Selvage Tags and Business Cards by Kimbuktu

If you read quilt blogs now and then, you'll recognize the name Kimbuktu. Kym has a blog
and a fabric store on Etsy both called Fabric Fascination. She recently used selvages to make tags for her fabric bundles and to make business cards. Nice job, Kym!

Click here to read about all her giveaways this month. (Who's watching out for you?)

Her Etsy store has beautiful merchandise (including the Dr. Suess fabrics), she has a 100% positive feedback rating (impressive), and purchases earn points toward free fabric. What's not to love?

Dianne's Selvage Cards

Dianne Cahill of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia has been making these little selvage gift tags to go with fat quarters that she gives to her sewing group friends. Are quilters thoughtful and generouos people, or what?

Her friends bring her their selvages, so Dianne will probably be making a big quilt soon!

Isn't it funny that we always thought using a selvage in a quilt would lead to something terrible, like shrinking and twisting? But they are fine, even after washing. You can use them in a utility quilt if you want, and it will last a long long time even with lots of machine washing and drying.
