Quilters Guild of Plano, TX

Look at this gorgeous quilt! Lots of fancy piecing and applique. This was a raffle quilt made by the Quilters Guild of Plano, TX in 2011. They have lots of quilt photos on the Gallery page of their website. Nice job!

Sea Glass Quilt is Finished!

And it's on the way to a quilt collector in San Francisco. This peaceful quilt in beautiful soothing colors is good for daydreaming. It makes me want to go to the Caribbean. If this quilt was for me, I would have included some prints, maybe batiks. Interesting surprises to find on the beach. But I like this "clean" version too.

Umbrella Quilt

Queenie's Needlework: 13th Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival 2014
I found this charming quilt photo on Pinterest (pinned by Pat Sloan).
I like everything about this quilt; the fern applique sashing is a very nice touch.

Vintage Eagles and Pomegranates Quilt

This "Eagles and Pomegranates" hand applique quilt was made in Pennsylvania around 1860. It measures 85" x 85." It's part of the Linda Giesler Carlson and Dr. John V. Carlson Collection of Four-Block quilts at the International Quilt Study Center & Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I like the fresh modern look of this quilt made with what looks like solid color fabrics. It's a little quirky too: note the path of the pink vine. This quilt was certainly well cared for over the past 150+ years.

Bold Applique Quilt

This bold antique applique quilt is listed at Laura Fisher Quilts in New York City.
This unique 19th century quilt is priced at $4,500. Wouldn't that amaze the quilt maker?
(The dimensions are not provided, but I'm guessing it's queen-ish size.)
