Dream Valley DT Card.

Hello again, hope its not too cold or windy where you are. A great excuse to stay indoors and do some crafting, or so I thought. My Zoe woke with a sore throat and headache. Now cant hold down any food or water and has slept on and off most of the day. She also has a temperature of 102, so guess who wont be at school tomorrow and I have to be up at 6am to get Daniel off to school. Think matchstix will be needed tonight -eek.
Between her and the dog, I've had a right old week lol.

Today we see a new challenge over at the Dream Valley Challenge Blog. Our last challenge had over 5oo entries, thankyou so much to those who entered. This fortnights theme is
"Animals".
Now I must confess I'd totally forgotten about these stamps. I have a draw full of them, so thought it was about time I put at least one of them to use. This is "Humphreys Corner Birthday Girl"  from Crafters Companion . Her dress has been paper pieced and the rest coloured with Promarkers.
I have so many dies that I just dont use, so got my bigshot out and had a cutting session, then yesterday tidied and resorted my craftroom. A bit more organised, well for the moment anyway.

Do you like my little birdnest?? I was fumbing with a bit if cheesecloth at the time, couldn't decide where to put it and this is what I came up with. Frayed the edges and rubbed over with a chalk ink pad. The papers used are Basic Grey Sweet Thread,  other items are Crystal Stickles, Viva Pearl Pen, White Souffle Pen and lots of various flowers, punches and dies.

Well thats enough of my waffle today. We's love to see you over at the Dream Valley Challenge and this weeks prize is a Surprise Parcel.

Anya Easel Card

This is card I made just for fun. Just me playing with my stash although it does fit in with a challenge. I love making these Easel Cards, so simple and really stand out. I paper pieced Anya and coloured with Promarkers. The papers are BG Indian Summer and the dies and "Mum" were cut out on my MM Slice. Handmade the flower using the Retro Punches. All other bits from stash. This card fits in with the new Crafty Calendar Challenge which has an Autumn Theme.

Well the weekend is upon us and Zoe breaks up today. Jessica and Daniel have already been off a week but at least I get 1 week of no school runs.

My candy is coming together nicely. Just waiting for a few more bits to arrive. There is going to be lots of stamps, (loose tongue now, Anya, Kraftin Kimmies ) _OOPS!!! and lots of other bits and bobs for your craftroom. Hopefully get it on my blog early next week.

I haven't posted my annual plea for Daniel. Daniel is 12 on the 7th November and is on the Autistic Spectrum. he doesn't socialize and loves recieving your handmade cards. As most will know, for the last 2 years I have asked if some of you could send a card for him to open and the response has been overwhelming. He recieving nearly 100 last year. I think he enjoys this more than the presents. Love watching his face light up. He started a boarding school for Autistic Children in Sept and although he misses home, is slowly settling in and we do get him back every weekend. So if you could help, I'd truly appreciate it.
(My email is on my profile at bottom of page)

Now I need to get ontop of the chores and am hoping to make another card today.
Thats all for now, thanks for looking.

INSPIRATIONAL Card Sketches -DT Card

Hello everyone. Back to blogging and thoroughly enjoyed making this card for this weeks challenge over at ICS. A fantastic sketch for you to follow, hope you enjoy this one!
I used my new "Rain, Snow, Shine" - Anya Set from Tracy at Dies to Die For, she offers a fantastic service and her shop is well informed.

I chose to paper piece my Anya. All papers are Basic Grey "Sugared". The puddle and sentiment are both WOJ and all the detail has been coloured with Copics. Flowers are a mix from my stash and the border is a Martha Stewart punch. I coloured all the edges with a pink ind pad, just to give it some depth.

The insert is from my most used disc, "Designer Inserts Extreme". I love these inserts but I say that everytime I use it. You can see more details about this and the other discs available at the Bearly Mine Designs Shop. Hope you can play along with this weeks sketch, its a good'un and I just love sketches, especially when your mojo is on a go slow. Its great to see so many interpritations and we'd love it of you could join in to!

