Pink Shaker Birthday Card

Good morning!

I hope you have a warm and cozy Saturday morning.  It's sunny and shine here in Charleston, South Carolina.  The temperature is 25 degrees, but with high humidity, it feels like 10... burr.

Today, I'm sharing a shaker card made for few challenges.  I used the lovely flower stamp from the set Botanical Silhouette, other PTI sets are Fabulous Frames, and Bigger Blooms.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then stamped it again, offset, with Fresh Ink Pool

Here's my card.  Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your visit and comments.  Have a wonderful day!

Runway Inspired Challenge #50 - Mathew Williamson

This is my second post for today.  Please scroll down for BE Inspired Challenge #45 post.

I'm sharing with you a card i made for RIC #50 and CAS-ual Friday #125.

The colors are inspired by RIC #50 and the sentiment is by CEF #125... encouragement to be the best.

On RIC's image, I love how the bold, green color is offset by the lovely soft flowers on her jacket.  To mimic the translucent look of those flowers, i used vellum for mine.  I used my Cameo to cut the flower and the sunburst stencil.  I then sponged the pattern on my card.  The sentiment is by Avery Elle (Handwritten Notes)

Just in case you're wondering, the stencil was made using stencil blank from Hobby Lobby.  And the settings were as following: blade=3, speed=2, thickness=33, double cut.

Here's my card:

I'm also linking this card to Artistic Inspirations #72

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Runway Inspired Challenge #47 - Alberta Ferretti

Hello ladies,

Have you seen the inpirational picture for this week's challenge at Runway Inpired Challenge?  It's gorgeous.  I couldn't help but play along.  This card is made for RIC#47 and Simon Says... Keep It Clean and Simple

I used Copic markers to make the stripes and the flowers are from Fresh Cut Florals set.  Thanks for stopping by... hope you have a fabulous week!

Here's my card:

Runway Inspired Christmas Card

Today i'm sharing a card i made for Runway Inspired #46Simon Says... ChristmasAddictied to Stamps and More #67, MarkerPOP #32 Challenges.

I played around with several combos of copic colors before choosing R20, R22, and R24.  The poinsettia and sentiment stamps are from PTI's Year Of Flowers: Poinsettias set.  The outlined flowers on my card are inspired by the pattern on the skirt, and the red poinsettia... well obviously from the red jacket.  I added the pink button but it blended it in a bit too well.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful evening!

Runway Inspired RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44

Hello, how's everyone doing?

It's hard to resist the gorgeous inspirational images from RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44.

I made the background using Black Soot distressed ink and the grid stamp by Waltzing Mouse called Off Beat Background.  First i die cut a circle on a piece of Eclipse masking tape, positioned it on a square card stock and mask off the top with post it note.  Next i distressed the partial circle with Black Soot ink, then stamp the grid with VersaMark and heat embossed it (recommend to heat set the ink before stamping, or in my case, i left to pick up the kiddos :)).  The butterflies are from Antique Flowers and Butterflies set by Sizzix & Hero Arts... i die cut and colored them with Copic markers Y19 and YR14.

Here's the final product:

Thanks for stopping by and your comments are greatly appreciated!!

Runway Inspired Challenge #ric41 and a Moxie Fab World: Birthday Card Challenge

This week, I have sometimes to play along with the super talented ladies at Runway Inspired ChallengeThis week's challenge is this gorgeous dress by Zac Posen (love him on Project Runway show).  Also, CAS(E) this Sketch #40 is incorporated into the design.

Here's my card

To create the flowers, I heat embossed a piece of cardstock with tiny flower background by Stampin' Up and distressed it with Ranger Distressed Ink Tattered Rose.  Then I die cut the flower (PTI die) and distressed the flower with the following colors: Worn Lipstick, Barn Door, and Aged Mahogany.  Worn Lipstick didn't show much after Aged Mahogany was used, so I think I would have gotten the same result if I skipped Worn Lipstick.  The sentiment is handwritten using a black sharpie.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Runway Inspired Challenge #17 - Carlos Miele

I got sometimes to play along with the ladies at Runway Inspired Challenge this week.  I really love Laura's vibrant colored card.  I used her technique, but with Copic markers.  I blended several colors together and die cut it.  "Birthday" is from an older Stampin' Up stamp.

A tiny rhinestone is added to finish the look...

Thanks for looking!!

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI (white)
Stamp: PTI (pretty peonies), Stampin' Up (birthday sentiment)
Other: Hero Arts (rhinestone), Copic (YR04, Y08, YG01, YG03, YG95, V15, and RV19)

Another Card for Runway Inspired Challenge - RIC4

Yey, it's Friday.  First, i'd like to wish everyone a very happy Friday and a great weekend.

Today, i'm sharing with you the easiest card EVER.  All you need is a computer with MS Word, a printer and a black gel pen.

I printed the word "THANKS" in MS Word, using font CAMEY.  You can download it free on Simply The Best Fonts.  Cut out the letters and set aside.  I then wrote the words "so much" on the cardstock.  I wanted to make sure i didn't mess up my handwriting before adding my rainbow THANKS.  Once that's done, adhere "THANKS" on the cardstock using foam tape.  Voila, a rainbow card!!  Thanks for looking.
