A Busy Bee
A busy bee on a vårstjärna (scilla). Found a few days ago near the cemetery wall at the Medieval church in Österhaninge. Miserable weather this week with grey skies and rain.

Tombstone Necklace
Frönäs is a farm at the Gålö peninsula. Owned by the same family for eight generations. Walfrid, who is buried here at the cemetery in Österhaninge was one of them.

Parasol
Theme day. Umbrella/Parasoll. I don't shoot in the rain as my camera isn't water proof so I don't have many umbrella photos. But I do shoot in sunshine, and that's when you might need a parasol. Like this young family that were picnicking in the park during the Midsummer celebrations in Jordbro last summer. Theme Day.

Hand of Death
I started smoking when I was 12 years old. Quit after a bet with myself. If Sweden won the ice-hockey world championship I would give up this bad habit. This was back in 1991 I think. Sweden won the tournament and I quit smoking. Since then I have only smoked twice. The first relapse was the same week as I quit. Out on an island partying with a few friends where everyone smoked I found it impossible not to. Then, a couple of years later I was island hopping in the Greek archipelago with a childhood friend I hadn't seen for 15 years. We visited Santorini, Paros and Ios. And it was on the party island Ios that I smoked my last ever cigarette. We were having drinks at the big square in Chora and I borrowed a cigarette from my friend Peter. It tasted like death. These days I can't stand if anyone smokes near me.

Winter has arrived
It snowed off and on all day today. So I guess it is official now, winter is here! I took a walk around Tungelsta, just like yesterday. For most of the walk everything was white. This is "färglådorna" where there was a terrible fire a little over a year.

My Left Eye
Woke up yesterday morning looking like this. My left eye must have been involved in some early new-year party without my knowledge. I spent the next 24 hours sleeping only to wake up every now and then for a bite to eat. Hopefully I will be up and shooting again in a few days time. Until then Happy New Year!

It's been raining all day...
Lousy weather today. I don't really feel like going out for a Sunday promenade with
the camera. Instead I will show you a photo I took just the other day when the sun was shining. A peacock butterfly, one of those wonderful signs of spring. Bigger photo.

Winter Apples
5C and no wind on Sunday. Perfect for a bike ride. I rode along the old Nynäs Road at Berga when I noticed the apples. Figured they would look good as a cutout. Bigger Apples.

"to the Batmobile!"
Over the years Batman (or billionare Bruce Wayne) has led a rich life at the Wayne Manor. That lifestyle is now long gone. After losing all his wealth he had to let go of his beloved Batmobile. These days the crimefighting superhero can be seen driving an old Volkswagen Transporter. Bigger photo.
See where Batman lives these days. [?]

A Payphone!
How long before all payphones will be gone? Here at the shopping centre in Västerhaninge a joker has written the word "bög" on the phone. It means gay, so this could be a gayphone according to a few of my flickr contacts, at least if you use the old meaning of gay: BRIGHT, brightly coloured, vivid, brilliant, vibrant; richly coloured, many-coloured, multicoloured; flamboyant, showy, gaudy. Sometimes when I take photos that look dull, I try to make them more interesting by using the cutout technique. I think this is a good example of that. And on another note people use this phone every day. If you wanna see more cool cutout photos press here.
