Butterfly Birthday

I made this card for the Butterfly Challenge using a lovely Creative Expression butterfly die set which was one of the items I purchased with the gift voucher I won in the Snippets Playground last month.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white matt card blank
Lawn Fawn 'Giant Happy Birthday to You' and Creative Expressions 'Finishing Touches - Dainty Butterflies' dies
Polkadoodles 'Fourini' paper (my last floral sheet from this lovely paper pad)
     Burgundy pearlescent card

I trimmed the floral paper to 5.25" x 5.25" and die cut the sentiment from the centre, setting the sentiment to one side.  The paper was layered onto burgundy pearlescent card and attached it to the centre of the card blank.  I die cut the sentiment twice from burgundy pearlescent card, the first sentiment was inlaid into the card, together with the small pieces of from the paper sentiment.  The paper sentiment was attached to the top of the second burgundy sentiment to give it some strength before being attached to the card, slightly offset to creative a shadow effect.  To finish I die cut two small butterflies from burgundy card and attached them above and below the sentiment.

I am entering the following challenges:
Butterfly Challenge - B for Birthday (I have chosen the first option and have used the colours Baby Pink, Bud Green, Burgundy and Buttermilk plus Birthday Wishes & Butterflies)
Make My Monday - Use your Patterned Paper
NBUS - Challenge 59 (my new butterfly dies)
Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes

So Sorry You're Leaving

This is another leaving card I made for one of Steve's colleagues  I love this BoBunny paper, which had been a magazine cover gift years ago.  I made a larger 7" x 7" card as I didn't want to trim the paper as that would have cut the butterflies from the sides - I also thought a larger card would allow plenty of space for people to write messages inside the card.

I layered the paper onto a piece of card and them trimmed the edges of the card before die cutting a stitched circle in the centre.  The panel was then attached to the card.  I printed the sentiment onto white paper, layered it onto white card and die cut the stitched circle.  The sentiment was then inlaid into the card.

To make this card I used:
     7" x 7" white matt card blank
Polkadoodles 'So Sorry You're Leaving' free digi sentiment
My Favorite Things 'Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics' die
     BoBunny 'Isabella' paper pad
     White card

I am entering the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - July challenge
Pearly Sparkles Challenge - Anything Goes

Thank you

This is one of a few Thank You cards I've recently made - made in minutes following a sketch.

I trimmed a strip of floral paper across the diagonal, layered it onto grey card and attached it to the front of the card blank.  I stamped 'you' onto white card and cut it with the coordinating die before placing it onto the card so I could see where to stamp 'thank'.  The die cut 'you' was attached with a thin foam pad and was covered with a Wink of Stella.

To make this card I used:
     6" x 6" white hammer card blank
Clearly Besotted ' Modern Calligraphy' stamp and die
     Versafine Imperial Purple ink
     Polka Doodles 'Fourini' paper
     Papermania grey textured card
     Wink of Stella

I am entering the following challenges:

Meet me Under the Mistletoe

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year Round and our theme this month is 'Under the Mistletoe (or Kisses/Love)'.

I'm entering the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes', the Merry Little Christmas Challenge 'Anything Christmas Goes' and Crafty Creations Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

6" x 6" cream fleck card blank
Studio Light 'Winter Days' image sheets
Polkadoodles 'Fourini' paper
Black mirri card, cream fleck card

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto cream card and black mirri card before attaching it to the card front.  The topper had got a small cream edging, but as I wanted it to match my matted layer I trimmed around the edge of the black image.  This topper was then layered onto cream card and black mirri before being attached to the left side of the card with foam tape.  To finish I removed a small die cut heart from the sheet, shaped it and attached it to the lower corner with Pinflair glue.

Happy Birthday Butterfly

I made this card for a friend's birthday and am entering the Cardz 4 Galz 'Dimensional Elements' challenge, the Seize the Birthday 'Anything Goes' challenge and Crafty Creations Challenges 'Anything Goes'.

6" x 6" white pearlescent card blank
Cheery Lynn 'Butterfly 7' and Memory Box 'Grand Happy Birthday' dies
Purple and white pearlescent card
Polkadoodles 'Fourini' paper

I trimmed purple pearlescent card so it was slightly smaller than the card blank and attached the Fourini paper to the top section.  This panel was then attached to the card blank.  I die cut the Grand Happy Birthday from both white and purple card.  The white sentiment was trimmed and attached to the lower section of the card and I then inlaid the purple letters.  I die cut the butterfly from purple card and attached it to the top corner of the card and inlaid the butterfly body in white.  To finish I curled the butterfly wings to give dimension to the card.
