I did not post yesterday and I'm off to the USC/Arizona game right now. But I thought I would share a little bit about me.
I am 45 years old and attend Antelope Valley College majoring in photography. I went to CSU Long Beach in 1982 but left without graduating because I was "in love" and wanted to get married. Three years later I was divorced with a baby and no degree. I went to CSU Dominquez Hills and became a certified paralegal. I worked for the public defenders office for about five years. I remarried and had three more children. I started a stained glass business and loved being my own boss working with my hands. He passed away (while we were separated) at age 42. So, I had no (real) job, no degree, a mortgage, and three children to raise. They were all under 7 years old at the time. I had already met the love of my life, Honey. She brought two boys with her and so began our crazy, brady bunch kind of life. This past summer, we became grandmas for the first time. We have huskies we love, a chihuahua we love, too many cats, too many fish and a turtle. We live on the softball/baseball fields, and I now work with high school band.
My life is nothing that I thought it would be and everything I want!! My children are doing well, are happy and healthy. We have the same problems everyone has with their teenagers, but we work through them together. Something I never had before. I know my choices aren't for everyone, but their choices aren't for me. So I guess we are even.
