hardly will be on line. I'll be back by thurdsday. Bye!
