October Afternoon Farmhouse Layouts

I have been trying to sneak a bit of scrapbooking in between a busy life, and lots of design team projects - and these are two of my favorite recent pages. I actually finished them a few weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to sharing them here yet. Pretty much just used LOTS of October Afternoon goodies, a touch of lace, some crinkle ribbon, and a lace doily on the first one:

For the second one, I had been wanting to do a starburst on a layout for a while, and these papers from October Afternoon Farmhouse collection were PERFECT for it!

Short and sweet today! Sorry about that! But I promise there is lots coming soon! I have something made for Friends with Flair tomorrow, then some Peachy Keen sneak peeks are coming soon too! You are going to LOVE the newest release! Then next week Peachy Keen is teaming up with Core'dinations for a blog hop, and it is my day to post on the Peachy Keen blog next Friday. The following week, I'm the Growing in Unity gal for the week, as well as another post for My Craft Spot, and a new challenge at Peachy Keen.

Whew...all that, and trying to get our house cleaned, spruced up, and ready to sell...and then there is moving...now I know why I'm tired! Anyway - I will see you soon with lots more! Have a great day!

Mother's Day Tea Favors

I never got around to sharing these on here, but right before Mother's Day, our church hosted a Mother's Day tea. I made 70 (yes, you read that right!) of these as party favors!
I used Emma's little Bubblegum Treat Box die - and a bunch of Authentique paper that I got recently on an online deal site. Added a Ghiradelli Chocolate inside, and tied them up with tulle.
I wouldn't exactly say they were quick - at least that many of them - but they were lots of fun!

MFT Getting Sketchy #73

Hello! I actually got this done a few days ago, but this is the first opportunity I had to get it posted! Anyway - this is my entry for this weeks My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy Challenge #73:
And here is this weeks sketch:

I have to laugh - because I usually change the square sketches to rectangles - and this week, I changed a rectangle one to a square! Oh well! It is just what worked for me! I just got some paper that is specially made for Copics - and this is the first image I colored up to test it out. I LOVE it! Can't believe how much easier it is to make the markers do what I have been wanting them to do. Now...I need more markers! :0)
The sentiment is from the brand new release from My Creative Time - thought it was so cute with this image! And I added some flowers I cut with my Cricut using the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge, then inked the edges of with Tim Holtz distress ink. Tucked a few "leaves" that I punched with my Martha Stewart branch punch.
I then used some yellow chevron ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, trimmed a piece of lace in half lengthwise, and glued it to the back, and put the whole thing down under the center panel.
Finished off with a couple of stick on pearls in the top left corner.
Hope you are having a wonderful day!

My Craft Spot Challenge - Buttons and Bows

Good morning! It's my week to share some Design Team Inspiration for this weeks challenge over at My Craft Spot - this week it's all about Buttons and Bows! Here is what I made:
I used my Cricut and Everyday Pop-up Cards cartridge to make the flowers and pots - using some cardstock, and pattern paper from a Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad.
I ran my flower pots through my Cuttlebug using a Papertrey Ink Impression Plate (Linen) for a bit of fun texture. Tied some Trendy Twine from My Craft Spot around each of the pots. I love the pink and brown twine! Also added some Papertrey Ink buttons to the center of the flowers.
The sentiment came from the Sweet Sentiment Set #2, and I inked the edges of the main layer of cardstock with some Tim Holtz distress ink. I also tucked a bit of Milk Chocolate crinkle ribbon behind the flower pots.
Hope you will hop over to My Craft Spot and join in by linking up your own creation with buttons and bows! Can't wait to see what you make!

Market Street Paint the Town Color Challenge - with Paint Spatters!

Good morning! I am combining two challenges this morning - the Market Street Stamps May Paint the Town Color Challenge, and the Moxie Fab Paint Spatter Technique Challenge. Here is what I made:
And here is the color combination - so pretty, don't you think?

I used the "Riding By" set by Market Street stamps for the bike - which I stamped on the card, then on scrap paper to cut out and mask the bike image. Then I added the spatters using some October Afternoon sprinklers.
After I removed the mask, I used Copics to lightly color in the bike, then added a strip of paper from Basic Grey's new What's Up 6x6 paper pad.
Rounded the top corner and stamped the sentiment, then added a couple of stick on pearls and a bit of Papertrey Ink button twine to finish it off.
Hope you are having a great holiday weekend! Have a beautiful day!

Foxy Friends with Flair!

Good morning! Happy Friday - and LONG weekend! YAY!!! I am joining in on Unity Friends with Flair this morning with this card:
I used the recent April KOTM for the fox and the fun sentiment!
Colored it in with my Copic Markers, and inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.
The pattern paper is all Basic Grey Konichiwa 6x6 paper. And all that delightful ribbon, trim, and twine is from Ribbon Carousel! Isn't it beautiful?!?!?
Also added a tiny red button from Papertrey Ink.
And that's all folks! Have a wonderful weekend!

Some MCT Father's Day Cards!

Good morning!!! Did you see the new release from Emma at My Creative Time last week?!?!? It was amazing! And I was SOOO incredibly happy to be the lucky winner of her previous Throwback Thursday Challenge, because it meant that she sent me the ENTIRE release as my prize! How incredibly generous is that?

Anyway - my very favorite set was What's Growing On? I just LOVE the mustache dies, and all the cute sentiments - especially with Father's Day coming up soon! I couldn't wait to get them out to play, so I started off with a couple of Father's Day Cards!

