Click...Click...Click!!

Hey & Happy Friday!

Wow, I really can't believe it's Friday already, time is seriously flying by here at Uniko Studio HQ! I found a little time to create yesterday and remembered the challenge over at Moxie FAB World HERE all to do with the camera trend - perfect for inking up the newly released Strike a Pose!

I also used the current Freshly Made Sketches layout HERE and seen below for my card as those horizontal banners were just perfect to replicate onto my card stamping the little filmstrip sentiments!

Instead of a rectangle, which would have covered up all of the sentiment strips I decided to stamp & emboss the larger filmstrips. One straight & one on an angle and simply fussy cut round them. They are adhered to the card using foam adhesive and then a lime green camera with a pink heart & embossed sparkle finished the focal element of the card off!

Ok, that's all I have for today, it's back to business now here in the studio! I'll be back tomorrow though with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Edited to add - I'm also entering this into a new to me challenge called Cardz4Guyz seen HERE.

A Moxie FAB Thank You!

Hey!

I'm a little later than usual with my post today, sorry for that & those who have been wondering where I am.

I have a wintery thank you card to share for you which I have made for Cath over on Moxie FAB World HERE.

You may or may not be aware of the sad news the crafting community received the other day regarding Cath leaving Moxie Fab World & Paper Crafts, you can read all about the changes HERE

It's been a while since I participated in a challenge or joined in with the fun over on Moxie FAB World, but I still pop by the blog to see what's going on. When I have joined in Cath has ALWAYS popped by my blog to say thank you which makes you feel special and appreciated.

So, I wanted to return the gratitude and say THANK YOU to Cath for the years of inspiration, fun  & wealth of knowledge she has shared with us all around the world in this crafting community. You will be greatly missed by many including myself.

I've used a few Uniko Studio clear stamps & the snowflake dies on my card today, all the products are listed below. I'm pleased with how this has turned out and I'm thinking how a simple sentiment change to that of Christmas & I've another Christmas card design to add to the collection!

That's all from me today, I will be back tomorrow at my usual time with more to share. Thank you for stopping by :)

Positive Emphasis on the Negative!

WOW, Wednesday already!

This week is flying by for me, I've been designing new products, prepping for the April Release, prepping for the demo & class on Saturday, I've been to visit NEST a gallery in Barnard Castle, who now stock some Uniko Studio product & tomorrow I'm going back to CCAD the college I graduated from to do a little talk on what I've been up to since graduating! It's all good fun but I need TIME to slow down a little so I can do more!! Haha!!

Anyway, I'm back today with possibly an even more obvious peek at the NEW product in use which is being released in April HERE at Uniko Studio. As I said yesterday I couldn't wait to use them and can't stop! Haha!

You've got to LOVE a bit of negative die cutting & with this little butterfly it was a perfect way to use up some scraps of patterned paper from the Uniko Studio Joyful Butterfly Digital Patterned Paper Collection available HERE.

I used a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday, stamping it in a lovely orange, a few pearls addd and I was done!

Moxie FAB World have a few challenges on at the moment, one of them being all about negative die cutting which you can check out HERE. Also because I've used butterflies again, this card is perfect for the Addicted to CAS challenge HERE which is to use wings!

That's all I have to share with you today, I'll be back again tomorrow with another card or two! Thanks for stopping by & for commenting, it's truly appreciated.

Hugs

Ombre Lattice

Hey!

WOW! What a fabulous Design Team blog hop yesterday, so many FABulous projects using the Background Builders: Lattice stamp, I really enjoyed it! Did you? If you missed the fun yesterday there is still time to join in on the fun HERE and win yourself the prize.

So for the month of March leading up to the next release here at Uniko Studio I gave the DT the task of revisiting the Background Builders: Lattice stamp so you'll be seeing this set popping up on projects throughout the month.

Today's card is one of those projects I've used it on...

Still keeping those green ink pads well & truly dusted off I decided to have a go at the Ombre trend that is still going strong. I started out by stamping the darkest green at the bottom of my card & working my way up to the lightest.

I even tried to achieve the ombre effect on the label...

