November Rudolph Day

It's hard to believe that it's time for the final Rudolph Day of the year - this month's card uses dry embossing and lots of snippets.

I embossed a piece of white pearlescent card with the holly embossing folder.  I trimmed around the edge of the frame before layering it onto silver mirri card and attaching it to the card front.  I used a sentiment that Di had recently sent me and attached it to a circle of pearlesclent card.  This was layered onto a scalloped and embossed circle that had been die cut from silver mirri before being attached to the centre of the card.

To make this card I used:
     5" x 5" white pearlescent card blank
     Apple Blossom 'Holly' embossing folder
     Craftwork Cards sentiment
Snippets of white pearlescent card and silver mirriI

I am entering the following challenges:
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Merry Little Christmas Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes
     Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge 391
     Rudolph Day - November Challenge

Just for You

A big 'thank you' to Hazel for inviting me to join her Design Team at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge,  This is a great challenge where the theme is always 'Anything Goes' as long as you use some patterned paper on your creation.

I have used lovely papers from Craftwork Cards 'Botanica Collection' for my card - it has such a beautiful design and doesn't really need much embellishment.  I'm entering the Seize the Birthday 'Birds, Bees and Butterflies' challenge, and Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge 'Anything Goes'.

Card blank: 8" x 8" white silk
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large and Classic Scalloped Circles Large
Embossing: Kars tan embossing mat
Card: Dark brown matt
Paper: Craftwork Cards 'Botanica Collection' (magazine freebie)
Other: Wink of Stella

I trimmed the paper, layered it onto dark brown card and attached it to the card blank.  The sentiment was die cut and layered onto a scalloped, embossed circle.  This was then attached to the card with foam tape.  To finish I highlighted the flowers and swirls with a Wink of Stella.

Butterfly and Lace

The current Butterfly Challenge is 'L for Lace' and as I found this lace at the bottom of my snippet drawer so I'm also in the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Card blank: 7" x 7" kraft
Die: Memory Box 'Pippi Butterfly'
Card: Pink matt
Paper: Craftwork Cards 'Botanica' (magazine freebie)
Other: Wink of Stella
Snippets: Lace and green ribbon

I threaded the thin green ribbon through the lace and, as the lace was only a snippet, I cut my paper slightly smaller than the ribbon to allow it to wrap around the sides.  The paper was layered onto pink card before I wrapped the lace around the bottom section and then attached to the card front.   I die-cut a butterfly from pink card and attached it to the lower corner of the card.   To finish, I applied a Wink of Stella on the butterfly and the centre of the pink flower.
