Another LOTV Sneak Peak!!!

(Firstly apologise for dark photo, its pitch black here but I was too impatient to wait till morning)

Here is another sneak Peak of one of the new stamps due to be launched at LOTV. Now I have to be honest, this was supposed to be my DT card for Thursdays new LOTV Challenge, but I got so engrossed in what I was doing, the challenge went totally out of the window - LOL. So this is a card I made for fun with no challenges in mind. The papers are BG Lemonade, I followed the sketch from the Sugar Bowl the other week. Think this is a firm favourite. I've coloured her with Promarkers and added Shimmerz Paints. The dies are various cut on my Cricut and the sentiment is from Butterfly Kisses that I bought from Ally Pally last year but had yet to use.

Now I have a DT card to be getting on with this evening. Hope my mojo stays in tact! Dont want to go out anyway, the weather is rotten.
Wishing you all a cosy evening!

Secret Crafter DT Card and My Exciting News!!!!

Here is my DT card for this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. This weeks theme has been set by the lovely Jane and the challenge is "Favourite Colour". This was not as easy as it first sound. Whats my favourite colour? Well in the world of crafting, I love them all so I lay some sheets of Bazzill out on the table and went with what appealed to me most. PURPLE, and below is the result. I haven't made that many shaped cards before but been trying to use my Cricut a bit more so using my "Storybook" cartridge cut out a few sized matts and layered them up. Punched 2 holes with my Cropodile and tied with lilac ribbon. the stamp is RAM and have coloured with Copics. I've edged one matt with a silver encore inkpad and another has been randomly stamped with a P/Imp stamp. I used the blender pen quite alot on this image, just trying different things out. I've still to add a sentiment but not sure what its for so will put on at a later date.

This card also fits in with some other challenges, Spoonful of Sugar which is Gems. I have put 15 on!!!. Artygirlz, stamping (and their last challenge -boohoo) and Creative Card Crew - No Patterned Paper.
************************
And now my exciting news - I have been picked for the new DESIGN TEAM over at the Cupcake Craft Challenge. Wow, think there were 56 applications and lucky old me got picked. Good excuse to make more cards and new supplies will always come in handy LOL. Dont start till April but cant wait and am as pleased as punch! So on that note I'd like to thank so many of you for being regulars to my blog. To think back as to what I was making a year or so ago is ghastly, Peel offs, Marvy Le Plumes and all those kits. How times have changed and all for the better. Thankyou for taking the time to read my post and please do try and join us with this weeks Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge. Have a fab weekend, will post again tomorrow.

Friday Sketcher using Bearly Mine Designs

Not only is this my card using the new stamps and freebie papers launched today from Bearly Mine Designs, this card is also for Edward (angeldrummers son). She asked if we could sent him a good luck card as he has just started school. Well I'm a bit late but am sure Edward will be thrilled with another card in the post. Meet "Elvin" one of the cute characters from the set. He's been coloured with Copics and Diamond Glaze. The large bp is BG Marrakech and thye other is the freebie papers you will receive when you order the full set of stamps. Matted and layered on a Navy Bazzill Cardstock. The wording has been cut on my Cricut using the "Storybook" Cartridge. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, loving these at the moment.
This is my 1st day by myself for over 3 weeks. We've had a bit of bother with Daniels schooling so I've not been posting or blog hopping as much as I would have liked, but pleased to say Daniel started a new school yesterday and had a good day, so hopefully its sorted now. I'm gonna enjoy the peace and quiet before the school run and may even make another card!! Have a lovely and keep crafting

Everybody Art Challenge

This card is a take of this weeks sketch at the Everybody Art Challenge. A great sketch and really enjoyed the challenge with this one. Papers are Basic Grey, image is WOJ and coloured with Promarkers. The frame was cut on my Cricut with the "Storybook" cartridge. I've added crystal stickles all around the frame to highlight. Flowers and leaves are Prima and the sentiment is Magnolia. Scalloped edge done with the SU border Punch. Sorry the picture isn't brilliant, I am really struggling to get a great piccie at the moment.
On another note, went back to the dentist for the last of my treatment. Spent 1 hr 10 mins in the chair having my root canal finished off but he's done a good job and its all over now. Am off now to make a start on a little project in mind, take care!

"Tilda with Rose" - Dutchdare

This card is for this weeks DutchDare Challenge which is to use 3 flowers on your card. Its the first time I've used this stamp and my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge, and both have the Wow factor. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansodor. The backing paper on the card is the new download from Making Handmade Cards. I cut out the piece above the image and the trelis with my Storybook cartridge, I think this is one of my favourite cartridges now as it has great elements on it! Other products used SU Scallop Punch, Ticket Stamps, Prima Flowers and brads.
Sorry for being a bad blogger lately. What with loosing my connection and been generally busy with other things, crafting seems to have taken a back seat though I would really like to get back ontop of it now! Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up with you soon!!

