Rudolph and Presents

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and we want you to 'Include a Reindeer'.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" white matt card blank
Bugaboo 'Reindeer Presents' and Imagine That 'Poinsettia' digi stamps
     Promarkers
Green mirri and white matt card
     Glossy Accents

I'm entering the following challenges:
     Bugaboo Weekly Challenge 'Anything Goes'
Christmas Kickstart Challenge 'For the Kids'
Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'

This is my final month on the Sparkles Christmas Challenge Design Team - I've so many other projects at the moment that I've stepped down from DT duties.  A big thank you to Caz and the rest of the team for making me so welcome over the past six months.

Let's See Some Holly

It's time for another challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and our theme is 'Let's See Some Holly'.

I'm entering Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Anything Goes', the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Chistmas Goes' and Crafty Creations Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

6" x 4" red textured tent fold card blank
Lili of the Valley 'Festive Foliage' Art Pad
Silver mirri card
Wink of Stella

I have used one of my favourite LOTV Art Pads to make this quick card.  I trimmed the precoloured Art Pad sheet so it was slightly wider than the image and layered it onto a strip of silver mirri.  This was then attached across the centre of the card blank.  To finish I highlighted the berries and holly leaves with a Wink of Stella.

Feature a Creature

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and we want you to 'Feature a Creature'.

I'm entering the Christmas Kickstart Challenge 'Delectable Die-Cuts', the Dies R Us Challenge 'Anything Goes', the Alphabet Challenge 'A is for Animals' and the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.

5" x 5" white matt card blank
Creative Dies 'Woodland Scene' die, Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' & Spellbinders Nestabilities 'Classic Squares Large'
Making Cards magazine 'Together' paper
Dark blue pearlescent card, silver mirri card and white matt card

I die cut the Woodland Scene from white card and snipped the tree away before attaching to the blue paper and trimming around the edge.  I die cut and embossed the largest stitched square from blue pearlescent card and the largest classic square from silver mirri card.  I layered the scene onto the silver square and the blue square before attaching it to the card front.

Winter Berry Bouquet

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and we want to see 'A Vintage Christmas Card'.

I'm entering Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge 'Use Some Gold', Jingle Belles 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' challenge (my topper has sheet music on it) and the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.

6" x 6" cream matt card blank
Hunkydory Vintage Christmas Collection 'Winter Berry Boutique' topper
Creative Dies 'Elegant Reindeer' die
Kaisercraft 'Christmas Collections' paper
Gold mirri card

To make this quick card I trimmed the gold patterned paper, layered it onto gold mirri and attached it to the card front.  I removed the die cut topper from the backing card and attached it to the left side of the card.  I die cut the antlers and small swirl from the reindeer die and attached them to the lower corner of the card before using foam tape to attach the sentiment.

Perfect Poinsettias

It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and our theme this month is 'Poinsettia'. We want to see one or more poinsettias which must be the main or focal point of the card.

I'm entering the Crafty Creations Challenges 'Anything Goes', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.

Hunkydory ''Tis the Season - Perfect Poinsettias' decoupage set

The decoupage set is so beautifully decorated that I kept the card simple.  I folded the poinsettia card to make a DL card blank and trimmed to shape.  I removed the die cut pieces, shaped them in my hand and then used Pinflair glue to build the layers.  When dry, this panel was attached to the centre of the card front and the sentiment attached to the top.

Merry Christmas Steve

I'm so pleased to have been invited to join the Design Team at Sparkles Christmas Challenge - thank you to Caz and the team!  For the first challenge this year our theme is 'Add Some Sparkle' and I'm sharing the card I made for my husband (using the die he bought me last Christmas!).

I'm entering the Dies R Us 'Anything Goes' challenge and the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes'.  The card was made with snippets so I'm also heading into the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

6" x 6" white matt card blank
Creative Expressions 'Festive Collection - Aurora Star' die
White matt card
Computer generated sentiment 'Copperplate Gothic Light' font
Snippets of dark blue pearlescent card, silver glitter sheet and thin white card

I attached a square of blue pearlescent card to the centre of the card front.  I printed the sentiment onto white card and trimmed the panel so it was slightly smaller than the blue matt before die cutting the star frame.  I placed this panel onto the card and marked the points of the star to give me a guide when I attached the snippet of silver glitter sheet onto the blue card.  I attached snippets of white card around the glitter sheet so there was an even layer across the card front.  I then attached the panel with the printed sentiment.  I die cut the star and frame from blue pearlescent card and used dots of Tacky Glue to inlay it into the card front.
