I have to say I was pretty excited about posting this card. Its a long time since I got my Prisma Pencils out and I've never shaded to this extreme before but have to say I've even impressed myself on this one. Now I'm as much a Prisma novice as the next but I love the way the dress has turned out. I used 5 or 6 shades of red on this and I'll tell you how I did it. Am sure there are more qualified crafters out there than me but we've all got to start somewhere and if it helps then I'm happy!. Basically I started with the lighest shade adding the most colour around around the edges then blended inwards. What I mean is I used circular motions on the cardstock but bigger circles so adding more pencil to the cardstock. Then as I worked my way down through the colours I added less and didn't blend in as much. I found the with the deepest colour which is last, I just had to work it a little. Trying to make it sound simple. Just keep going over and touching up till your happy with the results. I'm sure someone will tell me I'm doing it all wrong, LOL!!! This gorgeous stamp is from Motivet and its called "Doraline holding a ladybug". Isn't it the cutest!
I used Prima Paper and Nesties for the die. Flowers are Prima and all the other bits are from stash. I'm entering this card into this weeks Spoonful of Sugar (buttons) and Papertake Weekly (Animals). I've bought a few of these gorgeous stamps from Motivet and can highly recommend the,. she also offers a great international service.
Need to get on with a few DT cards and will be out of the house during the day tomorrow, so please leave a comment to let me know you have visited and I'll try and get an 1hrs blog hop in later this evening!
Thanks for looking
