LOTV DT Card & Challenges!!!!

Another week has flown past and we see another new challenge at this weeks LOTV Challenge Blog. The theme this week is Lets G0 Dotty for Circles.
Meet James the Bear, he has been coloured with Prisma Pencils and Odourless Mineral Spirits. Cut with my Nesties and edged with a Gold Adirondaak Dabber. Yep, I'm still hooked on Glimmer Mists and have used lots of the Gold on this card. The papers are V & A and Secret Crafter. SU Punch for the circles and a Marianne Die for the Doily shape behind the image.
I thought while I'm making so many christmas cards at the moment I may as well put one to use and made this from my youngest to her Dad this year. Its going in the suitcase as we have just booked 2 weeks in Mauritius over the Christmas Period. This will be our 3rd Christmas there and we stay at the same resort every time. 2 weeks later, me and hubby are off to Las Vegas for 5 nights. Our house sale had fallen threw and we cancelled our summer holiday to the caribbean so at least now we have something to look forward to!

Anyway, I do hope you can join in with this weeks challenge, the rest of the DT have gorgeous examples and we'd love to stop by your blog and see what you've made.

Heres my usual list of challenges for this card;

Crazy Challenge - Never to early for Christmas Cards
Sew Many Challenge - Christmas in August
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in August
One Stitch at a Time - Say it with Shapes
Ellephantastic Challenge - Male Card or Project
Simple Doodles - Come On, Lets Celebrate

And Heres a Top 3 Award I've just received!

Thanks for stopping.
Happy Crafting!

LOTV DT Card

Oops, I thought I had this preposted, but it was still in drafts. I decided to pamper myself seeings as the kids are off for 2 weeks. First stop the Nail Salon followed by a Cut and Blow Dry at the Hairdressers. My idea of heaven.

Notice I just had to use this Sizzix die again. I love these cute LOTV stamps and seeings we have a new challenge for you at the LOTV Challenge Blog, thought I'd be cheeky and use him again.
This week we have a recipe for you. Blue, silver + 1 colour. I've added Gold Liquid Pearls to mine. Again coloured with Copics and papers from Basic Grey. Pretty much the same as my last card, just different colours.

I do hope you can join us at LOTV Challenge Blog. The rest of the DT have come up trumps again and these stamps seem to be going from strength to strength. More new releases next month so will try and make a few sneak peaks.

Now back to reality and chores to be done. Trying to catch up with all the blogs and am sure to be hopping again tonight.

Lili Of The Valley DT/Animals + Challenges

Good morning everyone, a lovely warm day here and another challenge from Lili Of The valley.

This week we would like to see animals on your cards, and please remember, you DO NOT haver to use LOTV products to enter this challenge, any image is welcome.

This image is a RAK that was kindly sent to me from Denise at Whimsy Stamps. Whimsy Stamps have a fantastic range of stamps and the animal collection is one of the best. I got delivery of my SU Watercolour Crayons the other day so thought they would be great to try out. The cardstock wasn't the best for the crayons but I done my best and think my lion looks pretty cool! The papers are The English Paper Company and the sentiment and circles are all SU. Distressed the paper edge with a chalk ink pad and added some faux stitching.

The rest of my DT friends have some lovely examples for you to see, and we do hope that you can join in this week. I also believe there is a little something for the winner for this challenge

This card also fits into 3 challenges this week;

Stamp With Fun - Shapes/Punches

Have a lovely day!

Stampin For The Weekend DT- Challenge 2 - "Going Digital"

Hello everyone,
As you can see the camera landed safely and is back in my hands where it belongs. And above is the photo for my DT card for this weeks challenge over at SFTW.
My image is "Sleepy Bear" from Dustin Pike and I have coloured with a mix of Promarkers. I forgot I had a daytime lamp, dont really use it but as it was nearly midnight when I uploaded this, thought I'd give it a go, and YAY, it worked a treat. No more rushing in the mornings trying to get 1st light anymore.

This weeks theme is called "Going Digital" and we would like to see a digi image on your card. Our sponsor for this challenge is Dustin Pike.

