Come Monday...Ed Martin For Congress

“Come Monday…” is a weekly series that will involve a review of, or commentary about, websites, movies, documentaries, television shows, sports, music, and whatever else may tickle my fancy at the time. Be assured that these reviews will be generally positive, as in accordance to the Jimmy Buffett song “Come Monday.” This is subject to change, however. In fact, I would be most derelict in my duties to neglect going on a rant every once in a while. For rants promote change, and change can be good—right? Therefore, since good is generally considered as being a positive force in 99.3% of the parallel universes that I am aware of, even a rant could be considered as being something positive, and a genuine hissy-fit would be even better (so I’m told).

The image above is of [Ed Martin] and his family. Just in case you have never heard of him before, he is running for the [Missouri 3rd Congressional Seat], and I first heard of him while catching part of [Hardball With Chris Matthews] on [MSNBC] one very boring afternoon.

No, there was nothing else on. For there is only so much [Judge Judy] that I can take, and the rest of the channels were not cooperating with their programming selections for my viewing pleasure. This was not a problem before my son showed up and disrupted my daily routine, but I keep being told that he is worth it. Yeah, I suppose I need to get a hold of a few network programming executives, and advise them of the changes that need to be made.

Anyway, I picked right up when I heard what Mr. Matthews had of what Mr. Martin said. Now, I could not secure an embeddable thingamajig from the show, but I think I did find the original sound-bite that was aired on Hardball, which is below.

No, I am not going to say a thing about it beforehand, but I hope to hear from you afterward. Needlessly to say (I hope), I am wondering if you would vote for him if you lived in that district. I am also wondering what you think about what he said, even if you don’t live anywhere near south of St. Louis, MO.

If you would like some more information about Mr. Martin, there appears to be an abundance of it [here], and some more can be found [here]. Please keep your comments at least somewhat civil if what you hear does not agree with what you have had to eat lately.
