Make a Wish...

Hey & Happy Sunday!

I do hope you are all having a lovely weekend and have found some time to craft. I had a little bit of unexpected 'bean free' time yesterday afternoon, so I took advantage and after a little power nap (it has to be done) I set to making a card just for fun.

I came across THIS card on Pinterest by Maile Belles. I love the layout of the card, the stamped roses from behind the angled panel. It reminded me of the rose image from Flower Power #6

I saw the new challenge over at "Less is More" HERE too, which this week is a colour week and they have chosen ombre. I was looking through my supplies and decided I would give my Copic markers a dust off to create my ombre background.

I chose a trio of pinks, RV10, RV13 and RV14. I used the chisel edge of the pen and worked from light to dark and then back to the lightest. It was a reasonably quick process. The roses are stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detail white EP. The mini rose and leaves are from Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment from Pure Florals: Cosmos. The complete supplies can be found at the end of the post.

Did you see the return of a past feature HERE on the blog yesterday? Design Team Inspiration is back and Rahmat started things off again for us. Other members of the Design Team will be popping in through the month with various projects to inspire you too. I hope you are pleased to see the return of this feature! I have plans to reintroduce others from way back yonder too ;)

Ok, that is all from me today. I hope to find some crafty time tonight to unwind as I am on my own with the beans today as daddy is doing some extra work to pay for Christmas! Lol!

Thanks for stopping by.

Geometric CAS Style!

Hey & Happy Monday!

I do hope your week has got off to a good start :) There is a chill in the air here in the NE of the UK but the sun is out, so that helps.

The beans are super tired today, I think they are still adjusting to the change in the clocks with them going back an hour at the weekend. Which means I had a little extra creative time in the studio today - YAY!

Today I have shared a card HERE using this weeks Stamp Of The Week which has some geometric elements and really wanted to create a card using the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below with some more geometric elements suitable for the current Uniko Challenge HERE.

This is what I came up with...

I started out by die cutting the Mama Elephant 'hello' from the white CS at an angle. I then used temporary adhesive to adhere it to my work space with the 'hello' straight. This made it easier for me to stamped the lines with squares straight, following the sketch.

After adhering it to my SU! Smokey Slate card base using foam adhesive I added a few square rhinestones to finish the card off. I loved the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below, so decided to use them again for my card.

I think that cue words such as geometrics can be daunting, but when you use them as accents to a focal image & think outside of the box they are really quite fun! I have used them to accent the 'hello' die cut with the simple stamping and with the rhinestones. An super CAS card in under 10 minutes!

Ok, that's all from me today, mummy duties are required! I'll be back again this week with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today & hope to see you joining in on the Uniko Challenge :)

Christmas Blessings

Hey!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends & those who celebrate, I'm wishing you a blessed family & friend filled day whatever you may be doing.

Today I have a Christmas Blessings card which is glittery & oh SO very pink!

I saw the new Freshly Made Sketch HERE and seen below yesterday and saw the sketch had snowflakes on it and knew I had to join in! I know the snowflakes don't have to be snowflakes but I just can't resist!

I like pink in small doses and I think I went a little overboard with the glitter on this one too, think I will be sparkling from now until this time next year here in the studio with all the glitter I've been using!

That's all from me today I hope you all have a lovely day. I will be back tomorrow with more to share, until then THANK YOU for stopping by :)

Sending Hugs

Hey!

I'm back with another scheduled post and another floral card to share with you...

I started out by masking off a small section on a white mat layer and stamped some chevrons in black ink. I then stamped the blooms and leaves from Beautiful Blooms onto white CS and fussy cut them out. Before I adhered them permanently I positioned them with temporary adhesive so that I could make sure there was enough room & position the sentiment from Flower Power #1.

That's all from me today, be sure to pop back tomorrow as we have the September Design Team Blog Hop. We will be revisiting not one but THREE stamp sets and as tradition holds they will be up for grabs just by commenting along the hop!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Paper Crafting Crush!

Hey!

Happy Weekend :)

On Thursday I came across THIS blog post by Taheerah, which is all about her paper crafting crush. It all began over on Clean & Simple but I'm a little late to that party! However, it got me to thinking who my paper crafting crush is, this didn't take me long.

I can't remember exactly when my paper crafting crush began with this person but her Clean & Simple style & general paper crafting 'WOWness' has captured my attention for many years. Can you guess who my crush is...?

No? Maybe these projects below will give you a hint...

Yep, it's the FABulously talented Maile Belles!

I am often inspired by Maile's card layouts, colour combos and general paper crafting style & today's card was inspired by this card that I spotted on Pinterest yesterday...

I kept the colour scheme & general layout the same but used a Uniko Studio Decorative Doily & decided to keep it sentiment free...