The prize being offered is 2 or 3 digi stamps of the winner's choice from Dustin's shop

We also have a guest designer for the next two weeks, the lovely Sandie . Please do take a look at her wonderful blog and dont forget the wonderful creations the other DT's for SFTW have come up with.
I do hope you can join in with this weeks challenge. Last weeks was a roaring success and Mr Linky certainly kept us busy and we love it!!

This week we were given a digi image to play with from Whimsie Doodles, and you can also get a free image. Pop on over to the Challenge Blog for more details. This is what I've named"Tommy The Turtle" and he is just the cutest. I have coloured him with Prisma Pencils, Sansador and Paper Stumps. The papers are a mix of SU and BG. Various flowers from stash and my Martha Stewart Punch. I've used an insert from the "Designer Inserts Extreme" disc available at Bearly Mine designs and added my own text.
Please do come join in with us this week over at ICS, a super sketch to work with and the rest of the DT have stunning creations for you to see.

Our house went on the market yesterday so fingers crossed we got lots of viewings and sell quickly. The HIP is being done today and we have the tree surgeons in, dead wooding a large oak tree in the back of our garden.

Apologies if I've not been to visit but struggling to find any spare time at the minute.
Hope everyone is well and will try and get to visit soon!

LOTV - DT Piece - More Exciting News!

A big hello to you all. Hope you are ready for another weeks challenge over at the the Lili Of The Valley. This weeks theme is "Summer Fun". A pretty open challenge in my opinion but alot of fun. Perfect, considering the weather we have had here in the UK.

Now I strayed a liitle this week. LOTV is preliminary a card challenge blog but other work can be submitted so hoping with me straying a bit, its all OK. This is for a birthday after all (lol). I found this tutorial HERE for the Diaper Pouch and it all seemed to fall into place. The paper is from my scraps draw so dont know who its from, sorry. Image is Pink cat Studio, stamped onto a scallop from SU punch. Coloured with Promarkers. Little bit of stamping in left corner is a Tim Holtz stamp. My poor Tim stamps have been shelved for far too long and I really must try and play with them again soon! Made the dangling charm, and flowers and sentiment from stash. I filled my pouch with a selection of mints and this will be on its travels very soon. Please do pop along and see what the other DT's have been up to. I've really enjoyed my GDT spot at the LOTV, great challenges and the inspiration from the DT is fantastic and guess what, I have been asked to be a permanent member of the design team, so big thanks to Jacqui and the rest of the gang for letting me stay!
Hospital this morning so wont be around till later in the day, but thanks for visiting and please do leave me a comment so I know you've popped in.

Cupcake Craft Challenge DT Card

Good morning everyone, and what a weekend we have had. Summer come early here in England I have the strap marks to prove it. What I love is that hubby does the BBQ's and I use paper plates so less work for me (LOL). Wouldn't it be great if it stayed a while longer!!!
This weeks challenge at CupCake Craft Challenge has been set by Evelina and her chosen theme is "FAIRIES". Had to think what stamp I had that would be suitable but then remembered I had an unused Anya which was perfect. I've coloured her with Promarkers and used papers from Crate Paper. Used El-M punch for the corner and SU punches for the circles, sentiment also SU. Doodled around image and again used my stipple brush, with green & blue chalk ink pads. Ribbon and flower from stash.

The insert is from Bearly Mine Design - Designer Inserts Extreme. If you use square cards, then I cannot recommend this highly enough. The colour and design choices are stunning and they can be resized. You can add your own text which you can of course personalise to suit. I cant live without this CD now and at only £8, well worth the investment. Here is a picture of an insert taken from the CD. I made a Fairy verse to match, which was ideal as I dont have a fairy sentiment in my stash at all. Have to say it is more beautiful IRL.
So please try and join us with this weeks Cupcake Challenge, we'd love it if you could play along. The DT have some fantastic creations for you to see, so pop on over!

I'm also entering this into the Scrappy Frog Challenge which also has a Fairy theme.
Have a great week, kids back at school today and hoping the sun will stay, for a while at least.

