Whimsy DT And Challenges

Wow, its been a scorcher here today. Temperature topped 31 degrees and its now very muggy. For this card I have used "Princess Emma" from Whimsy Stamps. She's one of my favourites and of course her beautiful dress can be coloured any way that you desire. I have used papers from MME Penny Lane. Paper pieced her dress and coloured with Promarkers. Used my MS Lattice Punch for the border. All the other bits are from my stash. Was intending to add an insert from Bearly Mine Designs, but the printer has ran out of pink ink and I wont have the time to get a refill before my holiday.

This card was made with several challenges in mind;
Everybody Art - Butterfly
One Stop Craft Challenge - Swirls and Pearls
Stamp Something - Paper Piecing

Whimsy Stamps also has a weekly Challenge Blog. You DO NOT have to use their products to enter, all are welcome.
Now must feed the children and have another tidy. Its so nice to be able to take my laptop into any room now, means I can multi task LOL
Thanks for looking and see you in the morning with my Stampin For The Weekend DT card.

Whimsy and Bearly MIne DT Card + Challenges

I'm having a lazy day, the sun is shining and I put the chores on hold so thought I'd sit and play with my stash for an hour. This card uses "Baseball Connor" from the Kids Collection over at Whimsy Stamps. They have a terrific range of stamps, you really need to take a look at the newly released Animal Collection to. Both the papers on this card are from the Designer Extreme Vol 1 at Bearly Mine Designs. Vol 2 and an Insert Disc is also available and Vol 3 is due to be launched very soon.
Whimsy Stamps is sponsoring this weeks Truly Scrumptious Challenge which has a great sketch to follow and the addition of beads. I have added lots of brown beads to the centres of all the buttons but I'm afraid the camera didn't pick them up very well. "Connor" has been coloured with SU Watercolour Crayons and I finished the card by adding Scrabble Tiles. Please do take a look at the Whimsy Stamp Shop and Bearly Mine Designs, both scrummy products for your stash and I wouldn't be without either.
My card also fits into the Stamptacular Challenge which is Childs Play and Fun With Shapes which is Buttons.
Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for looking.

Hello everyone, glorious weather here in the south of England and today is the day we start the WHIMSY BLOG HOP. There is a super candy up for grabs for one lucky person so what you waiting for, get hopping!!!
If you are joining in the hop you should have arrived here from TRUDY"S blog if not then you'll need to go back to the start which is DEB R's blog to make sure you haven't missed anything.
I am so excited to have been chosen to take part in my first BLOG HOP for WHIMSY STAMPS.

We were asked to make a card using our favourite stamps and colours. Well, mine has to be Emma and I really so enjoy using all the colours of the rainbow so have made a summer themed card. Coloured with Copic Markers, I stippled the grass and sky with Chalk Ink Pads. I then used a variety of stamps to create a scene and finished with a Butterfly made with the MS Punch and Flowers and Charm. Can you see the cow in my scene? I thought I'd follow it round so one side is the head and the other is the rear LOL.

Dont forget that WHIMSY STAMPS are on sale and we mustn't forget the recent launch of the gorgeous Animal and Kids collections. they have been a bit hit and it would be a sin if you didn't have at least one piece of rubber in your collection LOL!!!!!

WHIMSY also have a CHALLENGE BLOG with super prizes for the winner, but please dont feel you cant enter the weekly challenge. You DO NOT have to own a WHIMSY STAMP to enter, its open to all. New challenges are every Monday, so why not check out THE WHIMSY CHALLENGE BLOG and see what the latest challenge is this week!

Now its time for you to hop on over to MINDYS blog, who is our Guest Designer. Please make sure that you leave comments on all the blogs to qualify for this fantastic Prize.

Secret Crafter DT - In The Jungle

Hello everyone,
Wow I've had a busy week with the house, but its on the market now. Board went up today and now just a case of sit back and wait. Hopefully being a weekend peeps will be out looking. And as its another Saturday, its your turn to look at the new challenge today from The Secret Crafter. Wendy has come up with a fab theme, "In The Jungle". I instantly new what image to use for this challenge. Denise from Whimsy Stamps was kind enough to send me some RAK images of this cute little fella (Whimsy Monkey). I've been wanting to colour him for ages and this was just the incentive I needed. The backing paper is from the new Lawrence Lleywelyn Bowen range. I've coloured the monkey with Promarkers and and stipled round the image with Chalk Ink Pads. Added Stickles all over the card and a clear sentiment.

The DT have come up trumps again and remember you will be entered into the Monthly Draw for goodies from Wendys Shop!!
So please stop by The Secret Crafter Challenge Blog and lets see your wonderful creations.
Hope to find a bit more crafting time next week, just never seems to be enough hours in the day right now.
Have a lovely weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by!

Inspirational Card Sketches - 1st DT Card

Today is my 1st day as a new DT Member over at Inspirational Card Sketches and what a fab sketch to kick off with. I made his whole card with 1 sheet 12 x 12 Paper and some Bazzill. Its an A5 card which is not my norm but I do like a few large cards amongst my 6 x6's. The image is again "Princess Emma" from Whimsy Stamps, she is newly released so you really need to get over to the Whimsy Shop and see these and the other gorgeous stamps Denise has just launched.

