Brand Ambassador Inspiration: Stencil Christmas Cards

  Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday!

Vinita here with some Christmas in July inspiration cards. I have fun making samples with MOD Background Builder Circles. I really like how they turned out!

Card 1

I created a stencilled panel in the festive Christmas colors using Distress inks lumberjack plaid and cracked pistachio by masking the stencil.

I added the panel to a red color card stock and adhered that panel to my white card base. The sentiment is from the Most Wonderful stamp set. The addition of red pearls enhances the beauty of this card, isn't it!

Card 2

I came up with an idea for a type of pinwheel flower using it somewhere. How would it work initially? The end result is here.

What do you think? Pretty funky Christmas card in rainbow colors! The colors of the pinwheel flowers and the background is created using the Distress inks pine needles, mowed lawn, crackling campfire, carved pumpkin, uncharted mariner, chipped sapphire, picked raspberry, and wilted violet.

The sentiment is from the Season of the Beauty stamp set. The colored rhinestones are added to the center of the flowers.

Go and make some funky pinwheel flowers for yourself. The MOD background Builder Circles is such a fun and versatile stencil, you definitely go for it!

Thanks for visiting today!

Happy crafting!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas in July

Good morning,

As it’s July, I’ve chosen to go with the Christmas in July theme for my Uniko Brand Ambassador inspiration. Uniko has lots of wonderful Christmas stamps and stencils (matching die sets available too!).

For my cards I have focussed on the Uniko Let It Snow stencil.

For my first card I have used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white embossing powder, directly onto the Kraft card base. I then die cut a smaller rectangular piece of white card and used the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set to cut the word snow towards the bottom of the panel. I used a separate piece of white card to stamp and heat emboss the snowflakes and 'let it' sentiment all from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

For this card, I started with a panel of white card and used glitter paste to create a fabulous background (so sparkly!). On a smaller piece of white card I heat embossed the sentiment and snow swirls from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

My final card uses a 'smooshed' background created using Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress Oxide inks. Once dry I used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white. On a spare piece of smooshed card I die cut the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set and white heat embossed the smallest snowflakes from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set. I die cut the inner word from white card two more times and adhered them behind the smooshed one to create dimension. I adhered this to the outer word die cut from white pearl card, before adhering directly to the card front. Finally I added the rest of the sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold stamp set, stamping this in Pickled Raspberry ink.

Which one catches your eye?

Much love

Stencil Sunday - Flower Power #1 Festive Style!

Happy Sunday!

It's been a while since I did a Stencil Sunday post and I've been meaning to ink up the Stencil - Flower Power #1 for a while, so that's just what I did. And of course, I made it festive.

I usually go for a white background, but decided to 'soften' the look of this card with a Kraft card base instead. For the inking of the stencil I used Poppy, Cranberry and Mushroom and the sentiment is stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed in white.

For the centre of my modern poinsettia flower I used a trio of larger dots from an upcoming clear stamp set and I finished off my card with Black Gloss Nuvo Drops.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Festive Floral Friday - Modern Poinsettia Wreath

Hello & Happy Friday.

It's the first day of the school holidays and it is pretty much a washout! The Beans have been quite happy playing gadgets and generally enjoying some downtime. So I have taken the opportunity to be in the studio and getting creative. I've all the upcoming release on my desk, so there is a bit of creative chaos happening.

Anyway, I've been wanting to create another modern poinsettia card for a while and as my wreath builder stencil was out in my MISTI, I got to stamping one using the solid flower from Flower Power #1.

Once I stamped all the flowers, alternating between Poppy and Cranberry inks from Concord & 9th, I added a trio of dots using a little cluster from Originally Organic Additions. The filled the centre of the dots using a black fine liner. Lastly, you know I love a bit of fussy cutting, so cut the wreath out!

With all these new goodies in reach, I couldn't resist adding a sentiment and bow embellishment from one of the stamp sets. It was a perfect match made in heaven 😉

It's almost time for swimming lessons and if this rain continues at this rate, we will be swimming to the swimming lessons!

Christmas in July - Wintery Wednesday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm continuing with Christmas in July and today I have a colourful winter card to share with you. Stunning Snowflakes still to this day remains a firm favourite of mine, even after 10 years. This is another Uniko clear stamp set that remains timeless and ever popular. Though it is a clear stamp set I feel I have neglected, so it was time to give it some fresh inky love!

And because I couldn't decide on a colour, I opted for rainbow! Not quite the full rainbow, but some cheerful colour choices. The day started off sunny here in the North East, but it is now back to raining and quite a dark afternoon. So this certainly adds some colourful cheer.

Only one more day before school is out for summer, so I am making the most of my 'quiet' time in the studio! Lots of festive creativity in progress and I am getting so excited to share the NEW release with you, luckily not long to wait!

