Abstract suprematism
Another photo used in a Facebook quiz. The top photo that is. I figured it would be tricky, but someone figured it out. A gable at the new retirement home,(second photo), in Brandbergen. It is called Villa Tjädern,(wood grouse). In the foreground, you can see the miniature golf course at Haninge Bangolf.

Isle of Lime
We had a whisky testing evening a while back. At Norrby, that place with a view. One of the bottles we tried was a Swedish whisky brand from Gotland Whisky. It is called Isle of Lime. Their latest whisky went on sale at Systembolaget just a couple of days ago and people were queuing to get one of the 11000 bottles on sale. The bottle we tried was their second ever whisky and the owner of the bottle is also a shareholder in the brewery. After trying the three brands and enjoying some good food I decided to shoot an abstract of the Gotland whisky bottle and that is the top snap. Skål!

Minimalist Winter
Two Winter photos with a difference. I decided to try and shoot a few abstract and minimalistic photos on a recent photo promenade around Tungelsta. I took these photos at the commuter station. It is a busy building site at the moment so there's lots to look at. At least if you are a photographer.

Blackout
Dinner time was quickly approaching on Friday when Tungelsta suddenly turned black. I looked outside and it was pitch dark everywhere. We had us a power outage! So dinner was cancelled. As was everything else. After a few hours the neighbour became worried as the temperature in the greenhouses fell rather quickly, which was bad news for the thousands of poinsettia plants. The outdoor temperature was -10C. Luckily for Ingemar he got some help and together they managed to start up our old diesel heater. His family and employees had to cancel their Christmas dinner at the Inn. Around 2100 hours I used the reenhouse electricity to make some coffee. Ninety minutes after that the power came back. It was a good lesson. I will have to make a list of items to buy now...

Fossil by Mette Wihlborg
Here is the answer to Saturdays little guessing game. Two rectangular ponds. The pattern in the ponds emulates fossils and corals. Mette Wihlborgs art work can be seen in the Åby park in Västerhaninge. Mette Wihlborg was a student at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and has done a lot of public art over the last 25 years. Press here to see all photos from this artwork.
