Castelvecchio Museum
The Castelvecchio Museum is located in the eponymus castle, built between XIV and XIV century. I have posted about the attached "Ponte" quite a few times, see here.
The museum was restored by Carlo Scarpa, one of the leading italian architects of the XX century. Between 1959 and 1973 Scarpa, with his unique architectural style, enhanced both the appearance of the building and the exhibits.
One of the main museums in town, it displays a wide collection of statues, sculptures, objects.
Paintings include masterpieces of Mantegna, Bellini, Pisanello.

Archeological Museum at the Roman Theatre #2
I took many photos at the Archeological Museum. I don't mean to bore you lingering on the same subject for days...but there are a few pics I am sure you will appreciate.
This is one of them, the Emperor's statue: I think it is simply magnificent...

Giardino Giusti
A couple of weeks ago we visited and enchanting place, here in the heart of town: Giardino Giusti.
Let me pick up some notes from the leaftlet.
These magnificent gardens was created in the 15th century and today it shows the structure given in 1570 by Agostino Giusti, Knight of the Venetian Republic and Squire of the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The gardens are the backdrops of the beautiful palace and they are terraced in order to gradually uncover the view of the city.
Fountains, Roman statues, acoustic grottos, Italian hedges can be admired here, as well as one of the oldest labyrinths in Europe!
The gardens were visited, throughout the centuries, by illustrius historical figures, such as Cosimo De' Medici, De Brosses, Addison, the Emperor Joseph II, Mozart, Suares and Gabriel Faure.
We spent a lovely sunny sunday morning here, we were the only visitors! We really enjoyed playing in the labyrinth with our little daughter... for her it was like a fantastic adventure...
