Christmas Stamp Camp Projects

Now that the holidays are over I wanted to share our Stamp Camp Projects from last weekend… It’s been too hectic to post earlier, sorry. And this post also works for the Blogger's Challenge Group - this week's theme was Christmas. A Day late....but maybe you can put the ideas into your “file” for next year…

Here you go!

Snowman Gift Card Holder – or you can put chocolates in it:

Santa Tote:

Top Note Gift Card Holder:

And last project was the lunch bag gift bag:

Edited to add:

My friend Deidre wanted to know how I did the Rose on the gift bag above.... Well you see, it's way easy "IF" you have the XL die "Table Setting" from the current Mini Catalog (page 13). It has a swirl cut on the die which will make the rose, but much larger... I simply only used the middle part of that cut, so the rose would be smaller...

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We did! We watched a lot of DVD’s (love the red box rentals, so convenient and affordable!), cooked 2 German Meals, over-ate (like most of us…), played Wii (arm sore now…) and just had a relaxing couple of days…

Stamp Camp gifts

Yesterday afternoon I had a stamp camp at Ellen A.'s house and like always we all just had a great time there. Her food is always just great and this time we even had the honor to meet her mother. She is 94 and was crocheting while we stamped! We visited with her from time to time to  see her awesome work!

And before I get busy this week, I thought I'd share the gifts I brought over that day.

I always have a door prize, and this time Norma was the winner of:

itty_bitty_buds_oval in box

I used the Sizzix box #2 again, stamped it with "Itty Bitty Buds" and punched an opening with the wide oval punch, covered that with clear report cover and filled with easter eggs... Enjoy Norma!

Then for the hostess gift, I decorated this little swivel wood container:

front

And included 2 pens (DSP on inside of pen) and 10 Note Cards:

I just had too much fun making all those items. I told you earlier that I am addicted to my BigShot and all the great dies and texture plates. But little did we know just how bad my addiction is LOL. Anyway I've used the Tulipe die and cut it out from clear report covers to make a stecil and then sponged away with Really Rust CRAFT ink on the container and some of the note cards. I have to say it all turned out great - the sponged image looks so dimensional that you just have to touch it.

Now I just have to go back to my own container and do the front like on Ellen's. Mine so far only has the sides done, but that was my inspiration piece...

Have a great Monday!

August Stamp-a-Stack

August has come and gone already - so I really need to post the cards we made at Stamp-a-Stack last Thursday and Friday!

We've used the new Hostess set "Happiness Always" for both cards...

The first card, more generic:

Happiness Always_SAS1 (Colors used: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Whisper White, Basic Black)

And the second card, more feminine:

Happiness Always_SAS2 (Colors used: Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Really Rust, More Mustard, Whisper White)

We all had a great time making these cards, and I am sure they will make the recipients smile!

Have a great day!

Bloggers Challenge - Embossing

This week for our bloggers challenge we were supposed to emobss... Well do I have the PERFECT card for this! The technique is called Emerging Colors.

For this Technique you really need solid stamps…I've stamped the little flowers in different lighter colors in the general area where my big flower will go later. I've heat set those! Then I've stamped my large flower in VersaMark and embossed with clear EP - let cool!

Then I took Elegant Eggplant ink (any dark ink will do) and brayered SEVERAL layers to cover the small flowers that were showing outside the big flower. Then I used a paper kitchen towel and wiped off the Eggplant ink that was on top of the flower. Enjoy + please be sure to check out the other talented ladies that participate in the weekly bloggers challenge (see side panel)

Simply Said with some Punchies

I needed one more project for my stamp camp this Sunday, and wanted to use the "Three for you" Flower Punch. This is what I came up with:

Designer Paper and Chipboard

Every month right before my stamp camp, I have to come up with one new project... I have 4 stamp clubs going on during the month where I demonstrate 4 projects and then the 5th is the Make-and-Take for everyone. Since I have some ladies from the stamp clubs also come to the stamp camp at the end of the month, I always make it a point to switch out the project that they had as Make-and-Take so they'll get something new.

This month I was determined to use up some more of my designer paper that I've hoarded over the year, and the oh so neglected Chipboard...

This card was inspired by Vicki Allgaier and you can see her card here!

My version uses the "Playhouse" designer Paper:

Stamp Camp - Bring a Friend!

Today I'll have Stamp Camp at my house. And whenever one of my ladies brings a friend, I am giving out little gifts! Today's gifts I made last night. They are little decorated notepads.
