9th of April, 30°C

Abnormal warm temperature in Verona at the beginning of april. The evening of the 9th was remarkably hot and the atmosphere in the city centre was unforgettable. Lots of people hangin out of bars and restaurants, crowded wine bars (Vinitaly fair was on so thousands of people came over from all over the world). I couldn't resist the Fiat 500 Giardinetta parked on the cobblestones...

Sultry evening

It's been quite hot lately but yesterday and today it got really really sultry, almost suffocating. I took a walk with my daughter in the evening but the usual freshness that comes with the dark hour, failed to arrive. This is Piazza Erbe, cafés packed with people. Appealing book stall

I don't know how the old man is called and how long he's been there. I know that I've always seen him standing there with another guy, apparently his son, selling discounted books, just off busy Via Mazzini and a few steps away from Piazza Erbe.
I never stopped but this photo makes the stall so inviting: I will soon go to browse among those piles!
