Fragrant Friday - Burberry Goddess

Burberry introduces their first-ever refillable fragrance:

A lot of work went into creating this gourmand fragrance - during the process to create the perfect vanilla accord, the precious vanilla was wrapped with notes of bright lavender diva essence from Provence and earthy notes of cocoa and ginger roots, creating an aromatic balance to each vanilla. The Olfactive Pyramid Top: Vanilla Infusion and Lavender; Heart: Vanilla Caviar; Base: Vanilla Absolute. 

It is in one word: yummy! I loves me a vanilla scent and this one is chock-full of vanilla-wonderfulness, obviously sweet but not cheap sweet, elevated sweet like a sultry tropical evening - this is my new fall fragrance for sure!

 

I actually wasn't expecting a sweet fragrance because the bottle is so elegant - with an archive-inspired shape modernised with a gold medallion.

Fragrant Friday - Burberry Her

Introducing the latest scent from Burberry - their first gourmand fragrance with a British twist that is effortlessly stylish, energetic, optimistic, adventurous and bold just like London:

Fragrant Friday - My Burberry Blush

My Burberry Blush - 50ml EDP - $98, 90ml EDP - $130 - a sparkling and intensely feminine fragrance with top notes of glazed pomegranate and vibrant lemon; heart notes of delicate rose petal and crisp apple; and base notes of jasmine and wisteria accord.

The bottle is a pinker, prettier version of the original with a lighter coloured horn-look cap that is feminine and sophisticated. The scent itself is also "pinker", with some lovely fruity notes that keep it from being too floral and add sparkle!

Fragrant Friday - Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum

Burberry introduces the latest chapter in the Mr. Burberry fragrance story - a deeper, more sensual interpretation of the iconic Mr. Burberry Eau de Toilette:

Mr. Burberry Eau de Parfum - 50ml - $85, 100ml - $110, 150ml - $145 - a warm sensual and woody fragrance that fuses the classic scents of British male perfumery with aromatic top notes of tarragon and spicy cinnamon; a heart of rich patchouli; and a dense, woody base of amber and smokey vetiver.

It's a classier smelling version of the original and as soon as I read it had cinnamon, I knew I would love it, that spicy note gets me every time! The pefect Valentine's red lips from Burberry and Givenchy - with swatches!

Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in No 41 Military Red - $38 - with an innovative formula that merges rich pigment, smooth application, and a whipped, creamy texture for a bold, velvet finish that lasts for up to eight hours. The comfortable, non-drying formula keeps your lips supple and moisturized, ensuring that the color does not dry, fade, or crack.

Fragrant Friday - Burberry My Burberry Black

Burberry My Burberry Black - 50ml EDP - $102, 90ml EDP - $138 - an intense and sensual interpretation of the original My Burberry with a sweet and inviting candied twist with a top note of sun-drenched jasmine flower; an iconic heart of candied rose and peach nectar; and a deep and captivating base of rich amber patchouli rounds off the scent, for a deep and captivating finish.

This is much more to my taste then the original - it has more of a sexy feel without being overly floral and I love the elegant looking rich, amber-coloured glass bottle with a dark horn-finish cap and black gabardine ribbon which can be made even more distinctive with your initials - monogramming is available at select stores where they will personalize your bottle with up to three initials!

Fragrant Friday - Burberry Brit Splash

Burberry introduced a refreshing and invigorating fragrance for men this summer with I am liking as a "it can't possibly be fall already" scent:

Burberry Brit Splash - 50ml EDT - $65, 100ml EDT - $84 - a bright,  aquatic fragrance with top notes of honeydew melon, galbanum and rosemary; heart notes of violet, cyclamen and watery accord; and base notes of musk, vetiver and moss.

I love how fresh and manly this scent is - floral notes in a men's fragrance always make me a bit nervous but there is nothing feminine about it in this one!

Fragrant Friday - Burberry Brit Rhythm

Burberry Brit Rhythm For Her Floral - 7.5ml EDT - $29, 50ml EDT - $80, 90ml EDT - $105 - a powdery floral fragrance with a fruity twist with top notes of orchard fruit, Sicilian lemon and orange; heart notes of Egyptian jasmine, lotus blossom and dewy lilac; and base notes of ambery woods, driftwood and musk.

The fruity twist doesn't last long on me, after 10 minutes or so I'm left with the powdery floral - which is very pretty and soft but I do wish the fruity part lasted as well!

Fragrant Friday - My Burberry

The newest fragrance from Burberry was inspired by a London garden after the rain and the affectionate way in which people refer to their Burberry trench coat - so basically it's an ode to their trench coat!

I find men harder to buy fragrance for then women. Most women enjoy having a library of fragrances because their mood, time of day or a variety of other factors will dictate which scent she'll want to wear.
