Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas - No 10

Hello There

Gosh our first week of 2014 is under our belts already!  And here I am still sharing Christmas makes with you, only I made this the other day and am sharing it with you now.

As you are aware I have been taking part in Linda's 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge which deadline is ending pretty soon.  The Challenge is being sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique.  I know I have no chance of finishing in time for the deadline but finish them I will just for myself.  So there!

Here is tag 10.....

A close up of the layers at another angle.  Can you tell that morning light is not brilliant these days?

This little peg is from Czech and is one of the last two I have left.  So there is one looking lonely now.  Not sure when I can go back to find any soon....

I stamped the background with Banana Frog stamps and an Inkadinadoo stamp with DI and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I embossed the trees with a TH folder and inked over with Pine Needles DI.  I took my embossing pen and embossed some "snow" on the trees with WOW embossing powder.
I cut a from from a precious Snippet of K&Co glitterstock using the TH die and adhered wit foam pads and added some bling to cover the holes.

Some ribbon and my silver string (had it for years and never used it as much as I have this year!).

Enough waffle, off to join the Challenge and the Snippets Playground.

Nearly the weekend yeay!  Thanks for popping over.

Use it Up Birthday Card

Hello Friends

My Buddy Sandra has been a good influence on me and I have been using up some of my  bits 'n pieces that I have had in my Craft Room for a while including stamped images, papers, cards, Snippets and the like.  Here is a Birthday Card I have made using a stamped House Mouse image which my good Buddy sent to me a while ago.

Coloured in with my Copics and a little sparkly embossing powder to add some sparkle to the icing.
The card itself came in a kit from a well known TV Shopping channel with three letters a loooong time ago, and I am not keen on them because they are pre-printed so you have to choose carefully what you are going to put on them but I think this image works.  A few old brads and some ribbled cardstock (which is straight honest) and a little Banana Frog sentiment stamped and cut with a Nestie.

I am linking this up to the Playground as there are a few Snippets used in this card.

Thanks for popping by.  The Treehouse is now complete I believe though it needs some decorating and finishing off inside.  Just as well as the weather is sooo pants now!

Happy Rudolph Day Folks

Ahoy Peeps!  Happy Rudolph Day to y'all!

Before I start today's posting I would like to say "Hi" to my new followers.  I really love to have you join me on my blog and hope you like what I do.  This is great, I go away on holiday and come back to new Peeps following me.  Brilliant!  Maybe I should go away on holiday more often!!
Rightio!!  For those of you who do not know what Rudolph Day is it means that it is the 25th of the month and my friend Sandra started a "thing" off for making a Christmas card on the 25th of every month.  In the latter months of 2011 I started to join her and a few others followed and now Sandra has a Rudolph Day with Mr Linky and everything!  Feel free to join in with us as it runs up to the end of the month so you still have 4 days to dust your Christmas papers and embellishments off and get ready nice and early for Christmas!  Incidentally, I had a stapler thrown at me in work for mentioning the "C" word yesterday - can you believe it?  She will be sorry when she is running around like a headless chicken in December!!

Here are mine......

I used some new Banana Frog stamps that I bought in their recent sale, some Ranger Archival ink and copic pens for the baubles.  They should have been very quick to do but you know how things go.... the bauble ones were stamped lots several times until I was happy with them.  And that blue thread is an absolute sw  very awkward to control!  The tree card went brilliantly in less than 10 mins though - swings and roundabouts ey!

I just love the way the glossy accents has made a glossy bubble over the baubles.  I hope you can see it on this picture.

I did actually stamp enough bits of cards to make 10 cards, but only managed two last night, but at least they are ready to go ahead and make.

Don't forget to link up with Sandra.
