Myyränkolossa on nyt siis siivouspäivä! Vauva on laitettu koriinsa pois sotkemasta, matto viety ulos tuulettumaan ja lattia lakaistaan.

So it's cleaning day in Mole Hill! The baby is in his basket out of the way, the rug is out to get some air and floor is clear to be sweeped.

Mekkotehdas / Dress factory

Kokeilin virkata mekkoja vielä pienemmille Pikkaraisille. Ensimmäisenä tehty oranssimekko onnistui hyvin ja väri sopii kauniisti punertavanruskealle karhulle. Harmaa karhulapsonen sai sinisävyisestä langasta mekon, jonka helmaan tein reikiä. Myyrän mekosta vasta hauska tulikin ja miehustan koristelu onnistui hauskasti.

I decided to scale smaller and crocheted dresses for baby critters. First I made an orange dress for redbrown bear baby and it turned out quite nice! The blue dress for grey bear baby has holes in the hem and it wides a bit too much perhaps. The red dress on mole baby is the cutest, the details turned out well.

Pätkävärjätyt langat ovat kaikkein hauskimpia, niillä saa satunnaista eläväisyyttä yksinkertaiseen mekkoonkin. Tämä valko-liila helmilanka on ihana, ja siitä tein kauniin mekon kettulapsoselle.

The space dyed yarns are the cutest, and they give some random life to simple outfits. I adore the white and lilac shades of this yarn and made a beautiful dress of it to fox child.

Pikkaraisia / Dollhouse critters

Tällainen Sylvanian families paketti saapui minulle kesällä, ebaysta huudettuja.. Olin ihastunut pikkusiiliin etukäteen, mutta elävänä hän ei ollutkaan niin ihana =/ Raukka ei edes pysy pystyssä paksun piikkikerroksen takia. Myyrä olikin odotettua söpömpi, tilasin sen erästä projektia varten, mutta siitä lisää joskus toiste. Kaikki tavarat ovat Tomyn tuotantoa, parhaiten se näkyy pandavauvassa alemmassa kuvassa. Keittosetti on oikein posliinia!

This package of Sylvanian families items arrived last summer, I got them from ebay. I thought the baby hedgehog would be so lovely, but in real life it wasn't as cute I had expected. The poor thing can't even stand on his own, the spikes weigh too much. The baby mole was cuter than I thought. I got her for a special project, I'll show it some day. All items are made by Tomy, the panda baby looks different as you can see in the photo below. The soup set is real porcelain!

Kuvassa on Forest Families panda äiti ja sisko, korvien ja silmien musta on ajan myötä kulunut. Sylvanian families Tomy-pandavauva on samalla lailla kermanvalkoinen, mutta uudempi versio on kovin kirkkaan valkoinen. Pandaäidille ja siskolle olen ommellut mekon eräällä tekniikalla, näitä esittelen tarkemmin myöhemmin.

Here you see Forest Families pandas, a mother and daughter, the black of ears and around the eyes has worn off. The Sylvanian families Tomy baby is cream white like the Forest Famileis pandas, but the newer baby is clean white. I have sewn the clothes for panda mother and sister, I'll show more of these dresses in the future.

Tässä karhuvauvojen uudet asut, innoittajana parin kankaan hulpion värimerkinnät :) Tytön mekko on hassunmallinen, mutta vihreihin haalareihin olen oikein tyytyväinen.

These are the new outfits for bear babys, inspired by the bunny shape color samples at the edge of fabrics. The dress is of odd shape, but I'm really happy with the green overalls.