EveryBody Art/Colour Create/Cute Card Thursday and Pink Elephant

Another blustery day here so chose to stay in and finish this card from last night. This card is for a blogging buddies daughter who has Cystic Fibrosis an has not been well recently so thought I'd do my bit to cheer her up,. She's not registered with Post Pals but is just as deserving so am sending this card to Abbie (Lyndseys Daughter) as part of Cute Cards Thursday's request "Happy Mail". Chose to use a Gorjuss and have paper pieced her using digi download paper collection from Sweet Shoppe Designs.I based the colours on this weeks Colour Create which is Green/Blue, Pink Elephant which is 2 Blue/Green/White and Everybody Art "Friends & Family". I've stippled around the image again, really enjoying this atm and added some swirls for pattern. The sentiment was computer generated and used my SU punches. Retro punch for the flower and a piece of lace from stash. Coloured with Promarkers and added stickles to the flowers on her head. I do hope Abbie likes my card, and hope it puts a smile on her face.
Thanks for looking!

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - DT Piece

Hello everyone, todays challenge over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is "At The Zoo" and has been chosen by the lovely Sue. I instantly new what stamp I was going to use for the challenge, its my ickle elephant from Spiral Whisper. I've not had alot of mojo this week and fancied thinking outside the box so after having a rummage I found a few spare calenders, and a bag of chipboard shapes, so thought another calender be nice as we are only just into 2009. Covered the handbag with paper from DCWV Blossoms and Butterfly Stack and paper pieced my Ellie with another paper from the same pad. The sentiment "Elephants Never Forget" just sprung to mind and thought it appropriate as its all about dates. If you click on the piccie you'll see a closer view. Used my SU punches to punch this out. Flowers from Hero Arts, Skeleton leaves and Rub On from my stash. Hope you like my interpretation, please go check out what the other DT members have made this week, and hopefully you'll be able to join us in this weeks challenge! Thanks for looking.

Funky Fairy Challenge/Aunty's Team Challenge

This has to be my favourite piece so far, I've never altered a clipboard before and am thrilled with the results! Even took it into my garden to taken a photo. This fits 2 challenges this week, the first is at Funky Fairy which is Paper piecing and the 2nd is a team challenge over at Aunty's Forum. I painted the clipboard with Acrylic paint and covered with paper from DCWV everyday stack. I used a Tilda which was paper pieced and coloured her wings and boots with copics. The house was stamped directly onto paper and embossed and then coloured with Souffle pens and permanent markers. The tree was paper pieced and the rug stamped directly onto patterned paper. The birds were coloured with copics. I've added 2 riibons and 2 bttons to fit in with Aunty's challenge. Remember to click on the piccie for a closer view.

"Emmy"

"Emmy" (cuddly buddly stamp) has to be one of my favourite stamps at the moment. She looks great however she's used. I have again paper pieced her on this card. The image is quite simple to cut out and its nice to dress her up! I've paper pieced her outfit and coloured her with prismacolours and sansador. Her skin was coloured with a copic marker, this was the only one I had before I went and bought a whole load of them. The backing paper is Making Memories and used Bazzill Cardstock which I have punched with a empuncher. Have added a flower, brad and a gingham bow. Hopefully its going to be a sunny saturday, I really need to think about getting in the garden, shrubs are starting to grow and if I dont get out there and prune a few things, it will start to take over!! Have a lovely weekend.

"Emmy" - Challenge CMUTD

This is "Emmy" a new stamp from "Cuddly Buddly". I tried paper piecing for the 1st time and am really pleased with the way she turned out. I used papers from Doodlin Daisies and pink Bazzill cardstock. The backing paper and another coordinating was used to piece the stamp which is quite simply stamping design onto paper, cutting it out and using to dress. The heart tag stamp is from Magnolia and have coloured and 3D'd the smallest heart. I Have added buttons on top of adhesive ribbon and a ribbon bow which fits this weeks challenge at `'CMUTD" and added a rub on sentiment. Colouring was with Sansador and Prisma pencils.
