Boy drowned.

--A little lad, named Andrew Newman, was drowned about 9 o'clock on Friday, in the race leading to the paper mill.--He was aged about nine years, and on his way to school when the accident happened. His body was discovered on Saturday morning, the mill race having been dragged for that purpose.

A little daughter of Dr. E. McCarthy, of Chesterfield county, aged about five years, was also drowned on Saturday. While playing near a well she made a misstep and fell in. On being missed, her mother sent a servant to search for her, who discovered the body on lowering the bucket into the well.--Dr. McC., father of the unfortunate little one, came near losing his life in attempting to recover the body of his child.