Colured Emma with Promarker for the skin & then Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and Sansador, went over random parts with a Promarker after the pencils, I normally use pencils ontop to shade but this really brings the pigment out of the pencil. The house, dragonfly and heart are buttons from "Dress It up" and the text "Dream" is S/A felt letters. Swirl and leaf punches and a couple of mixed flowers from stash. Part of Emm'a dress has had "Gold Smooch" painted on. I just love smooches and the cute little bottles they come in. Got all 8 now, just waiting for them to bring out a pink. Anyway, please come and support me in my new role and play along with this weeks sketch if possible, you could win a prize and we all love free stash dont we!!!!!
Apologies, I have not been blog hopping so much over the last few days. I blame the sunshine myself but all downhill from tomorrow so no excuses aye.

Whimsy Sneak Peak and Challenge Card

Whimsy Stamps have some new releases coming out on the 1st June and this is a sneak peak of "Princess Emma", isn't she adorable!!!
I've coloured Emma with Copic Markers and Derwent Coloursoft Pencils, blended with a Paper Stump and Sansodor. I've added Gold Smooch to her Bodice and Wand, these paints are brilliant!! The papers are K & Co and I have also used these with the Retro Flower Punch. The scrabble tiles I found amongst my stash the other day when decluttering, not all rubbish then LOL. Made the dangling charm myself and attached to the flower with a brad. Lace from stash and leaves done with L-Em Punch. Added a few pearls which meets this weeks ABC challenge which Whimsy are sponsoring and also meets challenges at Creative Card Crew (Pretty Flowers) and Spoonful Of Sugar (Lace).

Do pop over and have a look in the Whimsy Shop, the stamps are beautiful, and remember to pop back on the 1st June when you will be able to get your hands on "Princess Emma". Whimsy Stamps have been having "Sneak Peaks" all this week so have a look what the other DT's have been posting.
Remember Whimsy Stamps also have a challenge blog and you do not have to use their stamps to take part. HERE
Back tomorrow with my Secret Crafter DT card.  Have a lovely day and enjoy your crafting.
Thanks for Looking

Multi Challenge Card/DT's

Hello everyone, this is one of my new stamps I recieved from the lovely Denise at Whimsy stamps. I'm working my way through them and this is the 3rd one I have now inked up. He's called "Baseball Connor" and can be purchased from The Whimsy Stamp Shop. I've coloured Connor with Copics and Prisma Pencils, then edged with Fluid Chalk ink Pads. The sketch I followed for this card is PaperTake Weekly, a great sketch Dawn. The papers are all from the Bearly Mine Extreme Vol 1 & Vol 2. The insert has been created using the new Designer Inserts Extreme. All available from Bearly Mine Designs. I've distressed all the papers and again gone around with a green ink pad. The sentiment is computer generated and this will be going to my FIL for Fathers Day. Not like me to get stuff done in advance but I am so busy with my crafting nowadays, thought I's strike while the kettles hot so to speak. My card also meets a few other challenges this week and Whimsy Stamps are sponsoring one, so if you'd like to be in with a chance, get yourselves over to Spoonful Of Sugar who are celebrating their 1st Birthday and their theme is "Celebration". The final Challenge is Simon Says Stamps and this weeks challenge is "A Boys Card". This has been sponsored by Bearly Mine Designs and you could win the Designer Extreme Vol 1 that I have used on this card. So please take a look at the challenges as there as some great prizes up for grabs.

The inserts are all stunning and there is a great variety. You can add text to them like I have done here!

I've added an EBay link to the top of my sidebar. I have been going through my stash and would like to rehome some of it. Alot more to be added, so keep checking.  Am also putting some of my cards there as well, you never know lol.
Thanks for looking, few chores to be done then another DT card, am I obsessed???????

Inspirational Sketch/Whimsy/ My Time To Craft/DT Card

Another multi challenge card. My initial intention was to use my DT stamps and papers from Whimsy Stamps and Bearly Mine Designs. I took the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches. "Rainy Day Emma" from Whimsy Stamps was paper pieced from free papers from a magazine, so is the pink strip down the side. All of the other papers on this card are from the new Designer Exreme Vol 2, paper CD from Bearly Mine Designs. The papers are stunning and I love the little extra's Donna has put on. See the little "Things To Do" list I have created, thats on the disc to, I just resized and added my own text. Coloured Emma with Promarkers and added flowers and gems from Stash. Sorry about the picture quality, its very dark here today. This also fits in with the Whimsy Stamp Challenge blog, theme being flowers. You dont have to use a Whimsy stamp to play along either, so go take a look at the current challenge and see what fab creations the DT have come up with. My Time to Craft have a "Kids Kards" theme so am also entering into that one to!
Edited this bit, weathermen have changed their minds from wind, rain and thunder to dry but very gloomy.
Garden could have done with a drop of water though.
Thanks for look......

Whimsy DT/Papertake Weekly & Crafty Muse

This is my first DT card For Whimsy Stamps. I used "Pajama Time Emma" which I think is just the sweetest image ever!
Coloured with Copics and Prismacolour Pencils. I went for an orange theme to match the gorgeous BG "Mellow" papers I have used and followed a Fab Sketch from Dawny over at Papertake Weekly. This also fits in with this weeks Crafty Muse Challenge which is "Spots.

Denise has a fantastic range of stamps, you can see them in her SHOP and more new releases out soon. I would highly recommend "Pajama Time Emma", she makes the most gorgeous card and has to be a hit with the kids.
Thanks for looking!
