Chanel Pink Satin 221, 2006, swatches

Chanel Pink Satin 221 was one of the LE’s released for Christmas 2006. It is a sheer nude with a pink hue and a fine silver micro glitter, not really pretty with my skin, but here it is anyhow – 3 coats. I imagine it could be very pretty on non-stained/ridged nails in one single coat just as a subtle effect.

I guess if I ever would feel like wearing a nude, this wouldn't be too bad, but then again..!

Chanel Wonderland 339 - 2006 Holiday coll. Winter Nights - Collaboration Saturday

In this Collaboration Saturday together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel I'm showing:
Chanel Wonderland 339 is from the 2006 Holiday collection Winter Nights.
It’s a delicate pale pink nude( a little more pink than the photos)  base with tons of silver and a dash of multicolored shimmer. If I had nails without ridges it would be pretty to wear in just one coat as discrete yet eye catching enhancement of the natural nail. Two coats are enough, but because of my prominent ridges I added an extra coat

It looked better (more pink) in person, it seems like it tricked my camera, and I weren't able to rectify it.
I wonder what Elena has for us today, let's see, shall we :)

Chanel Biarritz 212 swatches - summer 2006 - Collaboration Saturday

Collaboration Saturday is here again together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel - and as promised last week:
Chanel Biarritz 212 is a summer polish from 2006 together with Deauville 211, click on the name to see it.

Biarritz is a warm peach with a beautiful golden shimmer and blue glass flecks more visible in person than on the photos.

The application is easy, the dry time is good, and this is two coats without a top coat. 

I liked wearing this summer-y polish - do you like it?

Chanel Deauville 211 swatches - summer 2006 - Collaboration Saturday

A brand new Collaboration Saturday together with my friend Elena from PicturedTinsel!
Chanel Deauville 211 is a summer polish from 2006 together with Biarritz 212 - that I will show you next Saturday.

Deauville is one of the pale flesh toned pink colors, that do not look good on me, my skin matches the pale white toned pinks much better. It has a beautiful subtle blue, gold and silver shimmer and glass flecks, and it’s beautiful if you have the right skin color to match it!

As usual the application is without problems. Two coats are enough, but this is three coats without a top coat.

Chanel Splendeur 217, fall 2006 - swatches (both Made in France and Made in USA)

Chanel Splendeur 217 was released fall 2006 with Black Satin 219.

Splendeur is a beautiful and bold fuchsia/magenta pink, just like I love them. It’s fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two coats without a top coat.

Splendeur was released in the US as a Made in the USA and in Europe in a Made in France. Sometimes there is a difference in shade or with/without shimmer etc., so I am showing the Made in USA on the ring finger and the Made in France on the others – and the Made in USA is just a tad darker.

Chanel Lilac Sky 210 The Color World collection spring 2006 swatches

Chanel Lilac Sky 210 – is from The Color World collection spring 2006: Paparazzi 208, Marilyn 209 and Lilac Sky 210 - click on the names to see the other two!

Lilac Sky is a pretty pink-toned lilac with a beautiful shimmer. The application was easy, the dry time good, and you see two coats without a top coat.

Do you like Lilac Sky..?
I like it a lot - and even better than the brand new Sweet Lilac, that you can see HERE!
It still can be found from time to time on Ebay and similar places, but unfortunately often at a fairly high price.

Chanel Paparazzi 208 The Color World collection spring 2006 swatches - Collaboration Saturday

My friend Elena from PicturedTinsel and I have new swatches prepared for you, it's time for Collaboration Saturday!
OBS: Blogger makes this more vivid pink than it is in person and on my photos - it is in person  a coral pink...
Chanel Paparazzi 208 – is from The Color World collection spring 2006: Paparazzi 208, Marilyn 209 and Lilac Sky 210 – and Paparazzi 208 should not be confused with Paparazzi 579 from 2013.

Paparazzi 208 is a pink with a coral and light brick hue and a gorgeous shimmer. Even if it’s pretty, it’s a bit too coral for my skin tone. This is two easy coats without a top coat.

What do you think of this Paparazzi?

Chanel Eclair 227, Holiday 2006 - swatches and comparisons

The Mondays before Christmas I'm going to show you some Chanel Holiday nail polishes. 
I already showed you: 2013/Rouge Rubis 677 - and the rest is 2012/Malice 637, 2010/Pulsion 547, 2011/Rouge Carat 587 and 2009/Trapeze 367...
Chanel Eclair 227 – is from the 2006 Holiday collection – I have found contradictive information of the possible rest of the collection, but Givre 229 probably also was part of the collection.

Éclair is a bronze-toned gold with a lot of shimmer. It is fairly opaque in one coat, but this is two without a top coat.

It’s easy to apply and not too prone to brush strokes. The dry time is good.

Mandagene før jul vil jeg vise nogle Chanel jule lakker. 
Jeg har allerede vist: 2013/Rouge Rubis 677 - og de andre er 2012/Malice 637, 2010/Pulsion 547, 2011/Rouge Carat 587 og 2009/Trapeze 367.
Chanel Eclair 227 – er fra julen 2006, og jeg har fundet modstridende oplysninger om de mulige andre lakker i kollektionen, men jeg er ret sikker på at Givre 229 også er en del af den.
Eclair er en bronzetonet guld med en masse shimmer. Den er fatisk dækkende i et lag, men her ser du 2 lag uden toplak.
