Card Mixtures!

Helloooo!

Yes, I am still alive! A few days off to celebrate The Queens Diamond Jubilee ended up being over a week off!! I have to say the rest has done me some good and I have enjoyed both family time & alone time to kick start my creative mojo!

Anyway, enough of the chit chat & how about a few card shares?! I have a mixed bag of styles & colours to share with you today ...

This first card was made whilst in a Patriotic mood! I had been to The Paperlane and treated myself to a few new Memory Box dies. The Simple Banner die was one of them! The Classics digital download papers fit perfectly into The Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations so I used the banner die to cut 3 of the paper designs contained in the collection. I paired it with a 'Celebrate' sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday stamped in Pacific Point from SU! Though the card has a Jubilee/Patriotic feel & colour scheme it can be used for many occasion.

This next card uses another new Memory Box die ...

When I saw this Bubble Daisy Border die I instantly thought of the ditsy floral papers contained in the Joyful Butterfly digital download. This card was super quick & simple & is in a very girly colour scheme! I die cut the border from the paper and adhered it to the card using my quickie glue pen. I added a few pearls to the flower centres.

I then die cut a butterfly from So Saffron CS using PTIs Butterfly Dreams die. I then used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the smaller butterfly. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. Here is a close up photo ...

This next card is the last of the cards for today ...

Doilies & Bling!! I used Stampin' Up! In Colour combo for this card with Calypso Coral taking the focus. I used 3 solid doilies from Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time and a sentiment from Extra Time.

The ideas are now buzzing around head so I best get to work and put them to paper! Thanks for stopping by today!

On Q with the Colour!

Happy Thursday!

I'm back today to share a card using this weeks ColourQ colours! I couldn't resist these Spring colours! It made me HAPPY considering the weather is more like Winter than Spring here!

Here's how I used the colours ...

As soon as I saw the colour combo I knew what I wanted to do! I'd popped over to The Paperlane on Tuesday and bought the leaf die which is a Poppystamps/Memory Box die.

So, I die cut the leaves from Pear Pizzaz then stamped all 3 graphic flowers onto Blushing Bride, Peach Parfait & So Saffron CS using Versamark & heat embossed them with Crystal EP. A simple brad holds them together & the flower is adhered to the care using foam pads.

The picture above shows how sparkly the Crystal EP is & also the texture of the white CS which has a linen texture. I also bought this from The Paperlane when I popped over the other day!

Thats all I have to share today, be sure to stop on by tomorrow!

Birthday Ensemble!

Hello There!

Well, it's a soggy Tuesday here in the North East of the UK, but I'm back today with another Spring coloured project to share.

Now I have created this project as it's 'A DAY TO CELEBRATE' it's The Paperlane's 2nd Birthday! The Paperlane is my local craft shop & I have spent many hours in there adding to my stash! LOL!

So, to celebrate the stores 2nd Birthday there is a Birthday Celebration Challenge over on The Paperlane blog HERE. The challenge is to either incorporate 2 sentiments onto your project or a cake with 2 candles. There is a FAB prize up for grabs a £15 gift certificate to spend! As I am part of the DT it's a shame I can't enter as I'd have that spent in no TIME!!

There are a few ways you can join in the challenge, first by popping over and linking up on the blog, email your entry to Caz at The Paperlane or pop in store with your creation!

I thought that the TIME set from Uniko Studio was rather fitting for the Birthday Celebration! Below is a close up of the card I made ...

As you can see I used the 2 sentiment rule of the challenge on my card. I used some lovely Spring colours suitable for a Spring Birthday! Pool Party & Calypso Coral! I Simply stamped the clock face alternating the colours & then repeated the process on another piece of CS and fussy cut out the inner part of the floral element! Then adhered them to the card using foam pads for a bit of dimension. A few rhinestones & I was done!

I couldn't stop there though I had to go on and make a matching Tag & Gift Box!

For the box I used a Sizzix XL die to cut it out & stamped the graphic flowers randomly in the 2 colours before adhering together. The focal point for both the Tag & Box are created by using the largest graphic flower from the TIME set and one of the clock faces from the set. I fussy cut the centre flower just as I did for the card. The 2 scrolls are a Memory Box die 'Scrollwork' and add the perfect frilly touch! Some bling added here & there finishes off for good measure!

Why not pop on over to The Paperlane Blog HERE and see what the other DT members have created for the challenge and join in on the fun!

Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share! I'm finding it hard to contain my excitement as it's less than 12 days now till the next Uniko Studio release celebrations! WHOOP!!

Hugs!

Wait a MINUTE!

Whoohooo! It's Wednesday, that means were halfway & closer to the weekend!! Today I am taking a little trip out for the day to Leeds for a spot of shopping & research whilst my other half takes an exam!!

Before I go out though I thought I'd share a card I have made using some new crafting goodies I bought at the weekend ...

For this card I used another Retro Sketch for my card LO, you can see this weeks sketch HERE & below.

I started by stamping the cog image all over my card base using some yummy Versamark Dazzle Frost ink. It has a lovely frosty shimmer & is a NEW ink to my collection! I then used the PTI's Wine Bottle die to cut a piece of white card stock that I had pre-stamped with the cog image in white pigment ink.

I then over stamped the 3 circles from the 'Time' stamp set & you get this cool velvet type effect. I followed a technique I had seen HERE over on Hero Arts. I used some NEW to me ink pads for the circles which is Ranger Archival Ink in Aquamarine (available to buy at The Stamp Attic) and Watermelon to stamp the clock face.

I am addicted to making lovely rosettes out of all kinds of patterned paper using my new Memory Box Rosette die! On this card I used a scrap of PTI's distressed dots paper. A simple button finishes it off!

In the photo below you can see the shimmer of the Versamark Dazzle Frost & the velvet technique along with the dimension of the rosette.

Ok, so thats all from me today but I will be back again tomorrow with another project!!

Just if you were wondering both the TIME & EXTRA TIME stamp sets are back in stock on the website HERE!!

Thanks for stopping by!
