How Does Your Garden Grow

I made this card for the current Allsorts 'How does your garden grow' challenge and followed the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.  I'm also entering Crafting with Dragonflies 'Dragonfly or Butterfly and Crafty Friends 'Inspired by a Song' (I've been inspired by English Country Garden by Jimmie Rodgers).

Card blank: 7" x 7" white silk
Image: Lili of the Valley 'English Charm' Art Pad
Die: Tattered Lace 'Mini Butterfly'
Card: Purple matt
Paper: Lili of the Valley 'Country Meadow'

I cut a square of floral paper, layered it onto purple card and attached it to the card blank.  A strip of square paper was attached down the centre.  I trimmed one of the Art Pad images, layered it onto purple card and attached it to the centre.  To finish I die-cut a mini butterfly and attached it to the top of the image.

Vintage and Flowers

The current challenge at Allsorts is 'Vintage' and I made this card following this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday.  I'm linking up to Iwona's blog - to celebrate her fourth blogaversary she's asking people to link cards with four flowers for a chance to win her candy.  I'm also visiting the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop with my snippets.

Card blank: 7" x 7" kraft
Image: Making Cards 'Playtime' (magazine freebie)
Punches: Woodware 'Daisy' and 'Grass'
Card: White silk
Paper: Making Cards 'Playtime' beige pattern
Other: Pearls
Snippets: Red, blue and green papers

I cut the the beige patterned paper slightly narrower than the card blank, layered it onto white card and attached it to the card.  I attached a strip of red patterned paper across the lower section of the card.  I cut around the image and attached it with foam tape.  I glued snippets of blue and green papers to make them double sided and then punched four flowers and five stems.  These were then attached to the frame of the image.  To finish I attached pearls to the centre of the flowers and the corners of the beige paper.
