The John Browns and the present contest.

--James Redpath asserts in a recent letter that ‘"none of the John Brown men have taken part in any of the present military movements, nor will they. But if the Government wishes to employ them in Cuba, I do not hesitate to say that it has only to authorize them to prepare, and they will soon be in readiness to sail."’