I did this by inking the label stamp first with the lightest ink then the middle green moving the ink pad lower down the stamp and then with the darkest green just touching the lower edge of the stamp. I'm pleased how it turned out.

The perfect ombre green birthday card for a St Patricks Day baby! Moxie FAB World have an Ombre challenge HERE on their blog and The Pink Elephant HERE have a 'Green' challenge, so my card fits perfectly into both of those challenges!

Two challenges defo worth having a go at! Don't forget to join in on the Uniko Studio March DT Blog Hop HERE & be in the chance of winning the set, all you have to do is comment along the way!

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

Silver Snowflakes

Hey!

I'm back today with a couple of Christmas cards to share with you...

I really enjoyed making these Doily Snowflake cards HERE and the colour scheme I used, so I couldn't resist using the colour scheme again. I used iSpy Sketches current challenge HERE, which is to use one of their past sketches as the LO of my card. I chose a sketch from July and you can see it HERE and below...

Here is a close up of the silver & white snowflake detail...

This was such a super simple card to make & it would be easy to whip up a batch of these in no time at all using an array of colours. Instead of doing that though I went ahead and made another card with nearly all the same supplies and made this card...

For this card I just change the Wonderful Washi stamp from the Polka Dot one to the leaf diamond pattern one, chose a different sentiment and changed the LO slightly. Another CAS card that can be mass produced if needed!

For both of the cards I used Uniko Studio Wonderful Washi stamps and heat embossed them in silver & star dust EP. Both the sentiments are from Papertrey Ink and the Snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch.

I'm entering both these cards into the current 'Less Is More' challenge HERE which is to use Silver and also the Moxie FAB World WCMD Christmas Challenge HERE

That's all from me today, but I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share. Thanks for stopping by.

Addicted to mini cards!

Hey!

I'm back today with two mini cards to share with you, these mini cards are a cute 11 x 11 cm square. They might be mini cards but this is a not so mini blog post!

With the foggy cold mornings starting to appear Autumn is really upon us and as I gaze out of the Studio window as the Autumn sunlight breaks through the clouds it really shows up the warm colours of the leaves on the trees.

Such a beautiful sight, so, when I saw the current DYSU challenge seen HERE and below my card I knew I wanted to make a card & this is what I came up with...

I started out by choosing 3 SU! colours, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red & Summer Sun. I then used the smaller outline leaf from Pure Florals: Gerbera & stamped it in each of the 3 colours. After fussy cutting them out I adhered them to the lower right corner of a piece of Kraft CS and secure with a twine tied button. The 'Thanks' sentiment is from Label Love: Thank you.

Here is a close up of the detail...

I am also entering this card into the Moxie FAB World WCMD Thank you Challenge HERE

I've got a second card to share with you today...

Whilst sorting my desk out I came across this BOO! label I had printed but not used from the Super FREE Saturday BOO! collection available for download HERE. I decided to use the current Play Date Cafe Challenge colours seen HERE and below which are just perfect for a Halloween card!

I paired the label with some die cut banners which I stamped with 2 designs from Wonderful Washi. This shows how even more versatile the stamps from Wonderful Washi are! Below is a close up of the detail...

You can just about see in the photo above the Silver Stickles glitter glue that I added to the arch of stars. This card also fits perfectly into the current Addicted to Stamps Challenge HERE which is Addicted to Halloween. I'm more addicted to Halloween this year than ever before & I'm looking forward to the night itself to all the cute lil kids dressed up Trick or Treating!

Well, it's been a treat for you today as I've had two cards to share and it's been a while since I've been this creative in one day!! Lets hope the trend continues.

Thank you for stopping by & as always your comments are truly appreciated.

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hey!

Happy World Card Making Day! It seemed appropriate that after quite a few days without a post I should definitely set aside a few minutes & space amongst The Studio chaos to make a card. So I did just that this evening and this is what I made...

I have had Wonderful Washi withdrawal symptoms so had to ink it up again! I used the current ColourQ Challenge colours seen HERE and below on my card.

Such a classic colour combo I just had to play along! Below are a couple of close up shots of the detail and sentiment...