I'm not a lover of gold embossing but it's good to step outside the comfort zone now & again. I'm liking  the gold with light pink & wouldn't have given it a go if I hadn't been inspired by Maile.

Who is your paper crafting crush? I'd love to know.

That's all from me today, I hope you all have a super weekend & find plenty of paper crafting time!

2 Little Words...

Hey!

Happy Friday to you all.

I'm back today to share a couple of cards that have 2 little words on them ... Thank You. When I was little my Mum used to make me & my brother write Thank You letters to everyone who sent us a Birthday or Christmas present & also if we ever got money of our Nana or Great Aunts. We used to think it such a chore to write them, but now I love making, writing & sending Thank You cards!

So I made a couple using the NEW Pure Florals: Gerbera clear stamp set ...

This first card was SO quick & easy to make you could soon whip up a batch of these. I used some Making Memories Ledger DP and simply stamped the Gerbera outline & sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I matted the ledger panel with some white CS before adhering the panel to the card base using foam adhesive.

For this next card I used one of the solid Gerberas and the largest solid leaf. For the flower I used the Rock 'N' Roll technique using Autumn Rose & Raspberry Fizz ink from PTI. The leaves are just one solid green colour & I can't remember what colour I used!

The card started out with a white CS base & then I cut a panel of Autumn Rose CS 1.5 cm smaller than the white card base front. I then trimmed the panel so I had a large top piece and small bottom piece. After adhering the panels to the card base I stamped the sentiment & layered the leaves & flower using foam adhesive to adhere the flower.

These two cards fit perfectly into the Moxie FAB World Thank You card challenge HERE. Thats all from me today, THANK YOU for stopping by.

Casual & Pink

Good Monday Morning!

Here we are in the last week of June & closer to the NEXT Uniko Studio release! Yep, mid next week we will see the start of the Sneak Peeks at what will be released on July 11th, not long to wait!

Anyway, until then I have a card to share. For this card I used the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge this week is to use PINK.

Here is my card ...

I chose to use a BRIGHT pink. Raspberry Fizz from PTI. I kept my card really simple & with no sentiment so it can be used for any occasion that may arise. I used the medium & small graphic flowers from TIME

Short & sweet from me today, much to be done! Thanks for stopping by today.

Pink!

Hello!

Today I have a pink number to share with you all. I thought it would break the manly theme thats been on the blog the last few days!

For this card I used the solid butterfly brush from Joyful Butterfly and printed it onto pink CS. I then added some Hero Arts Prisma glitter to it to make it sparkle. I then stamped one of the Lattice designs from Background Builders Lattice and coloured it with a Copic trio of pinks. The 'Happy' and the 'Birthday' is from FONTiments - Birthday. The flourishes are from FONTiment Fancies - Swirls & Flourishes

A lovely girly CAS card! Thats all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

A bit of Mixing & Matching ...

Hey All!

Hope your all having a good week? It's back to work for me after a few days relaxing, lots to get done! Anyway, before I get started I have another card to share using Background Builders Lattice & this time I paired it with the medium & small graphic flowers from Time.

I enjoyed the retrosketch so much this week & as I was making yesterday's card had this card idea in my head ...

I started off by stamping one of the Lattice strips in SU! Basic Grey and matted this to a PTI Autumn Rose card base. I then stamped the flowers in matching ink, cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I used some dew drop bling for the centre of the flowers & doted a few about too for extra measure!

That's all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with another card or two to share with you all. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friends!

Hello Friends!

Well, I'm not a 100% but I finally made it into the Studio this afternoon to finish a card I had started before I was ill! It was nice to get back in there but I sure am tired now!

Anyway, I will stop rambling on & show you it ...

It's a super simple card & I have used only the Time stamp set. I had to try out the flowers like Kerry had in this card HERE. I simply stamped the large graphic flower in Raspberry Fizz onto Sweet Blush CS and cut the pointed flower shape out. I then did the same with the medium flower but stamped it with Raspberry Fizz onto Hibiscus Burst CS and cut the pointed flower out. They are adhered together with a foam pad in-between.

The tag is die cut from Kraft CS and mounted on foam pads onto the CS base. I stamped the sentiment along the side of the tag on the base card using Raspberry Fizz it keeps the LO streamlined and is a little quirky than just stamping it horizontally!

I used some foam pads to adhere the flowers to the tag and some gems for the centres and a little bit of Raspberry Fizz satin ribbon to finish it all off. Even though I used foam pads to adhere the embellishments it's not too bulky as they were not thick foam pads so it's fairly mail friendly!

I'm off to do a lil bit more stamp designing before I rest up for the evening!
Thanks for stopping by today!
