Wild Smiles or Wild Frowns?

The longer we stare at that widget, the shakier we get. (I.e., where be the smiles?)

No sooner do we pop the new song by Southampton trio Wild Smiles into Songdrop than we find it is available for free and legal download. (Well, there was a 24-hour gap, but whatever.) We're kind of facing a dilemma, though. Wild Smiles want to give you the song in exchange for a Facebook like. If you've got a Facebook account, that's very easy to do. Just click here.

We have one, even though it's really kind of a fake one we set up under a pseudonym in order to get a Spotify account. (Shhhhh.) So we used it to "like" (even though we actually "love") WS and happily downloaded the song. As a result, we now have a link you nonFacebookers can use to get the song. Do you think that might turn WS into WF? We really hope not. (But just in case: Shhhhh.)

BTW, our earlier post on WS still has a very nice f&l, in case you're interested. Unfortunately, the widget to get "Tangled Hair" no longer works. In fact, it's been transmogrified into some other widget we don't even recognize.

Sorry for all the wordage in this post. It won't happen again.

Oh, and while we're at it, here's the video of a WS song we love and previously put in Songdrop. (Rollo & Grady still have it, too.)

And here's the video of "Tangled Hair." (Loved.) Buy here and here.

Wild Smiles Induce Wild Smiles

As we basked this morning in the sweaty afterglow of . . . a walk, the last song we grooved on before heading inside for drying and combing was "Tangled Hair," by Hampshire band Wild Smiles. And, rest assured, madly did we beam.

We had sent you to Austin Town Hall for it last October but wanted to see if we might post a downloadable here at our little cosa blogstra. We can't but we can post "Get Off My Back" for downloading, let you hear again - or perhaps for the first time - the aforementioned "Tangled Hair," and thank again the wonderful people at One For The People for their excellent celebratory compilation. (You might remember we found there a sweet one by London's Honeyslide back in January.) BTW, "Tangled Hair" is still downloadable at ATH. This post is kind of tangled, too, but whatever.
