I made this card for Hero Arts January 2012 and Moxie Fab World: Die Cutting challenges. To create the red trim around the heart, i stamped the woodgrain image on a card stock. Cut a heart shape using Spellbinders die then adhered a piece of red cardstock on the back. Started cutting the red heart on the front using a craft knife like Fiskars swivel knife. You don't need to make a perfect cut, because you can trim it with a small scissors.
I added some faux eyelashes on the girl owl :).
Supplies:
- Stamps: Hero Arts (background: S5208 designer woodgrain)
- Digital Image: Hero Arts (owls, and sentiment: Just for You DigiKit)
- Die: Spellbinders (heart)
- Ink: Rangers (distress ink: walnut stain)
- Marker: Copic markers
- Cardstock: Bazill paper (red devil)
- Embellishment: Hero Arts (flower gem), Recollections (pink heart gems), May Arts (twine)