Merry Monday - Winter Foliage

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I was inspired to create a card using the Stencil - Winter Foliage paired with some of the Winter Foliage clear stamps.

I started with the stencil and used a small blending brush from Waffle Flower (shader 0) to colour each of the different elements in the stencil design. I then cleaned my stencil and placed it back over, using Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste to add the beautiful sparkle.

I then embellished the card with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas and the holly leaf & berry cluster from Winter Foliage, using the coordinating Designer Dies Winter Foliage to cut them out. Both the sentiment and holly cluster are adhered to the card using foam tape.

That's all from me today, it's back to sorting stock from being in Doncaster on Saturday and preparing lovely samples for the up coming release 😊 Plus all the things I feel I *need* to get done before school is out for summer after Thursday!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas in July!

  Hello everyone!

Happy Saturday!

Vinita here presenting two inspiration cards using the same stamp set for Christmas in July celebration! Love the Season of Beauty clear stamp set from Uniko so much with so many variations and detailed stamp set it is!!!

Card 1

Sometimes I really love the card with lots of white space!

I started by stamping the outlined poinsettia flowers and heat embossed them using Primary ebony regular Wow EP.

Stamped solid flower image inside using crackling campfire DI and added some splatters here and there using fired brick DI.

Can you see the shine of the black EP! Finished it off with a sentiment using the same stamp set!

Card 2

I love experiments and came up with this art print idea using the same stamp set with stripes!

On a piece of white CS, I stamped the Horizontal stripes to create the background using cracked pistachio DI.

Stamped some solid big poinsettia flowers randomly using abandoned coral DI

And then small poinsettia filler flowers on the same flower designs using crackling campfire DI.

Now stamped the outlined flower image overlapping with stamped images and heat embossed using opaque bright white EP. Added the dots in the flower centre using fired brick DI. Before adhering this focal panel to my card base added a red CS layer with an embossed sentiment.

Hope you like the artistic look of the repeated pattern and are inspired to create yours!
Happy crafting!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hello July!

Hello July and welcome to...

This month myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors will be getting into the Christmas spirit and sharing inspiration using Uniko's current Christmas products in preparation for a NEW release, with countdown to release celebrations and inspiration starting 31st July. New products will be available Sunday 6th August.

Don't worry, if you're not quite ready for getting in the Christmas spirit, we will still be sharing other inspiration too!

However, I'm kicking things off with a couple of cards using Framed - Holly as the main feature of may cards.

As you can see, I am still on this vellum technique. It's fun trying out different stamps with this technique and this framed was calling for it.

I've stamped the frame in VersaMark and heat embossed in white. I then used just a trio of Stampin' Up! Stampin' Blends to colour on the reverse. I then adhered this to my card base using a fine tip glue and embellished the card with a sentiment from Christmas Wishes and a cluster of Winter Foliage. I finished off with a few red Nuvo drops.

The creative inspiration was flowing, so I went on to make a second card using Framed - Holly.

This time I decided to stamp the frame in black ink and colouring with the same trio of markers. I then added the same sentiment stamped and embossed in gold.

I decided the card needed a bit of dimension. So I stamped the image again and selectively coloured a few of the holly leaves, before fussy cutting them out and adhering them using foam tape. This creates a subtle raised spotlighting effect.

I trimmed the frame and adhered it with double sided tape to a piece of Concord & 9th Poppy card before adhering to my card base using foam tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by.

Stencil Sunday - Christmas in July!

Hello July & Happy Sunday.

It's become a trend within the paper crafting industry to celebrate Christmas in July and so Uniko is jumping on the band wagon. Myself & the Brand Ambassadors will be sharing various Christmas themed inspiration throughout the month along with some non Christmas inspiration.

For the entire month Uniko Christmas products are on sale HERE. So be sure to take advantage of this and get a head start on Christmas making 😉

Today I have a simple layout I have used to create two quick Christmas cards using two Uniko stencils.  You could easily use the layout for Christmas stamps and non Christmas products of course. For my first card today I decided to ink up Uniko Stencil - In The Forest

I started by inking through the stencil with Concord & 9th Evergreen ink, onto a Concord & 9th Parsley card stock panel. I then removed and cleaned the stencil before repositioning in exactly the same place to ink through with VersaMark ink. I then embossed with WOW Clear Sparkle embossing powder.

I die cut the tag (I believe it is a Mama Elephant die) and stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from Christmas Sentiments. I added some green bakers twine and adhered the tag to the card using foam adhesive. I finished off using some Nuvo drops and adhered the panel to a white card base.

My second card uses the exact same layout, but I simply changed things up by using the Stencil - Scandinavian Christmas.

I also changed my colours up. This time I used Concord & 9th Cranberry card and applied Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel through the stencil.

The sparkle on both these cards are wonderful and it feels good to get a start on Christmas! I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Thanks for stopping by & crafty hugs
