Color Block Silhouette Card

For a while, I've been wanting to try the masking and color blocking technique Pam did on this card, but never got a chance to.  Just last week, CAS-ual Friday came out with Color Blocks challenge, i knew this is when i should try the technique.  As i was halfway done masking, i saw this template by the super talented JJ Bolton.  Thank you, JJ!.  I immediately abandoned my masking and started a new card.  I cut out the template using my Cameo.  I saved the cut out pieces and colored them with different colors.  Then inlay them back in the frame.  The sentiment is from PTI set Birthday Bash Sentiments

Here's my card.  Thanks for visiting!

I submitted this card to few challenges:

BIC #46 Challenge

Hello everyone, are you ready for the weekend?

Today i'm sharing a card inspired by BIC #46 images.  Those pastel colored cups are so lovely especially with the stripes.  I've created my stripes using the back of a clear stamp (any clear stamp with rectangle shape would work).  Then i stamped the flowers from Awesome Blossom set, and added few sequins.
I'm also submitting this card to CFC126: Color Blocks.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Supplies:
Stamps: The Alley Way Stamps (Awesome Blossom)
Inks: Memento (black), Fresh Inks (Pool, Sicilian Blue), Hero Arts (Passion Flowers)

Runway Inspired Challenge #50 - Mathew Williamson

This is my second post for today.  Please scroll down for BE Inspired Challenge #45 post.

I'm sharing with you a card i made for RIC #50 and CAS-ual Friday #125.

The colors are inspired by RIC #50 and the sentiment is by CEF #125... encouragement to be the best.

On RIC's image, I love how the bold, green color is offset by the lovely soft flowers on her jacket.  To mimic the translucent look of those flowers, i used vellum for mine.  I used my Cameo to cut the flower and the sunburst stencil.  I then sponged the pattern on my card.  The sentiment is by Avery Elle (Handwritten Notes)

Just in case you're wondering, the stencil was made using stencil blank from Hobby Lobby.  And the settings were as following: blade=3, speed=2, thickness=33, double cut.

Here's my card:

I'm also linking this card to Artistic Inspirations #72

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop and CAS-ual Friday #118

Good morning everyone!

Today I'm sharing a gift box and tags i made for CAS-ual Friday #118 and Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

The box is made using Fold-n-Go template.  I stamped the buildings from City Scene set all round the box.  I had so much fun stamping these 2-step building images.  You can have a rainbow row of buildings if you like :).
For the tags, i decide to go with shaker style, added some white sequins and coarse glitters in between.
I'm thinking of wrapping some fresh baked cookies in the cellophane bag then put them in these lovely city-scape boxes.
Here are all the tags.  I stamped the sentiment on the back of each tag.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Cozy Christmas set

Here are couple more pictures of the box.

Thanks for visiting and as always, your comments are greatly appreciated.  Have a wonderful day!!

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC115 and SSS STAMPtember® Blog Hop

Good evening everyone!

I have another card to share this evening.  This card was made for CFC115 challenge and SSS STAMPtember® Blog Hop

For this challenge, i created the pattern using the leaf stamp from PTI Heart-2-Heart #7 mini stamp set.  The sentiment is from STAMPtember® Stamps Thanks.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful evening!!

CAS-ual Fridays: CFC70

For this CAS-ual Fridays: Black & White Plus One challenge, i used negative die technique to show the color.  Black card stock is cut with the bigger flower die, and pink card stock is cut with the smaller flower die.  Tape the black card stock over the pink one and both mounted with foam tape on top of a white card stock.  Black buttons and embossed white sentiment completed the card.

Thanks for looking.

Tip: Separate the 3 pink flowers when you tape them under the black card stock.  That way, you can adjust them individually and have a perfect line up for each flower

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI (true black, hibiscus burst, white)
Stamp: PTI (sentiment from botanical silhouettes)
Other: PTI (beautiful blooms II #3 die collection), Tsukineko (versa mark), embossing powder, buttons

  • Cardstock: Bazzill paper (red devil, grape delight, and chablis)
  • Clear Stamp: Technique Tuesday (sentiment: Love by Ali Edwards)
  • Punch: Martha Stewart

CAS card with Kraft and Twine

For this challenge, i use twine to create the background of the heart.  I don't have any heart dies, so i drew the heart on the back of the Kraft cardstock; cut and embellished with red gems on the front.  The sentiment is from All Night Media.  Thanks for looking.

Here's my take on the challenge

Supplies:
- Mummy: Stampin' Up Spooktacular Greetings set
- Sentiment: $1 stamp from Michaels :p
- Distress Ink Black Soot, Crushed Olive
- Diamond Stickles
- Die cut: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight

To create the green glow on the mummy, i smeared Crushed Olive around the face and hands using q-tip, then colored them with the No. 8 violet marker in Marvy Le Plume II Primary set.

The frame and mummy are mounted on foam tapes.

Enjoy!!