I am also going to enter this card into the Moxie FAB World WCMD Birthday Challenge HERE. Nothing like a card making celebration to get you back in the groove! I'm looking forward to making a few more cards tomorrow for the other categories and other challenges around blogland, so the blog will be back to normal before you know it!

I hope you've all had a good WCMD & found time to make a card or two! Thanks for stopping by today.

Lattice Love

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Have you any inky plans this weekend? I hope to get a little inky and spend some time in the studio making a few NEW projects.

I'm back today however with the next instalment in the previously released product focus and my focus today is Background Builders Lattice...

This is a FAB building set which uses the trendy lattice/quatrefoil image - yum! So how about a few NEW projects using this set...

Keeping it Clean & Simple for this minty fresh beauty for the Moxie FAB World Minty Fresh Challenge HERE and also the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge HERE

I started out by masking off 2cm at the top and bottom of the card base I stamped one of the Background Builder Lattice stamps in Fresh Snow ink. I then took a piece of white card stock stamped and embossed another of the Lattice designs using fine detail white embossing powder. I then used one Distress Marker colour to create a monochrome ombre effect on the 2 layer butterfly.

Here's a close up ...

Background Builders Lattice also has a digital downloadable paper collection called Modern Lattice available HERE and seen below...

I had to use my FAVE paper from this collection for my next card, the tiny floral paper and kept it CAS to keep in line with the Addicted To Stamps CAS Challenge...

I selected some Soft Stone card stock to use as a mat for the patterned paper before adhering it to the white card base. I left a gap to break up the patterned paper collection and to create space for a sentiment from Time. The die cut flower is a Memory Box die and die cut from card stock which coordinates with the collection.

Now you've seen some NEW projects using this set & digital paper collection how about some oldies but goodies...

As you can see from this card the lattice pairs superbly with the graphic flowers from Time! This next card uses one of the single stamps contained in the set and uses paper piecing one of my FAVE techniques with these smaller stamps...

This card uses one of the patterned papers contained in the Modern Lattice digital paper collection along with the butterfly from English Country Garden digital stamp set and a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday.

That's all for today using Background Builders Lattice and Modern Lattice digital paper collection. I hope you've enjoyed todays post?! I'll be back again tomorrow with another product focus or two. Thanks for stopping by.

The Hands of Time

TGIF!

Oh Friday, how I love thee! I'm one day closer to the weekend, release day & my much needed vacation! Anyway, I'm back today continuing the theme of focusing on previously released stamp sets & products available from Uniko Studio for a little refresher for existing & NEW followers!

Today, I decided to use Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time. This set was designed along with Time and Extra Time but I kept it back for a later release. The doilies are created from clock hands which I seem to have a real fascination for!

This is not your normal looking doily set, while it does have a couple of linear stamps which have a lot of detail it has the solid bold stamps too. Perfect for CAS card makers & layerlicious distress card makers & also scrapbookers alike!

This first card uses one of the linear stamps contained in the set. I decided to use the current Freshly Made Sketch for my card layout seen HERE and below and also the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I stamped the doilies so that there would be enough to add some colour but enough to keep plenty of white space. I used Copic markers to colour the doilies in and added a few rhinestones for a touch of bling!

So after this card I was on a roll and made this one for the current Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh Challenge HERE.

A super simple card layout with a white heat embossed doily stamped over a mat layer adhered with foam adhesive. This took only minutes to make and I can see a nice gift set collection in an array of pastel shades happening to sell at Designers Marketplace in December!

Like the Time & Extra Time sets Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time have a digital patterned paper collection available from the website HERE and seen below...

I used a selection of the papers contained to make this card...

I trimmed & created simple banners/ribbons using 3 papers and cut out 2 doily flowers from one of the papers. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. I stamped a couple of the smaller doilies from the stamp set in SU! colours contained in the collection...

So, how about a few projects from when these products were released...

This first photo is a close up of a card using the same stamp & process of Copic colouring asin the first card I shared today. I just love the colours so had to share!

This one uses a bit of Rock 'n' Roll, in a lovely summery colour combo to spread a bit of cheer! My last card today uses the digital paper collection...

I hope you've enjoyed todays product focus?! I'll be back tomorrow for the next instalment! Thanks for stopping by.
