Hello Sunshine!

My 'Big Birthday Wishes' card was the winner of the CAS on Friday 'Dies Only' challenge and the team invited me to be Guest Designer on their 'Sunshine' challenge.  I was a little stuck with the challenge as I don't have any sunshine stamps or dies, but thought this lovely sunflower stamp would be perfect for a sunshine card.

To make this card I used:
     C6 white matt card blank
The Best of Cardmaking Magic 'Sunflower' stamp and die
My Favorite Things 'Fishtail Flags' die
     Versafine Vintage Sepia ink
Cosmic Shimmer Clear Detail embossing powder
     Yellow and brown Promarkers
     Computer generated sentiment 'Harrington' font
     Snippets of white matt card

I stamped the sunflower onto a snippet of white card using brown ink before embossing it with clear embossing powder and cutting it with the coordinating die.  I coloured the sunflower with yellow and light brown Promarkers.  I printed the sentiment onto white matt card, using Harrington font and changing the colour to dark brown.  I cut the sentiment with the fishtail flag, elongating the die so the flag was just a little smaller than the width of the card.   I attached the flag along the lower edge of the card and flower to the left of the sentiment.

I am entering the following challenges:
As You Like It Challenge - Clean or Fussy (it's almost always 'clean' for me - I always place die cuts and embellishments onto the card and then take something away before it all gets stuck into place!)
Daisy Chain Challenge - Not Square
     Snippets Playground - Challenge 478

May All Year Dreams Come True

I made this card to send to Viv for the May Card Chain Challenge using the Colour Option (Navy, Turquoise & Gold), the Theme Option (Friendship) and the Product/Technique Options (Embossing Powder/Ripped Edges).

To make this card I used:
     7" x 5" white matt card blank
Cardmaking Magic 'The Best of Cardmaking Magic' butterfly stamp & coordinating die
     Clearly Besotted 'Dandelion Dreams' stamps
     Versafine Majestic Blue ink
Cosmic Shimmer clear detail embossing powder
     Turquoise and gold Promarkers
     Dark blue sequins
Snippet of white matt card and white paper

I stamped the butterfly onto a snippet of white matt card using dark blue ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then coloured the wings with the turquoise and gold Promarkers.  As the Promarkers had bled through the card I die cut another butterfly from a snippet of white paper and attached it to the rear to cover the ink marks. I used another snippet of white matt card to rip a strip the same width as the card blank.  I placed the strip of card into my MISTI with the butterfly laid on top so I could see where to position the sentiment.  I then stamped the sentiment with dark blue ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder before attaching it to the card.  To finish I attached three small sequins around the butterfly.

I am entering the following challenges:
     Addicted to CAS - Freedom
     CAS on Friday - Embossing
Love to Craft - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap - Anything Goes
     Snippets Playground - Challenge 455

This is the lovely card I received from Tina -

October Rudolph Day Challenge

It's time for another Rudolph Day card using a magazine cover gift - which is my RD theme this year.  This card uses a Cardmaking Magic 'Perfect Poinsettia' die that was a cover gift with Die Cutting Essentials magazine.

I trimmed a piece of card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank.  I then die cut the poinsettia outline and 'Christmas' from the panel (keeping the 'Christmas' sentiment to one side as I needed the small pieces to inlay).  I attached a snippet of gold sparkle card behind the panel before attaching it to the front of the card blank.  I die cut the intricate poinsettia and 'Christmas' from red sparkle card and inlaid these into the front of the card.  To finish I inlaid the small pieces of white card into the 'Christmas' sentiment.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white hammer card blank
Practical Publishing Cardmaking Magic 'Perfect Poinsettia' dies
Snippets of white hammer card, red sparkle card and gold glitter paper

I am entering the following challenges:
Christmas Kickstart Challenge - Poinsettias and Posies
Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies - October Challenge
Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
     Rudolph Day - October Challenge
     Snippets Playground - Challenge 439

Enjoy Your Day

It's Wednesday which is now the day I will be posting my cards (maybe one post or maybe more each Wednesday!).  I made this card for one of my great-nephew's birthday - although the image is a cutie I thought 'Lazy Afternoon' was appropriate for a teenager!

     5" x 5" white matt card blank
Lili of the Valley 'Lazy Afternoon' Mini Masterpiece (precoloured image)
Best of Cardmaking Magic Sentiment Stamp
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' dies
     Kars tan embossing mat
     Versafine Vintage Sepia ink
     Brown card

I'm entering the following challenges:
     Crafty Calendar Challenge 'Masculine'
     Pearly Sparkles Challenge 'It's a Man's World'
Tales from the Craft Room 'Let's Hear it for the Boys'

On your Wedding Day

I made this card for the Cuttlebug Mania 'Marriage' challenge.  I'm also entering the Tales from the Craft Room 'Love' challenge and the  Die Cut Divas 'Love' challenge,

5" x 5" white matt card blank
Lili of the Valley 'Wedding Couple' Mini Masterpiece topper
Lawn Fawn 'Outside In Stitched Square Stackables' dies
Kars tan embossing mat
Card Making Magic sentiment stamp
Versafine black ink
Lili of the Valley 'Heartfelt' paper
Thin white card

I attached a piece of the pink heart paper onto thin white card before die cutting and embossing a frame using the two largest dies.  The frame was then attached to the centre of the card blank.  I die cut and embossed the precoloured topper before stamping the sentiment in the top corner.  I then inlaid the topper into the frame.
