Last week the local post office agreed to let me stock some of my cards in their village shop. So was planning a busy weekend of inserts and bagging up but when I picked Zoe up from school on Friday she was feeling unwell. By 5pm she was asleep on the sofa and later at night a temp of 38.4. I had a really bad night and by saturday her temp was up to 39.3. I would usually put this down to a kids virus, after 3 children you get a feel of how serious it is. But with Swine Flu around and her symptoms, of the high temp, mild cough, runny nose, headache and the amount of sleeping she has done, went on the Pandemic Website. It came up with a yes and we were given an authorisation code for Tamiflu which we have collected. She is still quite ill today but I have not given the Tamiflu as yet. Side effects are sickness but she's coping and fighting the virus herself so am holding off.
Anyway, back to this card. I watercoloured the image last week with Marvy Le Plume pens. I haven't used these in years but was looking for a different tecnique. The papers are Forever Friends (santa's on his way). Snowflakes are a punch and have coloured with Shimmerz and Glimmer Mists. MS Snowflake punch, Lace and scallop die cut out on my MM Slice. This card fits in with a few challenges today, Winter Wonderland, Forever Friends, Our Creative Corner (gone with the film ELF) & Crazy 4 Challenge.
Am hoping to find some time today to blog hop, but have a roast to cook and am backwards and forwards with Zoe. The Nurofen works well and keeps her temperature down but I still like to give her lots of TLC.
Thanks for looking!!

My annual plea for Daniel. Daniel is 12 on the 7th November and is on the Autistic Spectrum. He doesn't socialize and loves recieving your handmade cards. As most will know, for the last 2 years I have asked if some of you could send a card for him to open and the response has been overwhelming. He recieving nearly 100 last year. I think he enjoys this more than the presents. Love watching his face light up. He started a boarding school for Autistic Children in Sept and although he misses home, is slowly settling in and we do get him back every weekend. So if you could help, I'd truly appreciate it.
