Daily News

Yes, I have attempted to make it clear that I have been rather distracted lately—too distracted to post stuff as usual, but it was brought to my attention that this was important. For it is another paid advertisement through [ReviewMe], which would provide some desperately needed revenue for my family.

Besides, I was very impressed with the [Daily News] on [Thoughts.com] from the first glance. For the front page is visually attractive and very easy to navigate.

It is set up like a top newspaper should be—minus having to fight with all of the pages. For the front page has the top news stories clearly displayed, and links to different sections are provided at the top.

Those different sections are Oddly Enough, Politics, Sports, Business, Life, Technology, Top News and Most Popular. As you scroll down the front page, the headlines of the most recently posted stories in each section are displayed.

Oh no, the news does not stand still here. For each section is updated frequently. In fact, the top headline on the front page changed several times just in the amount of time that it took to prepare this piece.

Another quite impressive thing about this [Daily News] site is that it appears to be devoid of any of the political biases that have so tainted news reporting elsewhere. Well, at least that is the way it looked to me, but you might be of a different opinion.

Of course, there is only one way to tell. So, why not go see for yourself? I believe that you will be very glad that you did.

Accoustic Songs On Without A Knife Records

If you are a fairly frequent visitor to this site, you already know that I post a lot about music of all kinds. Well, maybe not about ALL kinds if you want to get technical about it, but you sure can’t accuse me of being narrow-minded when it comes to music.

I must admit, however, that [accoustic songs] hold a special place in my heart. For there is nothing like a mighty electric axe plugged into an amp cranked up to 11 to get the blood a-boilin’, but accoustical music reasonates down to the very core of my being.

Such is what you will hear from Drew Blackard if you would pay a visit to [Without A Knife Records]. The title of the featured EP is a little long for my taste, but there is certainly nothing wrong with the music on Right About Now I’d Like To Move To Austin And Buy A Purple House.

With the adding of each instrument, the intensity builds on the title track. An accordian playing in the background blends well with the lyrics to create an overall haunting sound.

The pace picks up with the short and sweet Fallen Mockingbird. Children of the sixties should really enjoy this song. For it sounds like it could have been written back then.

Swallow My Pride has a much more modern feel to it, but not by much. For the keyboard driven melody keeps things from getting too jiggy.

I Don’t Know is pure bluegrass, and if you don’t love it, I just don’t know what to say. For Chris Blackard on the banjo, Jamie Klang on the fiddle and Fred X on the mandolin made me want to start dancin’ a jig.

I heard echoes of Simon & Garfunkel in I Have An Island, but it still holds its own as a rather unique song. Most definitely a tune to add to a mellow mood.

Yes, this is another paid review through [ReviewMe], but it has been labor of love. If you don’t believe me, please go listen for yourself.

Richter Studios

Richter Studios and their [Video Production Services] has just been brought to my attention, and all I can say is, “WOW!” I mean, “WOW!!

No, I don’t think you are hearing me. Hey, I’m talkin’, “WOW!!!,” here. For it is like a movie studio offering to make commercials for your company.

Come to think of it—they are a movie studio! For they produced [Following Deerpath], which is a documentary about the town of Lake Forest, IL. The following is a trailer to the movie, which should give you a good idea of what they can do for your company:

Too much for you? Well, Richter Studios offer a [wide variety of services]. For from basic photography to interactive web presentations—they can do it all.

Be assured that there are plenty of businesses around here who would benefit greatly from the [expertise] that Richter Studios has to offer. For so many of their commercials are downright awful.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it is said that a product or service will sell itself, but the way it is presented also says a lot. For I am not about to go to a dentist who uses a rip-off of American Idol as the backdrop for an advertisement. Would you?

Yes, I must disclose that this is a paid advertisement through [ReviewMe]. For this is required for payment.

Nonetheless, I am genuinely impressed with Richter Studios. I think you will be too if you go check them out.
