Paper Sweeties April 2015 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello friends,

Today, I'm joining the talented DT at Paper Sweeties to share with you the Sneak Peek for Paper Sweeties' April Release.  This adorable flower is from the set called Tree of Life Add-on: spring.  After masking the frame, I stamped and watercolored the flowers and the leaves.  Then i added very light blue watercolor background.  Sentiment was white embossed and adhered on foam tape.  Lastly, I added few tiny pearls to finish the look.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  For more Sneak Peeks, please check out our DT's pages below.

TAWS April 2015 Release - Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello everyone,

I'm here with a sneak peek of TAWS' April release.  This set is called Feeling Groovy.  I stamped little image with neon inks to create the background.  I wanted to make this guy as groovy as possible :), so i did his hair in rainbow colors.  The sentiment is also from the set.

Please stop by other DTs' site for more sneak peeks.  Have a great day!

A TAWS Flashback Hello Card

Hello friends!  Today i'm sharing a TAWS flashback card.  This is an older TAWS set called Sea Mates.  I used watercolor to create the wavy background.  I stamped and colored my fish with Copics.  Then i used Pebeo Drawing Gum to mask them before adding the blue and green distress ink background.

The drawing gum took a while to dry.  Once it's dry, you can just rub it off.

Here's the close up look of my fish with wet drawing gum layer...

Thanks so much for visiting.  Hope you have a wonderful day!!

A Card for PTI May Blog Hop, CAS(E) this Sketch #77 and CASology Week 96

Hello again,

Earlier, i made a card for PTI May Blog Hop without checking CAS(E) this Sketch (silly me).  So I'm back to my crafting space for another card.  This time, i'm incorporating the 2 challenges.

I first drew the banner with pencil then masked it with drawing gum.  Then i stamped the flowers in Spun Sugar and leaves in Antique Linen.  After that i used watercolor to colored over the stamped images.  I like the undefined edges... the images look like hand drawn with watercolors.  I'm also submitting this card to CASology Week 96: Flower

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful evening!

Color Block Silhouette Card

For a while, I've been wanting to try the masking and color blocking technique Pam did on this card, but never got a chance to.  Just last week, CAS-ual Friday came out with Color Blocks challenge, i knew this is when i should try the technique.  As i was halfway done masking, i saw this template by the super talented JJ Bolton.  Thank you, JJ!.  I immediately abandoned my masking and started a new card.  I cut out the template using my Cameo.  I saved the cut out pieces and colored them with different colors.  Then inlay them back in the frame.  The sentiment is from PTI set Birthday Bash Sentiments

Here's my card.  Thanks for visiting!

I submitted this card to few challenges:

Pink Shaker Birthday Card

Good morning!

I hope you have a warm and cozy Saturday morning.  It's sunny and shine here in Charleston, South Carolina.  The temperature is 25 degrees, but with high humidity, it feels like 10... burr.

Today, I'm sharing a shaker card made for few challenges.  I used the lovely flower stamp from the set Botanical Silhouette, other PTI sets are Fabulous Frames, and Bigger Blooms.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then stamped it again, offset, with Fresh Ink Pool

Here's my card.  Thanks for stopping by.  I really appreciate your visit and comments.  Have a wonderful day!

Ghost Halloween Card... Mass Produced

Halloween is approaching quickly.  I need total of 28 Halloween cards for the kids and teachers in my sons' classes.  I made 18 of these last night, using CAS(E) this Sketch #49... 10 more to go.  I'm loving this blog lately... i don't have to spend much time contemplating on the sketches anymore :).  The ladies on CAS(E) this Sketch always come up with great sketches...

Here's my card:

I die cut bunches of ghosts and tag, stamped the tags and sentiment... then let the assembly began :).  Took me total of 3 hours for 18 cards.  I added sequins for this challenge, but the cards to be handed out to the kids won't have any sequins.

I'm also submitting this card to Simon Says Use a Rubber or Clear Stamp Challenge
Thanks for visiting!

Another Birthday Card...

Hello everyone.  Hope your weekend is going well!

It seems to me that there're more birthdays in October than any other months :)...  My sons, both have friends' birthday in October.  My older son's birthday is also in October.  Lately, our weekends have been involving  mostly with birthday parties.  I made this card for another little girl's birthday.  I used CAS(E) this Sketch #49, the colors are from colourQ challenge #210.  It also fits Simon Says... Use a Rubber or a Clear Stamp Challenge and MarkerPOP Blog Challenge.

Here's my card:

The balloon is colored with various Copic markers.  The balloon stamp is from PTI's set Up Up & Away.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Happy set

I'll be back later to share another Halloween card i mass produced.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great evening!

Mr. Bones Card

Hello and Happy Friday everyone!

I have a card to share today.  I'm inspired by the images on Curtain Call blog and the CAS(E) this sketch #48.

Here's my card:

I made this card using PTI's Mr. Bones set.  Isn't he so cute?  The sentiment is also from the set, but i stamped one word at a time and positioned them on the same line.  I went to Joann's to find Martha Stewart anywhere square punch, but no luck.  I had to hand cut those windows... was such a pain in the behind :).

Thanks for stopping by and your comments are greatly appreciated.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold Challenge and CAS(E) this Sketch #47

I'm sharing another card today that i made for my sister's friend who just got married.  I've known her since they went to middle school together.  I'm submitting this card to Moxie Fab World: All That Glitters is Gold, CAS(E) this Sketch #47, and SSS Wednesday.

I used PTI Boutique Borders: Love mini set.  I carefully inked the stamp to avoid the straight lines on the sides.  I also stamped them closely so they look like one single border stamp.  The gold embossing powder is also by PTI (love it!).  In many Asian cultures, red is considered a good color for wedding;  but I didn't want to make a red card, so i cut 2 strips of red card stock added as part of the borders.

Thanks again for stopping by!

CAS(E) this Sketch #47 and SSS Challenges

Hello everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Today, I'm sharing a card that i made for CAS(E) this Sketch #47Sweet Stamp Shop, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenges.  I started out with stamping different colors on the Drops Background stamp by Sweet Stamp Shop.  Then i randomly added gemstones and Star Dust Stickles.  The sentiment is from the set Oh Happy Day by Avery Elle - my absolute favorite sentiment set yet!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a great week!

Runway Inspired RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44

Hello, how's everyone doing?

It's hard to resist the gorgeous inspirational images from RIC#43 and CAS(E) this Sketch #44.

I made the background using Black Soot distressed ink and the grid stamp by Waltzing Mouse called Off Beat Background.  First i die cut a circle on a piece of Eclipse masking tape, positioned it on a square card stock and mask off the top with post it note.  Next i distressed the partial circle with Black Soot ink, then stamp the grid with VersaMark and heat embossed it (recommend to heat set the ink before stamping, or in my case, i left to pick up the kiddos :)).  The butterflies are from Antique Flowers and Butterflies set by Sizzix & Hero Arts... i die cut and colored them with Copic markers Y19 and YR14.

Here's the final product:
