Hippity - Hoppity

and I am back just like that... Sorry, I missed posting yesterday.... It's true what they say...time flies when you're having fun LOL. It was way late when I notice that I had forgotten, so I decided rather than rushing a post, I'd just give you all a break... and pick back up today.

And I am here with a super cute Easter card:

And it is what I think is called "cut apart card", because the middle section of the card is missing...

See:

If you wonder how to do that... It's really simple! The CS for the card is 4 1/4 by 7 1/4, scored at 5 1/2. Then add any panel in the middle... and the bottom strip is 4 1/2 by 2.
I decorated the top and bottom section with DSP (calendar pages) from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit... You could stamp and make your own or just use DSP that you have on hand...

I really like the little Easter Bunny Chick... to add the ears to the chick is not my original Idea. I've seen it done several times in blog land and thought it was too funny and I had to make one too and it just makes me smile... I hope it has the same effect on you.

Hang in there

Hang in there is something I say all the time. So this is the reason why I needed that stamp set!

Did you see what I did here? No? Well, let me tell you... I paper pieced. Meaning, I stamped the chick on Designer Series paper and cut out minus the feet. Then I stamped him again, but this time onto white Cardstock and then glued the other one over it. ... All in all great idea! However, I forgot to color in the feet in Crumb Cake before I took the picture... So he's got pale footsies... I will fix that in a minute, I promise ;-)

Oh and to make it work for the balloon to fit too, I made the card larger.. It's 5 1/2 square...