WOJ - Snuggle up!

You'll have to excuse the picture quality on this card, its pouring with rain and very dark, even though I took it at 2pm! The stamps are WOJ. The chair was stamped direct onto BG paper and cut out. I coloured the girl with Promarkers and then added her to the chair. The fireplace was cut on my Cricut using the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. The mugs on the fireplace were also from the same cartridge. I've spritzed the mantelpiece with Gold Glimer mists. Sentiment done on my computer and punched with SU punches.

My Time to Craft/Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Got delivery of my new Elzybells Stamps so thought I would make this card to fit both challenges at My time to Craft which is Blue and over at CCT this weeks theme is Sparkle. I covered a 6 x 6 squ card with Dovecraft paper. Cut out 3 scallop tags on my Cricut and layered snow mesh in between. The image is "Juggling Eskimo" and my card has also being placed in the Elzybells Blog Gallery which is very exciting for me as I'm not exactly a headliner!!! I coloured the image with Copics and added buttons from papermania and lots of sparkle to the card. Sentiment also Elzybells. If I can get a better piccie over the weekend I will change it, this ones a bit dark!

Dog House

Heres another house I have to make for the swap of 10. This is No 3. I found the backing paper 1st (Karen Foster) which is of course dog themed and that set the style of house I was going to make as at the time I really wasnt sure what to do. The stamp (Stamposaurus) was coloured with sandstone Promarker and a puffy velvet pen which you heat to set. The word "Woof" are velvet stickers and the word "Ruff" was cut out on my Cricut along with the gold leaves. Edged the house with a copper galaxy marker and stuck a spare bone in the chimney. Now I need to think what to do with house No 4!!!! BTW, the easel is something I got from Craft Central today, thought it would be good for the piccies!!

Used Micra Pearl paper down the side and empunched and added 3 flowers. Havent made anything else today, spent 5 hours gutting out sorting Zoes bedroom and another 2 redoing my wardrobe. Just hope Zoe keeps it tidy if only for a day! Will be crafting again this evening, thing I deserve a rest. Have a good weekend.

This is a card I made for a forum friend who's just had her birthday. I used my "Base Camp" cartridge on my Cricut and used bazzill cardstock in yellow with a black shadow. I then edged the letters with a yellow sakura pen to give a glittered look. The paper was from DaisyD's and have stamped "Happy Birthday" onto it. I used a scallop blade to cut the backing papers and cardstock. I hope you liked you card Bee.....

Sunday Stamper/Forum Challenge Card

THis card fits 2 challenges this week. The Sunday Stamper was the colour "Green" and the challenge this week at Just Bex was to use Circles or Dots on the card, so have combined the two. The papers on the the card are DCWV "Winter Stack". The bird and flower stamp on the card are from the new Laura Ashley range and the stamp on the heart is unknown I'm afraid. Thats the only thing I do not like about clear stamps, at least with the wooden blocks, the manufacturer is printed on it. The heart was die cut with my Cricut. I went around the edge of the card with Tim Holtz Crackle paint in Frayed Burlap and rubbed over with a gold "Galaxy Marker" pen, which was also used to highlight some detail on the stamp. Usually associate green with christmas cards, so made a nice change! Food shop to do today but hoping to craft for an 1 hour if possible. 2 of my children break up today, but the other one will still be at school, which means no lay ins for me. Have a nice weekend!

Garden Gate Card

Sorry, but I love this card. I was trying out my new Garden gate set of stamps from QVC. I just stamped 1 image onto white card with a Tim Holtz Distress ink pad just to see what it looked like. Then decided to cut it out. I can be quite an impulse crafter, when I sit to craft the idea's dont always come but in this instance I wasn't intending on making a card, it sort of just happened.
I used an A5 Grid card and rubbed the distressed ink pad over the card and the image. I cut a fence with my cricut. Stamped some floral detail onto card and onto the gate. Glued the fence to card, used foam pads for the gate. Added some stickles to the flower buds on the gate and added lots of Prima flowers. Distressed a piece of card and stamped "Happy Birthday" and added a bow to finish! The photo is a bit dull and looks so much nicer for real.

"Inspired By" Christmas cards

I was recently reading through my latest addition of Papercraft Inspirations when come across a card that really stood out. I have interpreted them in my own way. Used Cricut to cut out the Heart Die's. 2 pieces of backing paper from various designers, Holly Leaves from Cricut, Brads,Gingham bow, Primer Flowers,S/Adhesive ribbon and word stamp from See D's set (exepect one which is a sticky word embellishment) to finish off. Love the pink and blue papers and think a heart is something different from the traditional style of card. Loved making these and hope to make many more, some of you may even receive one!!!
