Fathers Day Card

Today I finally found a bit of time to do some crafting and thought I'd best get my hubby's Fathers Day card done for the kids. I used the sketch from this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge.
The Image is WOF, then masked it and used the Tree Stump from Magnolia. Coloured with Polycolour Pencils and Sansador.
Papers are MME, Laundry Line. Used the alphabet MS Punch. Edged with Green Chalk Ink Pad and used a corner punch and jewels. The tag is Tim Holtz.

This card also fits in with the following challenges;

Tellens Place - Fathers Day
Lexi's Creations - Some Old (Both stamps go way back)
Incy Wincy Designs - One for the Guys
Cupcake Craft Challenge - One for the Boys
Simple Doodles - Just 4 You Dad
Stamptacular - A Tribute to all Fathers
Magical Crafts - Something for a Male/Fathers Day
Creative Craft Challenge - For the man in your Life

OCC - Gotcha Cornered
Alphabet Challenge - G for Green
Paper Cutz - Fathers Day
A Crafty Little Place - One for the Boys
CRAFT Challenge - Fathers Day/Mens Cards
Crafts and Me - Friends & Family
I chose not to over embellish the card, think the words say it all.

Thanks for looking!

WOJ and other challenges!

I have not entered a WOJ challenge for a very long time, but after receiving my new stamps I just had to play along with this weeks sketch. Think this is one of my favourite christmas stamps right now. I had so much fun colouring it. Last night I stamped some images and had a few hours just colouring. I love using my Copics but adding Pencil to them really makes a difference so I used Copics and a Mix of Prisma's and Derwent Coloursoft, blending with Sansador. Just love the overall effect. A little more time consuming but worth the effort imo.
The papers are BG Eskimo Kisses and the Sentiment is also WOJ. The flowers have sparkle and I have used a red Spica Pen for the baubles on the tree (not showing very well).

This card also fits in with a few other challenges and alot are chistmas themed so no surprises there!

Here are the other challenges, a great mix and I had alotta fun;

Taken a few piccies. The sun is shining today but I think it may be a bit too bright - LOL
Thanks for looking, the weekend is here, Christmas Tree going up tomorrow and I really need to get prepared for Christmas. Coming round way to quick again.
Have a great weekend and thanks for taking the time to have a look at my card!

Secret Crafter DT Card - 3,2,1

The first week of the school holidays is now behind us and it has gone really quick. The birthdays are all out of the way so should be more crafting time for me this week. Todays new challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is a recipe of 3 Buttons, 2 Papers and 1 Ribbon. Now I have to confess to using 3 papers on this card. I misread the challenge but it does cover the 2 so hoping no slapped wrists for me this time LOL. I have used WOJ and coloured her with Copics and added lots of Crystal Stickles. Stamped a border and edged with Chalk Inks. I have added 3 buttons over the lace and added a flower to each one. Gold Ribbon and papers from Basic Grey.

I dont think I have used this colour combo before, different but its nice to play with other colours to. I hope you can join us in this weeks challenge. Remember all who take part in the challenge get put into the monthly prize draw, and do stop by and see what gorgeous cards my other DT buddies have come up with. Please do go see what lovely creations my fellow DT have come up with and hope you can play along this week.
Another viewing today, so hoping hubby is going to get the kids out of the way as I only have a few hrs before they view and I have not started the chores yet. Weathers looking good after yesterdays rain and thunder so I think BBQ is on the menu today. Have a lovely weekend and please feel free to enter my blog candy!

Secret Crafter DT Card - ICS/PTW

This weeks challenge at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has been set by my blogging buddie Donna, She has chosen the theme of "Pink & Turquoise with a Hint of Brown". Thought this was going to be an easy combo but looking threw my realms of papers had a hard job matching the turquoise so done the best I could and this is what I came up with. The image is from my new WOJ Summer Set. Coloured her with Promarkers and Prisma/Derwent Pencils. Used my stipple brush again around the image, love using this to shade the card and mixing colours is easy. Not sure what the papers are, got a draw labelled "Bits", but there are alot of bits in there, good to use up scraps instead of wasting. Used El-M and MS punches and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Ribbon, pearls and dragonfly from stash.

I based this cards on the sketch from this weeks ICS. Next week I start my new DT post with the challenge blog and cant wait, some great sketches are on there way! And am also entering this into Papertake Weekly where they want you to use scraps on the card.
Dont forget to take a look at what the other DT's have made, wonderful cards/projects as always.
Enjoy what looks like a glorious weekend here in England and be back soon with another post

Whiff Of Joy Challenge

This weeks WOJ Challenge is a fantastic sketch by Donalda. I'm not even sure if I've taken part in this challenge before, dont know why, I own enough WOJ Stamps. This is one of their latest releases. She's been coloured with Distress ReInkers apart from the Wings and Hairband. I got my SU Classic Ink Pads yesterday and had to try them out so incorporated them into this card to. The papers are BG "Porcelain". All embellishments are K & Co. Brown Bazzill cardstock and papers edged with Rich Cocoa Memento Ink pad.

Hope you like my card and if you haven't tried watercolouring with ReInkers, then you should!!!

Dutchdare Challenge

This week challenge over at Dutch Dare is to use Scallops on your project. I have used my WOJ stamp again and coloured her with Promarkers. I found the papers amongst my stash, think they may be from English Stamp company but could be wrong. The scallop border was made using my SU Punch. I added Crystal Stickles to the card and highlighted the tree's but I dont think the photo captures this very well. You will see it better if you click on the photo for an enlargement. Sentiment is a download and used the SU Scallop Circle Punch. Snowflakes cut on the Cricut and added Liquid Pearls to the centre. Busy day today so dont think I'll be able to craft till later on but went made last night, and made quite a few. Will post soon.

WOJ - Snuggle up!

You'll have to excuse the picture quality on this card, its pouring with rain and very dark, even though I took it at 2pm! The stamps are WOJ. The chair was stamped direct onto BG paper and cut out. I coloured the girl with Promarkers and then added her to the chair. The fireplace was cut on my Cricut using the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. The mugs on the fireplace were also from the same cartridge. I've spritzed the mantelpiece with Gold Glimer mists. Sentiment done on my computer and punched with SU punches.

Whiff of Joy/Dutch Dare

Got to play with one of my new stamps and just love the image. Think I've 8 or 9 WOJ stamps now, postie bought me more High Hopes from America Yesterday and Prima flowers from QVC. I could just sit and play all day but being Friday I've a busy day ahead of me so wont get much done today. The image was coloured with Promarkers, adding stickles for a bit of christmas sparkle. The papers are Papermania. It was only by chance the paper had Rudolph down the side, quite coincidental!!!! Added some flowers, brads and snowflake brad. This cards is going into the challenges at Whiff of Joy, which is a sketch this week and have to say I really liked it, and Dutch Dare which is "Christmas Card', think I got that one covered. Off to get the kids ready fro school, have a great Friday!