I also used the Tag Dies, and the older set, "You're my Best Buddy" to make this card:
All the papers are from an older My Minds Eye 6x6 paper pad.
I attached the mustache's with foam adhesive, and then the tag to the card with more foam adhesive. Added some doodles around the edges of the card with a black pen - because it looked like it needed something!
Added some V-striped twill ribbon from Ribbon Carousel to the top, and tied a PTI button and some twine around the top. I'm kinda thinking the tag could be easily removed to make a bookmark too - so a much more multipurpose card that way!
For the next one - I used a Peachy Keen face, and just stamped the eyes and nose, then added the glasses and mustache!
The paper is from the same paper pad, and the sentiment is from the MCT set "Here's Lookin at You!"
I used foam adhesive under the center panel, then added some faux stitching around the edges of that, and the outer edges of the pattern paper.
Aren't these stamps FUN!!! Anyway - I plan on using all the other set soon as well - but wanted to hop on and share these with you as soon as possible!

It has been a zoo around here - I feel like I have been working lot crazy to get our house cleaned, sorted, and ready to put on the market. It is amazing how much stuff (((junk))) you collect in only about 8 years of living in the same house! Feels good to let some of it go, and get everything cleaned and organized - even if it means not very much crafty time! Can't wait to be free to work on it better though!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

My daughter's Peachy Keen project!

Am I the only one who things it is the sweetest thing ever when your kids want to craft with you? They each even have their own box of scrapbooking and cardmaking stuff. hey are always asking to craft with me though, and sometimes I'm so busy that I don't take the time to do it - but since my 7 year old daughter Amy had been asking me for sometime if she could use my stuff - I had to sit down and spend some time with her! She, of course, wanted to use some of my Peachy supplies! Here is what she made:
She wanted to use the flower from the May KOTM, picked the Copic colors to use, and the face she wanted on it. Also told me she wanted me to cover it with the "shiny" stuff (Glossy Accents!)
Used some paper from an older Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad, and stamped the sentiment from the April KOTM.
I am linking this up over at this weeks Peachy Keen Challenge - it's a good one! Anything goes - just make sure and use a Peachy Keen stamp somewhere on it!

And feel free to leave a comment for my daughter! She is always begging me to share one of her projects with my "computer friends" - so I'm sure she would love to hear what you say!!!

I also listed this for sale under the "Cards for Sale" tab above - since she wanted to sell it to help build a house for the widows as well! So...if you're interested - feel free to click over there!

Have a wonderful day!

MFT Getting Sketchy #72 - Birthday Hugs and Kisses

Good morning! Well...the last week or two has been pretty eventful, and I haven't had much time to craft! Sorry I've been gone so much! I just found out for sure yesterday that we will be moving from Washington State to Wyoming sometime this summer! It is by far the scariest thing I have ever done, but it is exciting in a lot of ways too. Words cannot express how much I will miss our close knit family and friends...but I am grateful that it is only a 16 hour drive away, so hopefully visits will be frequent! So, not sure exactly how this is all going to take place, but things might be a little crazy around here for a while. I also might be doing some purging giveaways too!

Anyway - I did manage to get a card quickly put together this morning for this weeks My Favorite Things Getting Sketchy #72. Here is what I made:
And here is the sketch:

I took a few more liberties with the sketch than I usually do - but I think it is close enough! All the papers are from an older Basic Grey 6x6 paper pad, and I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Victorian Velvet.
I stamped one of my Pure Innocence Stamps on the most solid and plain of the pattern paper, then added some pink on the cheeks and a little bit of blue outline around the edges with my Copic Markers.
The sentiment is from My Craft Spot stamps - Birthday Wishes.
Then I couldn't resist! I added a bow along the bottom using some ribbon and twine from My Craft Spot as well! The yellow crinkle ribbon is Sunshine Yellow, and the twine is Trendy Twine Strawberry Cupcake
Hope you enjoy my bright and fun card today - and have a WONDERFUL day!!!

Peachy Keen Challenge - Anything Goes!

This week at Peachy Keen stamps - the challenge is "Anything Goes" - create any project you like using Peachy Keen stamps! I pulled out some of my sets from the newest release, and one of the faces from an older Kit of the Month to make this:
Here are all the sets I used for this card:

I used some solid colored paper and stamped the Picnic Tablecloth background onto it using black ink to make my pattern paper.
That cute ketchup bottle was colored with Copic Markers, and the face came from the February Kit of the Month. I also inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.
Wrapped some jute twine around one layer, and tied a Papertrey Ink button into the bow.
Attached that layer with foam adhesive, both for dimension, and so that the twine would fit!
So now it's your turn! Head on over to Peachy Keen and link up your new creation using your Peachies!!! Can't wait to see what you create!!!

I am also linking this up with the Gingham Challenge on the Moxie Fab World.

Thank FULL - FWF Friday!

Can't believe another Friday is here! Where are the weeks going?!?!?! But since it is Friday, I'm playing along with Unity Stamp Company's Friday Friends with Flair again. This week I am sharing a reject from one of the last publication calls (in case you were wondering why I'm sharing a fall themed card!):
This is another card I made using a 6x6 piece of paper folded in half for the card base. All the papers are from My Mind's Eye.
I used my Tim Holtz distress tool on one layer of pattern paper, then a Fiskars notebook edge punch on another one. Added a square of burlap - then that great jar stamp from a Unity Stamp KOTM (can't remember which one, and I'm not at home so I can't look right now!)
I fussy cut, then pop-dotted the jar from the background, and tied a bit of twine from Papertrey Ink around the top. The sentiment is from the same KOTM, and I stamped it on pattern paper before cutting it out and adding it to the top of the jar, also with pop-dots!
So glad you dropped in today! Hope to see you again soon!!!