Stamp With Us & One Stop Craft Challenge

There is a new chllanege blog out there for all you SU Fans called Stamp with Us and this week its a sketch. I've left my card quite simple and need to add something on Tilda's hand so will do this at a later date. Coloured with Copics and used my new nestabilities. The papers are SU "Summer Picnic & Rose Red". My SU Collection is slowly growing LOL. Flowers are Prima and added a spacer with brad and doodled some stitching around the edge. This card also meets with One Stop Craft Challenge which is Stitching.
Lazy day for me today, hubby is out in the garden repairing a fence and I've a nice long list of things to do if he's interested!!
Have fun whatever your plans,

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This week, Sketch Saturday have come up with a fantastic sketch which I just loved using. I used my new label nesties and stamped image from alota rubber, coloured with promarkers and added gems to the corners. The rubons are BG, flowers from stash and sentiment is SU along with the punches. The papers are Crate Paper, which are double sided. Already started another card with this sketch and am sure to use it again in the future. On another note, I received my MM Slice today. Postie was kind enough to leave it on my porch as I was out, he knows how I dont like waiting for new stash to arrive. Well, what can I say. Easy peasy, very simple set up and easy to use. I didn't like the idea of faffing around with putting the adhesive on the glass mat and waiting to dry so cheated and use my Crafters Companion repostionable spray. I only cut a few pieces just to test really but had no problems with the spray and the blade seemed fine, so may stick with this and see how it goes. Also received the Noteworthy cartridge as well. In comparison to the Cricut, the cartridges do not have half the amount on and I feel at around £32 are a bit pricey but the fact that I can have it sitting near me and its fully portable will make crafting so much easier, just need a few more cartridges as I would love to own some with flourishes.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - DT Card

Donna has come up with a great sketch this week over at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this is my interpretation of the sketch for the DT. Recognise the stamp? Sorry, but couldn't help myself, he's become my best friend this christmas. The papers are BG Wassill. I have used my SU Scallop and Circle Punches and coloured image with RED sakura pen and Vanilla Promarker though I dont think this shows very well on the photo. The Mistletoe is Making Memories. Hope you can spare a few moments to take a look at other DT'S cards and if you've room in I assume a very busy schedule make a card for this weeks challenge.
Well I'm still behind with my crafting and need to get cards out in the post over the next few days to make way for the suitcases. Only 8 days till Mauritius and am now very excited! So apologies of I've not been to visit but I've a very busy week ahead of me and with any luck, it will go quite quickly! Today is my husbands 40th Birthday, he certainly looks different from when we first met when he was just 18yrs (lol), the kids have a few pressie to give and hoping we will be taking him out later for dinner then back for cake!
Take Care and Happy Crafting

Mojo Monday/Lots to Do/Artygirlz & Stamp Challenge

Yes, its another card using my favourite snowman. Cant get enough if this stamp and its so versatile. Today I have made a 6 x 6 square card which actually covers 4 challenges. Think its a bit easy at the moment as alot of challenges are christmas related. Image stamped and coloured with Promarkers and Red Sakura Pen though the promarkers are not showing up on the scarf, I used "Vanilla" to colour. Papers are BG "Wassill'. The chipboard corner has been spritzed with Gilmmer Mists in both Black/Gold and Gold and sentiment punched with SU Punches. Dont be surprised to see this fella again soon, wont be long now till he's shelved!!!! And here are the links to the 4 challenges, Stamp something - Snow, Lots to Do - Christmas and Artygirlz - Favourite Medium, I just love my Promarkers and the are definitely my favourite medium and had to follow the great sketch over at Mojo Monday

Dutchdare Challenge

This week challenge over at Dutch Dare is to use Scallops on your project. I have used my WOJ stamp again and coloured her with Promarkers. I found the papers amongst my stash, think they may be from English Stamp company but could be wrong. The scallop border was made using my SU Punch. I added Crystal Stickles to the card and highlighted the tree's but I dont think the photo captures this very well. You will see it better if you click on the photo for an enlargement. Sentiment is a download and used the SU Scallop Circle Punch. Snowflakes cut on the Cricut and added Liquid Pearls to the centre. Busy day today so dont think I'll be able to craft till later on but went made last night, and made quite a few. Will post soon.

