Deep Red Stamps Holiday Stocking Card

The stocking stamp in my card today is by Deep Red Stamps and you can purchase it at A Cherry on Top.

I stamped the stocking onto Royal and Langnickel watercolor paper with Hero Arts black ink. I then colored it in using distress markers and a water pen both by Ranger Industries. I love these markers and the great depth you can create with them. I then die cut the image using a Spellbinders die cut as well as a scallop matte for behind it. The green patterned paper is by Makin Memories and the polka dot is by K and Co.

For the rest of my card I used a patterned paper for my background by DCWV. The label die cut is also by Spellbinders and the sticker sentiment is by Karen Foster.

Thanks for looking.

Squirrel card

My card was featured on the Prickley Pear Stamps blog a week ago and I wanted to share it here too. I won some stamps from them in a blog contest and wanted to use the fall stamps they sent me before fall was over.

I made a Halloween card that was also featured on their blog in late September with their stamps and have more to share before the holiday.

I stamped the squirrel on watercolor paper by Royal and Langnickle and colored it in with distress markers and a water pen both by Ranger Industries. I then die cut the image out using a Spellbinders die and matted it onto a larger with brown cardstock. I inked the inside of the image die cut with Ranger distress ink Antique Linen.

The leaf flourish is a Cricut die that I thought was fitting for this fall card. It has rough edges but again I thought it was OK for this card.

The background paper is actually packaging from Imaginisce that I dry embossed with a Darice embossing folder. The patterned paper is by Recollections and the sentiment sticker is by Flair Designs. The banner die in cream/off white, that the sentiment is on, is cut out using my Cricut and the kraft cardstock (Oriental Trading Co) was hand cut to match the die cut. I did use my Tim Holtz attacher on the patterned paper just for fun.

Another close up of the image.

Chalk Ah Lot Embossed card

I'm posting for the Chalk Ah Lot blog today and we have a new theme this fortnightly.

The theme is embossing with chalk.

I did a double set of embossing on my card. Let's start with the black background. The thick cardboard is packaging from ironically an embossing folder. I embossed it with a Daricce folder and my Cuttlebug. I then mixed powdered chalk Stardust by Stamp N Plus with water and painted it onto the embossed area. It needed something so I dried it with a towel and hit with my heat gun to kind of start all over. Next layer I toned down on the water and increased the chalk. Alright...maybe. I hit it with the heat gun and went over it again with an even mix of water and chalk and let it air dry. But then I got impatient and hit it with the heat gun so I could finish my project.

I tied this ribbon around the black base and made it into a bow. Then I matted the black onto some purple patterned paper by Recollections and adhered a Spellbinders die cut to the center of my card. My card base is purple cardstock by Bazzill that I folded at the top.

For the second type of embossing I used a flower basket stamp by Stamp N Plus that can be found HERE. I heat embossed the stamp on water color paper by Royal and Langnickel with Versa Mark and silver Stampin Up embossing powder. I very lightly mixed the powdered chalk with a tiny bit of water and painted the image in. I would dab the image with a towel if I didn't like the color and reapply the chalk in different areas. After it was how I liked it I fussy cut it out and adhered it to my card.

No sentiment on the front which is odd for me but I think it is more appealing without something else added to it. Thanks for stopping by.

Fall Kindness

My Fall card today is brought to you by,
Deep Red provided me with THIS flower stamp that I stamped with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder by Stamp N Plus. I then inked the entire piece of watercolor paper by Royal and Langnickel with Ranger distress ink and then sprayed it with water mixed with Perfect Pearls. I die cut my image out using a Spellbinders die and cut the next size up to matte it on. I did take distress markers and highlight the flower areas a little. The patterned paper is by K and Co, Raffia is from Hobby Lobby and leaf brad and sentiment sticker by Creative Imaginations.

Find more Deep Red stamps HERE or HERE.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

CCAYR Mid month

So the slacker in me forgot to post my mid month Christmas Cards all Year Round on the 15th.
Our challenge over there is Fairies with sparkle and I made this Fairy Christmas card using a stamp I won from Wags to Whiskers.

It can be found HERE.

I stamped her out on Royal and Langnickel watercolor ink and colored her in with distress markers. I added Stickles to her wings and the stars. There are sequin stars coming off of her hands as well. I stamped the sentiment with Lawn Fawn alphabet stamps and the sticker is from Hobby Lobby. The die cuts by Spellbinders {white} and Cricut {Burgundy}, patterned paper by Stampin Up {Old and not Christmas paper but it works}, ribbon by Prima and brads by American Crafts.

Thanks so much for looking. Stop by Christmas Cards all Year Round each month for a new Christmas Card challenge. It really helps to get them done early and to have a variety of them is nice for giving them.

Adorable you

Happy Sunday. I'm posting over at the Chalk Ah Lot blog today for their challenge People Image with Chalk. My card uses a Stamp N Plus stamp which I colored in with their powdered chalks.

The stamp can be found HERE.
Powdered chalk can be found HERE.

This is the same image and colors I used for last weeks card because I find when I have the chalk mixed with paint it's a waste to not use it all. Therefore I created the two images within one seating with these beautiful colors.

The back ground paper is by Imaginsce,  striped My Mind's Eye and purple patterned paper by DCWV. The cardstock is by Bazzill (purple) and Neenah Solar white. The watercolor paper is by Royal and Langnickel Essentials with the chalk paint by Plaid. I die cut that piece out with a Quickutz die and my Cuttlebug. The finish the card off I have a owl brad by Eyelet Outlet, ribbon by American Crafts and sentiment stickers by K and Co.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.
