Helena Christensen Shows Her Shape for the Triumph Inspiration Awards

"90-60-90" by Liisa Nieminen from Finland
Helena Christensen, one of the original supermodels, models here  all the Triumph Inspiration Awards finalists showpieces. The biggest international lingerie design contest show cases the best avant-garde student designs from all over the world. The winner of this year's "All About Shape" contest will be announced on September 16 by a panel of judges (including Helena, the designer Matthew Williamson, Rankin and Karen Mok) but the public can cast their vote until August 31st - so there are still a few days left for you to vote online for one of the 27 designs in competition. One lucky voter will win a VIP expenses paid trip to the London Grand Final!

There are many interesting pieces here but I'm casting my vote either for Finland (first picture) or Bulgaria (second picture), but I have to say the showpiece from the Canadian Justin Singh (who graduated from George Brown in Toronto) is also one of my favorites... How about you, ladies?

"Morphology" by Nikolay Bojilov from Bulgaria

"Sensationally Shaped Information" by Anette Boman from Norway

"Moth Metamorphosis" by Dennis Lyngso from Danemark

"If I Were a Boy" by Suzanne Ferncombe from Ireland

"Body Architecture" by Tovah Cottle from Australia
"The Sands of Time" by Justin Singh from Canada

"Queen Elizabeth the 1st" by Karine Feldman from Israel

"Memory of a Shape" by Ludovico Loffreda from Italy

"Preserved Beauty" by Grace Eliana Sugiarto from Singapore

Toronto's Eleven Boutique - celebrating a year of style!

116 Cumberland Street in Toronto is the home Eleven Boutique and the destination Wednesday night for Christelle and I to help Eleven celebrate their first anniversary - they had us at "party"!  Right in the heart of Yorkville in a converted Victorian row house lives a treasure trove of Canadian fashion delights and exclusive accessories from around the world.  The store is chic, the atmosphere is welcoming and the stock is to die for!

Eleven carries lines from Canadian designers such as Lundström, Pink Tartan, Obakki and  Lucian Matis - it is so nice to see such wonderful Canadian design talent gathered all together in one place!

Christelle had her eye on the top pictured left by Lundström which comes in several colours while I drooled over the same line's beautiful linen collection - if only they could invent a non-wrinkling linen!

They carry a great mix of styles too from casual to party dresses - I love one stop shopping!

Finally I couldn't take it a minute longer - I needed to see the jewellery!
You know how much I love pretty, sparkly things and I so wasn't disappointed, the accessory selection is impressive including jewellery by Kendra Scott, Shay Lowe, Avant Garde (very edgy looking so it was Christelle's fave), Karen McClintock,  Zaya by Avital with some amazing leather pieces and my new favourite, Carla Wax - who created this beautiful flower and bird necklace shown left that I could just not resist buying!  I was told that birds would continue to be big for fall so really, I am just getting a head start on my fall shopping!

A return visit with my husband's credit card is most definitely in order!

If you are in the Toronto area or will be in the future, a trip to Eleven needs to be added to your itinerary!  Better yet, they want you to join the celebration - today until May 23rd, they are offering 30%-50% off regularly priced merchandise so it's a great time to get yourself to Yorkville and check them out!
