Sweet Bear Welcome Baby - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by with a second card (click HERE to see the one I shared yesterday!) that uses a super sweet stamp set from Simon Says Stamp - I have had the stamp set for quite some time, and love and used it. But I recently purchased the dies to go along with it, because I wanted to use some of the other elements...and to be honest? I was far too lazy to cut all those elements out! Tell me I'm not the only one?!? I feel like this gave new life to this stamp set for me!

I first stamped lots of the adorable images from Woodland Whimsy on white cardstock with Copic friendly ink, then colored them in with very simple Copic colors. Next, I die cut all the elements with the coordinating dies (SUCH a time saver!) - and got ready to assemble them on my card!

I chose some soft pattern paper from Honey Bee Stamps 6x6 Fresh Brewed paper pad - isn't it the perfect combination of colors?

I used the negative space of the white circle from yesterday's card, die cut with Stitched Circles. I tucked some different pattern paper under the back of it, then added my bear with foam adhesive, and used liquid glue to attach the banner and all the little leaf elements.

I used my distress took to add some texture to the outer edges of the pattern paper, then used a white gel pen to add some tiny bits of embellishment to the images. Finished off with a loopy jute string bow glued on the top front!

Sweet Deer Welcome Baby - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Stopping by with a card that uses a super sweet stamp set from Simon Says Stamp - I have had the stamp set for quite some time, and love and used it. But I recently purchased the dies to go along with it, because I wanted to use some of the other elements...and to be honest? I was far too lazy to cut all those elements out! Tell me I'm not the only one?!? I feel like this gave new life to this stamp set for me, and I see using it LOTS in the future - I'm so thrilled with how this card came out! I have another one I also created and will share in the next day or two as well, so keep an eye out for that one.

I die cut a white circle with Stitched Circles to use as a base for my elements. I glued the deer in the center, using just a bit of liquid glue in the center of the body so the rest floats free for a bit of dimension. I did the same with the banner and the heart - then also with the florals arranged around the sides. LOVE how it feels as if it creates a wreath around the main image!

Used a white gel pen to add some tiny bits of embellishment to the images. Finally, a bit of jute twine wrapped around and tied in a bow finishes this card off!

Lion Baby Cards - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! Today I have a couple of baby cards to share using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp! I recently used up my final baby shower card that would work for either a boy or girl (I had some pink and blue ones in my stash...but that was about it!) - so I thought it would be a good idea to rebuild that part of my stash a bit!

I always love when I can create cards in pairs - especially when I'm building my stash of a certain type of card! So since I was die cutting the adorable Picture Book Lion from some Honeybee pattern paper, I put them together in reverse order so I ended up with two lions. So naturally, I decided to make two cards with them!

I tucked a few leaves behind each one using Detail Elm Leaf, just die cut in white for a soft look. I layered some pattern paper from the same paper pad across the top of my panels, and then added the cluster of leaves, and the lions popped up on foam adhesive.

Sentiments were stamped underneath using a combination of Lifting Hearts and Tiny Words Faith stamp sets.

I also added a scallop frame to each of them using a gorgeous new Pinkfresh Studio die called Stitched Scallop Rectangles.

To finish off, I added a few coordinating soft blue Pretty Pink Posh jewels, then mounted those panels on cardbases created with cream cardstock - just enough to contrast with all the white and add a touch of color around the edges!

Bone-a-fide Delicious - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a funny little birthday card using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp! I didn't realize until now as I'm posting, that this stamp set - Bone-A-Fide Birthday - is no longer available at Simon Says Stamp! Oops! And what's really sad...this was the first time I had used it! Double oops! Ah well...I still thought it was a fun card, so figured I may as well share it now anyway! Haha!

This is a pretty simple and straightforward design - no coloring required, which is kind of nice for a quick card as well!

This pattern paper from Honeybee Stamps Autumn Afternoon 6x6 paper pad is just lovely - I love the soft muted fall tones, and grabbed a couple of them for this card.

A little loop of black twine attached with some tiny staples, and a few sentiments, with some heat embossed and trimmed into strips make the perfect finishing touch for this simple card!

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Limited Edition Card Kit

Hello - and HAPPY STAMPtember - a month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping.

Today is the reveal of a special limited edition STAMPtember Card Kit! Here is a look at this super fun kit:

I have two cards to share with you using mostly this new kit - only a few small additions!

This first card may be my favorite! Haven't tried this technique before - but it was super fun, and I love the effect. I used the included Freestyle Flowers 6x6 stencil to blend clear embossing ink over watercolor cardstock, then heat embossed with the included clear embossing powder. Then I randomly watercolored over the image with the sheet of Daniel Smith watercolor samples, and left that to dry overnight before cleaning the stray watercolor off the embossing. Such a fun dimensional watercolor look!

I trimmed my panel down and mounted it with foam on a cardbase created with the white cardstock in the kit, then added some sentiments. The sentiment at the top is not from the kit - I used a CZ Design Sentiment Strip - Reverse Happy, and added gold foil to it - be still my heart! Now I want to foil all the things - haha! I did the same thing with the sentiment underneath, but that one is one of the ones included in the kit. Either way, the foil adheres to the black areas of the preprinted sentiments which is awesome!

I adhered both of those with foam adhesive again, then tucked a few Pretty Pink Posh gold jewels around for some finishing sparkle!

The next card is bright, bold, simple, and just plain happy!

As soon as I saw this pattern paper, I knew I wanted to use it on a card - and this stamp image was just perfect to complement it!

I stamped it with black versamark ink, and heat embossed with some of the clear powder in the kit. Love the simple gorgeous shine and gloss this adds to the image! I then trimmed it down, matted with some white cardstock from the kit, and added that to a cardbase created with some of the Sunshine cardstock in the kit.

Finally, added a sentiment from the kit, heat embossed in white on black cardstock and mounted with foam adhesive. Isn't it so sunny, bright, and happy?!?!?
