Papertrey Ink February 2016 Blog Hop

Hello friends,

I made this card to join in PTI February Blog Hop.  All stamps and dies are PTI's: Meadow Green, Rosie Posie, Think Big Favorite #10, and Love Potion Die.

I started out with masking the bottom part of my card, and added distress ink above the masking line.  Before removing the masking tape, I stamped my fern directly on the card stock.  Next I added the large beaker die over the fern.  My flowers were embossed on vellum and adhered over the beaker using foam tape.  Finally the sentiment and few gold sequins to complete the look.

I hope you like it.  Thanks so much for visiting.  Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink April 2015 Blog Hop

Hello friends, today i'm participating in Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop.  I was inspired by the gorgeous colors, but decided to make a clean and graphic card, and omitted the flowers.

To make this card, i used the cover plate circles die and cut 3 different pieces of card stock: navy blue, hot pink (texture), and soft pink.  I used the inlay technique to add the pink pieces onto the navy blue frame.  It really helps if you have a small pair of tweezers. I have this and LOVE it.  Next i die cut super swoosh hello word using luxe gold card stock and adhered on a white panel using glossy accents, then used foam tape to adhere on my background.  Finally, i added few clear sequins also using glossy accents.  I highly recommend transferring your glossy accents to this fluid pen.  No more clogging glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by... have fun hopping!

Love this luxe gold card stock...

Papertrey Ink February 2015 Blog Hop

Hello there!  I'm sharing a card made for PTI February Blog Hop.  Isn't the inspiration gorgeous?  I had so many ideas on how to make my card and that became a small issue.  I scrapped 3 cards prior to choosing this one.  I partially blamed it on making all 3 bad cards at midnight when i couldn't even see straight lol.

On this card, i'm using the soft colors seen on the upper right corner of the inspirational image: pink, aqua, purple.  I started out with water coloring a piece of watercolor paper.  I stamped and white embossed my ferns on vellum.  This is inspired by the white pattern on the inspirational image.  I trimmed the water colored card stock, die cut my ferns and adhered on top.  To add more dimension, i only applied adhesive toward the center of the ferns, then curled the leaves up a little bit.  For the sentiment, i stamped it on a small rectangle piece of card stock and anchored it over the fern using thin foam tape.

I hope you like it.  Thanks in advance for your wonderful comments.  Have a great day!!

PTI January 2015 Blog Hop

WOW I almost forgot about PTI Blog Hop today... not until 5pm when i saw the blog hop card on Lisa's blog.  Here's my take on the heart challenge.

First i wanted to have the pink hearts cascading down, but then i thought that would be too many hearts and distracted from the heart in the word "LOVE".  So i went with light blue dots.

I stamped the word "LOVE", then die cut "you" overlapping on top.  Next i die cut 3 more "you" and glue underneath to add dimension.  Few sequins added to finish the look.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Card for PTI May Blog Hop, CAS(E) this Sketch #77 and CASology Week 96

Hello again,

Earlier, i made a card for PTI May Blog Hop without checking CAS(E) this Sketch (silly me).  So I'm back to my crafting space for another card.  This time, i'm incorporating the 2 challenges.

I first drew the banner with pencil then masked it with drawing gum.  Then i stamped the flowers in Spun Sugar and leaves in Antique Linen.  After that i used watercolor to colored over the stamped images.  I like the undefined edges... the images look like hand drawn with watercolors.  I'm also submitting this card to CASology Week 96: Flower

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful evening!

Papertrey Ink May Blog Hop - Aqua and Melon

Hello everyone,

Hope your weekend is going well.  Today, i'm sharing a card made for PTI May Blog Hop.  Oh i love this color combo, and have seen them everywhere.  The inspirational image is just gorgeous.

As i was writing this post, it hit me that i could have used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!... duh.  Oh well, i guess i can try to make another card after coming back from church today.   I'm also submitting this card to CASology: Week 96 Flower.

Here's my take.  I hope you like it.  Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink - April Blog Hop

Hello everyone,

I made this card for PTI April Blog Hop.  My inspiration is the far right image on the middle row.

To create the background, i used the technique here by Jennifer McGuire.  I used Tumble Glass and Peacock Feathers distress inks.  The flowers are water-colored.

Color Block Silhouette Card

For a while, I've been wanting to try the masking and color blocking technique Pam did on this card, but never got a chance to.  Just last week, CAS-ual Friday came out with Color Blocks challenge, i knew this is when i should try the technique.  As i was halfway done masking, i saw this template by the super talented JJ Bolton.  Thank you, JJ!.  I immediately abandoned my masking and started a new card.  I cut out the template using my Cameo.  I saved the cut out pieces and colored them with different colors.  Then inlay them back in the frame.  The sentiment is from PTI set Birthday Bash Sentiments

Here's my card.  Thanks for visiting!

I submitted this card to few challenges:

Pink Shaker Birthday Card

Good morning!

I hope you have a warm and cozy Saturday morning.  It's sunny and shine here in Charleston, South Carolina.  The temperature is 25 degrees, but with high humidity, it feels like 10... burr.

Today, I'm sharing a shaker card made for few challenges.  I used the lovely flower stamp from the set Botanical Silhouette, other PTI sets are Fabulous Frames, and Bigger Blooms.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then stamped it again, offset, with Fresh Ink Pool

Here's my card.  Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your visit and comments.  Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop and CAS-ual Friday #118

Good morning everyone!

Today I'm sharing a gift box and tags i made for CAS-ual Friday #118 and Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

The box is made using Fold-n-Go template.  I stamped the buildings from City Scene set all round the box.  I had so much fun stamping these 2-step building images.  You can have a rainbow row of buildings if you like :).
For the tags, i decide to go with shaker style, added some white sequins and coarse glitters in between.
I'm thinking of wrapping some fresh baked cookies in the cellophane bag then put them in these lovely city-scape boxes.
Here are all the tags.  I stamped the sentiment on the back of each tag.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Cozy Christmas set

Here are couple more pictures of the box.

Thanks for visiting and as always, your comments are greatly appreciated.  Have a wonderful day!!
