CASology: Silhouette and Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!

Today, I'm sharing with you a one layer card I made for CAS-ology: Silhouette and Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge.  This also fits this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Emboss It!!

For this card I masked off the bottom part of the stamp, heat embossed with Ranger's gold embossing powder.  After that, I masked the frame and distressed it with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Runway Inspired RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44

Hello, how's everyone doing?

It's hard to resist the gorgeous inspirational images from RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44.

I made the background using Black Soot distressed ink and the grid stamp by Waltzing Mouse called Off Beat Background.  First i die cut a circle on a piece of Eclipse masking tape, positioned it on a square card stock and mask off the top with post it note.  Next i distressed the partial circle with Black Soot ink, then stamp the grid with VersaMark and heat embossed it (recommend to heat set the ink before stamping, or in my case, i left to pick up the kiddos :)).  The butterflies are from Antique Flowers and Butterflies set by Sizzix & Hero Arts... i die cut and colored them with Copic markers Y19 and YR14.

Here's the final product:

Thanks for stopping by and your comments are greatly appreciated!!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: Envy Becomes You

Hello everyone,

I made this card for Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger: Envy Becomes You.  I have this stamp set for a while and never played with it (as many many other stamp sets :)).

The shoe was colored with Copic markers, mounted on foam tape and had some glossy accents added on top.  For the sentiment, i printed it on a Word document with a space big enough for the word "fabulous" from Verve Stamps: Fabulous You.

Thanks for looking.

Hero Arts - Feburary 2012B Challenge

Hello, how's everyone doing? It's been two weeks since i made a card. I just got over a cold with really bad sinus pain. The last few days, i was just looking at my stamping stuff and could not create anything. Deadline for Hero Arts February Challenge is up today, so i had to make something :)

I got my inspiration for the flowers' color from this week's Runway Inspired Challenge. After coloring with Copic markers, I masked the flowers and stamped HA envelope pattern background.

Before masking

Owls Valentine Card

I made this card for Hero Arts January 2012 and Moxie Fab World: Die Cutting challenges.  To create the red trim around the heart, i stamped the woodgrain image on a card stock.  Cut a heart shape using Spellbinders die then adhered a piece of red cardstock on the back.  Started cutting the red heart on the front using a craft knife like Fiskars swivel knife.  You don't need to make a perfect cut, because you can trim it with a small scissors.

I added some faux eyelashes on the girl owl :).

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Hero Arts (background: S5208 designer woodgrain)
  • Digital Image: Hero Arts (owls, and sentiment: Just for You DigiKit)
  • Die: Spellbinders (heart)
  • Ink: Rangers (distress ink: walnut stain)
  • Marker: Copic markers
  • Cardstock: Bazill paper (red devil)
  • Embellishment: Hero Arts (flower gem), Recollections (pink heart gems), May Arts (twine)

Moxie Fab World: Die Cutting Challenge

Valentine Card

I almost had time to submit this to Hero Arts' January challenge (first round), but didn't have time to take the picture last night... so second round it is :).  I am also submitting this card for Moxie Fab World challenges.

I cut 3 Spellbinder fancy tags from white cardstock, and glue them on top of each other.  This technique is learned from the fabulous Jennifer McGuire in the Clean & Simple Class.  I really love how it turns out.

The sentiment "much Love" is from Hero Arts.  It has an oval border around it.  After stamping it with black ink, i carefully wiped out the border and stamped on the Spellbinder fancy tag.  The pink background is distressed with spun sugar.  Thanks for looking, hope you have a wonderful day!!

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Hero Arts (sentiment: CL047 wishful messages, H5577 classic tea flower)
  • Patterned paper: My Mind's Eyes
  • Ink: Memento (tuxedo black), Rangers (spun sugar)
  • Marker: Copic markers
  • Die cut: Spellbinders (fancy tags)
  • Punch: Martha Stewart
  • Embellishment: Recollections (heart gems, pearl)

Colorful Birthday Card - December2011B

To make this card, i stamped the background and sentiment on a white A2 cardstock; then stamped the flower 3 times, and colored them with copic markers.  On 2 of the flowers, only colored half.  Cut and adhered the flowers on the A2 card stock with foam tape.  Thanks for looking.

Quick and Easy Holiday Tags

I used large size tags so after the holiday, they can be used as book marks as well.  I mass produced 15 of these tags in total of 2 hours.  I had to take a little break in between waiting for the glitter to dry.

This one is my favorite.  It's so colorful and festive.  I learned this technique from Jennifer McGuire.  Applied the red ink on raised background of the embossing folder.