Everybody Art Challenge

This card is a take of this weeks sketch at the Everybody Art Challenge. A great sketch and really enjoyed the challenge with this one. Papers are Basic Grey, image is WOJ and coloured with Promarkers. The frame was cut on my Cricut with the "Storybook" cartridge. I've added crystal stickles all around the frame to highlight. Flowers and leaves are Prima and the sentiment is Magnolia. Scalloped edge done with the SU border Punch. Sorry the picture isn't brilliant, I am really struggling to get a great piccie at the moment.
On another note, went back to the dentist for the last of my treatment. Spent 1 hr 10 mins in the chair having my root canal finished off but he's done a good job and its all over now. Am off now to make a start on a little project in mind, take care!

"Tilda with Rose" - Dutchdare

This card is for this weeks DutchDare Challenge which is to use 3 flowers on your card. Its the first time I've used this stamp and my new Storybook Cricut Cartridge, and both have the Wow factor. I coloured Tilda with Prisma pencils and Sansodor. The backing paper on the card is the new download from Making Handmade Cards. I cut out the piece above the image and the trelis with my Storybook cartridge, I think this is one of my favourite cartridges now as it has great elements on it! Other products used SU Scallop Punch, Ticket Stamps, Prima Flowers and brads.
Sorry for being a bad blogger lately. What with loosing my connection and been generally busy with other things, crafting seems to have taken a back seat though I would really like to get back ontop of it now! Hope everyone is well and will try and catch up with you soon!!

WOJ - Snuggle up!

You'll have to excuse the picture quality on this card, its pouring with rain and very dark, even though I took it at 2pm! The stamps are WOJ. The chair was stamped direct onto BG paper and cut out. I coloured the girl with Promarkers and then added her to the chair. The fireplace was cut on my Cricut using the Christmas Cheer Cartridge. The mugs on the fireplace were also from the same cartridge. I've spritzed the mantelpiece with Gold Glimer mists. Sentiment done on my computer and punched with SU punches.

Dinkie Dots & Funky Fairy Challenges

Seeings as I seem to be into my Dotties at the moment, I could not help but enter this weeks challenge at Dotties World. This weeks theme is "Black, White and a splash of Colour". I chose pink as I love the backing paper, its a Funky Fairy Download and I think it blends so well on many cards. I printed off Naughty Dottie which you can purchase HERE and coloured in parts with Copics. This card also fits in with The Funky Fairy challenge which again is Black, White and 1 Colour. Other products used were Liquid Pearls, BG Swirl Stamp, SU Sentiment and Punches and Prima Flowers and Black Cardstock. Cant wait to see what next weeks challenges are!!!!

My 1st Dottie/Mojo Monday

Today I decided to download some of the Dottie sets from Charmed Cards and Crafts. I got Christmas and Dress Up Dottie. I am a MAC user so if anyone out there could give me some advice or resizing and printing a better image I would be truly grateful. Spent a good few hours mucking around but this image is still oversized despite the small measurements I put in!!! I used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday. The image has been coloured with Copics and all the papers are from my Cosmo Cricket TSV Which I purchased a few weeks ago. The Sentiment and Circles I cut with my SU punches. I just love these punches, they are great and come in various sizes. The flowers in the top corner are die cut. I used 2 different colours folded the petals over on the top layer and added Gold Liquid Pearls to the Centes. Still trying to work on getting a better piccie. I took this under a daylight bulb but still doesn't look true to colour. I do think a decent photo makes all the difference when posting. Will keep trying, practice makes perfect, ot so they say (lol).

I coloured Hamish with a layer of Copic in a light grey 1st and then went over with Prismas Pencils and Sansodor. Wasn't sure what to do with it next so looked at my forever trustworthy list of challenges and chose this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge which is a new challenge and they have started with a sketch which I really liked! Other products used are my SU Scallop Circle Punch, SU Circle of Friends Sentiment, Ribbon from stash, Bazzill Cardstock and some Glittery Gems. Happy Birthday For tomorrow TJ!!!!!
